David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. At ten years old, he won the children's division of the Utah Talent Competition leading to other television singing appearances.[6] When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2.[6] In 2007, at sixteen years old, he became one of the youngest contestants on the seventh season of American Idol.[7] In May 2008 he finished as the runner-up, receiving 44 percent of over 97 million votes.
David Archuleta is treating us to some lovely instastory singing. He mentions that there isn’t so much pressure singing for us this way, I’ll take that voice anyway he wishes lol.
And it sounds like his Christmas Album is coming along. I can’t wait!
I’m sending him requests via the instastory so hopefully he’ll do this weekly 🙂
davidarchie ~ Some of you may have noticed that I took a few weeks off from social media. 😬 It was extremely helpful and allowed me to get a better understanding of myself and where I am at in life. It’s so easy to get caught up in thinking about whether every moment in my life would be pleasing to everyone. Sometimes I get caught up to see if I am having enough interesting moments and witty remarks that will catch enough attention from people. I start rating my self-worth and how good my life is based on if someone chooses to look at my picture and like it or not who after 1 1/2 seconds most likely moves onto thinking about something else and looking at other photos and comments. I feel like I get caught up and obsessed with seeing if they approve or not the moment with comments and believe their comments and likes suddenly determine whether my life is great or not for where I am or what I am doing in the photo. It interferes with me being in the moment and enjoying where I’m at both physically and with my mindset, because I feel like I have to keep finding moments that will get enough people to look and “like.”
I may try to take more time without the temptation of social media and seeing how many likes I can get from a thought, picture, or video, and I would encourage you all to do the same and see what things you can learn about yourself that you may have forgotten while trying to get others’ approval. I will make sure to post more though and find the balance of sharing without caring too much. Haha. I guess it is a pull and tug that we all face throughout our lifetimes—not worrying what others think about us and letting that form our identity while having the courage to share what we learn and who we are. Know that a new song will be coming out in just a short time, and I’m so excited to share it with you! I will keep you all posted. 👍🏼 #dog#time #socialmediabreak

What a wildly successful weekend it was! David completed three consecutive concerts at The Tuacahn Amphitheatre, making for a musical hat trick. Thanks to the generous fans who took Periscopes, video and pictures, the rest of us back home were able to witness David’s comeback in real time! I can’t wait to hear more of his new music because what I have heard thus far is just wonderful!

St. George, Utah one year ago/credit pocoelsy
Exciting days coming up with three concerts and great weather ahead. It’s almost one year to the day that David performed at the Tuacahn Amphitheater in St. George, Utah! He must have been a success because he will again have three concert appearances in the same venue, starting tonight, Thursday, November 3, then Friday, November 4 and concluding on Saturday evening, November 5. If you’re lucky enough to attend any of the three shows, have a grand ole time and please report back to us, every little detail you remember!

From the Tuacahn website:
“The Tuacahn Amphitheater is a 1920-seat open-air amphitheater…The rear of the stage is open to expose the desertscape and red rock cliffs behind the stage which contains lighting, sound, pyrotechnical, and water effects installations. The area behind the stage is a mixture of natural stone and naturally colored concrete. This concrete riverbed was installed during initial construction to facilitate a massive 55,000 gallon flood of water that comes from the back of the canyon and across the stage toward the audience. Though conceptualized and custom-built for the “Utah!” production, this special effect and other water effects have been featured in numerous productions at Tuacahn.”
Djafan, Dayzee and Jenny and all other fans going: Hope you arrive safely! It’s 55 and sunny in St. George, according to my Weather Ap. Enjoy yourselves. Wish we all could join you!
And look what we have here! The lyric video for “Numb”, already with close to 2.500 views in a matter of minutes!
Surprise! Lyric video for #Numb up. Officially out on iTunes, Spotify and everywhere tomorrow!!!https://t.co/fm4yBQ4Moa
From davidarchie‘s instagram: I know I’ve been away for a bit. I needed a break from social media to get focused again. It’s interesting how distracting checking comments and likes can be. It’s also draining. I needed to get back into remembering how I felt about myself and not caught up in what everyone else thought of me (good or bad). Hope y’all can understand. Been in the studio the last couple of weeks finishing up songs with@casoncooley. It has felt great working with him so far! I’m feeling good about these songs. In the meantime, Here’s a throwback photo to when we went to Pula, Croatia.
