As we prepare to ring in 2016, one can’t help but reflect on the past year. As a forever fan of the most amazing singer in the world, of course I am overjoyed for David’s accomplishments but the icing on the cake for me is that David himself made the decision that he wants to do music, wants to continue doing music and announced it to his fans at recent shows. I never had a doubt that he would do anything else but share his velvety voice with us, but to hear him say it aloud meant everything and more.
Personally, I would love to see another New Year’s Eve performance on TV such as this one from 2010, where David performed a few songs on Fox’ New Year’s Eve Live from Vegas! Even if it’s not on New Year’s Eve, any TV performance will do. Exposure, exposure, exposure!

David Archuleta and the Year of the Horse ~ Happy New Year! #DA2014 is Here!

David Archuleta came into this world in 1990, the year of the horse on the Chinese calendar. The year 2014 will usher in the year of the horse again. Maybe it doesn’t matter. And maybe it’s an auspicious omen of rebirth, renewal and growth. I didn’t know about this fact until today, yet now it strikes me as strangely right. Long before I knew he was a horse, I made these images.
Long before that, I made this video. The Chinese calendar predicted I would marry a rat late in life. I did. He’s not really a rat though; he’s actually quite nice. So maybe there is something to it after all. It came true for this dragon. Hark! Is that the faint sound of galloping hooves in the distance? Gird your loins. This one’s a runner.
