David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. At ten years old, he won the children's division of the Utah Talent Competition leading to other television singing appearances.[6] When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2.[6] In 2007, at sixteen years old, he became one of the youngest contestants on the seventh season of American Idol.[7] In May 2008 he finished as the runner-up, receiving 44 percent of over 97 million votes.
Time to celebrate the Christmas David Archuleta Tour and his new MUSIC VIDEO!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! Have you all seen it? Here it is!
And David has asked the “Archies” for help on a project!
@DavidArchie – Archies, I need your help! Please send in some of your best holiday memory home video clips to archieshelp@gmail.com.. but only if you’re OK with it being included in a special project. 😉 Deadline: 11/23
It’s Christmas Tour Time!!!! Who’s going? Let us know in comments 🙂
Here’s the tour schedule and links for ticket purchase.
Nice new post DJAfan! Sorry to say that I won’t be able to go to any Christmas concert this year. It really hurts since I have went to at least one every year since American Idol! The dates just don’t jive with when I can go. If only he would come back to KC….it’s been 2 years since he was here. I’ll just have to watch the videos which don’t do him justice! Nothing takes the place of a live David! 🙂
Whoo hoo! What a great start for his Christmas concerts…sister getting married and sold out shows!!!!! Fun, fun to watch even tho I would love to be at one. 🙂 Like u said tho, maybe get to go to one in the spring….David please come to KC… ♥♥
David’s show on Tuesday in Moab was,as usual, a great place to be. The venue probably held 150-200 people maximum. David was David… the crowd loved him… my family loved him… and yep! I loved him. My 10 year old grandson was seeing him for the first time and was so happy that he sang his favorite song — My Little Prayer. Yeah, I’m glad we made the trip down just for this sweet little guy to hear his favorite song. It also gave us the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with the family here in Monticello which is just 50 miles from Moab.
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday and here’s to the rest of this season.
Abs, fun puzzle of a guy that gets better every year!
Tawna, glad your grandson got to see him in person. Sounds like you all had a great trip.
And I’m a happy camper, David is coming to KC in April! Yea….hoping he will be singing songs from his new album that is supposed to be coming out the first of the year. ♥
Yes, he just released it…got it in my emails. 30 cities from 3-30 to 5-11. It is posted on DavidArchuleta.com on his official page too, I think. That man will be on the move!! 🙂
I just found it in my email also. He certainly will be on the move. And this schedule only goes through May so it’s highly possible he could add more cities. It will be interesting to watch and see! 🙂 Okay, Abrra … Boston!! 😀 😀
Tawna! Jan! I get in LA concert! Arizona was great will be posting about that in a bit. Meanwhile since David is still on his Christmas concert I’ll post his spring concert list here.
Exciting news for Jan and Djafan! Abrra, I really hope you can get to Boston! I’m going to play the waiting game and see if anything closer opens up. Idaho is just 4-5 hours away, but I’m just weary of traveling. Our Fall time vacaction took its toll and I can’t even think of traveling and lodging. I’m getting old. If he doesn’t come to Utah then I’ll have to watch and listen to what is posted online. I’ve found it very interesting that videos and photos have been very scarce thru this Christmas tour.
Wow, so many cities on his spring tour and he said there will be more added in, so Tawna, I bet he will be in Utah some time or other. I agree with you on traveling as much…age is one thing and money is another for me. So it is awesome that he will be back close to me. 🙂
Dja, cute interview. “you can rock that glitter”…lol
Jan, did you get your tickets? It’s awesome that he’s finally back there where you can see his concert. It’s been a while since you were able to. And, I agree with the age and finances stuff. Living on ‘retired’ incomes makes a difference. Plus the fact that my hubby wants to go to Alaska next summer/fall will play a big part in what happens with a concert. I can’t say that I’m up for another cruise, but if that’s what it takes to get him there that’s what it will have to be. 🙂
I loved watching David work at getting himself unstuck a couple of times with the mom and glitter thing. He worked through it pretty well.:D
No I haven’t got it yet. Want to see if any of my kids are going. Show is cheap enough but the VIP is higher than last time so not sure that I will go to that since I have been to so many. But………..that is part of the fun.. 🙂 so I will end up going…never can pass it up! 🙂 It’s not a very big place so I probably shouldn’t wait too long and it’s not reserved seating. With VIP I would be down in front for sure. But I know what you mean about SS. Being retired has it’s good points but no money isn’t fun. Good thing I feel good enough to still work a little to compensate. Good thing I didn’t try to go to Nashville as my daughter still hasn’t had her surgery because of dragging their feet on the paper work. It will be so good to be able to hear all his new songs from his new album.
Yes, he is always self concious when he talks, but it was cute the way he came out with that comment! If I thought the whole world was watching me talk, I would be the same way! He is entirely a different person when he sings. He is so endearing. At least he can sing…I can’t! LOL
PS, I texted Dayzee about coming to KC again and she has the same problem about finances so we shall see. I told her it would be good to see her again. It’s been 2 yrs but it sure doesn’t seem like it.
I hear you ladies. I thought retirement would give me so much time ha! I don’t know now when I found the time to work lol. I got my ticket! And can’t pass up on the vip experience, I’ve tried lol. So glad for an LA stop and the new music.
I’m just loving that David is FINALLY getting to new places or re-visiting some that he hasn’t been to for such a very long time. I’m perfectly fine with not seeing Utah on the line-up because it means he and his managers are thinking about all the other places he needs to visit. And, I’m pretty sure he’ll show up here sooner or later. 🙂
We spent the day at a drill team competition where our granddaughter was performing with her high school. It was fun to watch all of the high school-age girls performing the dances and drills that they’ve spent countless hours learning and perfecting. I remember being on the drill team (many, many moons ago) and being able to move my body like they were today. There ain’t no way on this green earth I could even begin to do those jump into it splits. It just pained me to watch them. haha! While we were watching the girls our daughter was constantly getting an update from her husband 300 miles away at home on their son who was wrestling. Oh, those days when there are two kids, two different sports, two different venues to be at. That’s why we have kids then and not now so our young bodies are doing the chasing. Just sayin’. Anyway, he wrestled 8 matches in two days and won 9 (?). Yep, it happened that way. He had one match that his opponent forfeited so he got the win. Those are the matches that are a mercy when they come at the end of the day. He pinned all of them but the one that forfeited. He and his little brother were also with us at David’s concert in Moab. So, he’s not all brute and brawn, he does enjoy some cultural things! 😀
So, back to David. I think I’ll go stream some David Christmas music and let the rest of this Saturday evening just happen. ♥♥
Abs you picked a winner tonight! This Archie photo is the best! 🙂
Tawna you sure are keeping busy with the kiddos. They can keep you hopping. My daughter’s hubby is a coach of a girls softball team and they have games all the time and go everywhere. I can’t keep up with them all. 🙂
The morning after concert #2 in Franklin, TN… There were several standing ovations last night and if there had been time between numbers there would have been more. I travelled the distance to see him because there is nothing any more real or exciting about the spirit of Christmas than the time you can spend listening to David sing.
‘O Holy Night’ was astounding. I have never seen or heard anyone in music even come close to his performance. His voice filled the air like ten voices or more and he took us to a new place. We were in absolute awe. It was a concert that would have been perfect for a full professional taping.
SB,
It sounds like Tennessee is where David’s heart has rested. Those concerts seem to be truly outstanding. They all are, but I think TN. and SLC is where he works the hardest. Maybe one of these concerts will get taped by a professional … we can hope! It’s so good to hear from you! ♥
‘O Holy Night’ sung by David Archuleta has raised the bar that will never be topped. I’ve done a lot of comparisons because I’ve tried to find one that can top his … it hasn’t happened! Even in the very small venue that we were in last month, he had the rafters ringing and rattling with his voice and spirit. People were sitting absolutely frozen!! I may have just had some tears in my eyes as I watched my daughter, her two sons, and the girlfriend of one of them become one with David. It truly does happen. ♥♥
Sb,I agree on O Holy Night. It was outstanding. I sat there watching hi, just mesmerized. The best yet. Pam took the video of David singing the whole song and I got to hear it on FB. She didn’t make it where I could share it but maybe it will show up on Youtube.
Tawna, David singing Christmas songs can’t be topped, that’s for sure. ♥
We discuss how awesome and sublime David is in concert and then we see this puzzle picture of David as the goofball that he can be! A man of many facets
Yes, Tawna, the many facets of David is what makes him so great to me. Just little ol’ David..lol Thanks Abs. So much fun to do with all the snow we are getting here in KC.
Thanks DJA for bringing the video over. It is sublime, indeed! Nothing better than the Archuleta! ♥
djafan…..’Thank you’ so much for bringing along the video of ‘O Holy Night’, from Franklin. It is difficult to get the full impact of the song by video but we can all imagine how his voice filled the theatre. As in other concerts I am certain, he left people standing in absolute awe. I would make the very long trip just to see him sing this encore.
