David Archuleta is treating us to some lovely instastory singing. He mentions that there isn’t so much pressure singing for us this way, I’ll take that voice anyway he wishes lol.
And it sounds like his Christmas Album is coming along. I can’t wait!
I’m sending him requests via the instastory so hopefully he’ll do this weekly 🙂

hello all, just let you know , my dear wife ,went to heaven,after a week in the hospital on sunday, it was her heart,she was in the nursing home for the last year and half, I saw her every day, some days she new me and would tell the others hes mine. she told my daughter on Wednesday she had 5 more days.and her mother,father, brothers were there wuth her,but she had to wait 5 days,thursday she went into a comma,, but responed to my voice on Saturday. but nothing on sunday. so ther may be life after. talk to you all lateryours ray

Ray – you have my heartfelt love and condolences at this really hard time. What a sweet time for you to be with your dear wife in her final mortal days. Ray, in my faith we know of life after death. It is real, and you will be with your loved ones after death. Heaven has gained a new angel and you now have your own angel watching over you. May God bless you as you travel this road at this time. Last week, David’s gpa requested friendship on FB and naturally I accepted. Another fan commented that she accepted his friendship too. A few days later, his wife, David’s grandma had a stroke. She is ok now and at home. Just never know when something might hit you. In my life right now there are many sad things going on with different friends and some family. I have a long prayer list that is for sure. ♥
I am getting excited about my concert trip….started packing already and it’s not for over 3 weeks! 🙂
On a side note…I am reading a book and the girl’s name is Abra! Never heard of the name until Abrra on The Voice here. This one is spelled different but still pronounced the same, I imagine. 🙂
Had a great 4th and my daughter had a gender reveal party for her daughter who is expecting her 2nd child. It’s another boy! Big brother will be 6 the week before this one is due. They even have the name picked out! Eli Anthony…named after 2 grandpas. ♥

Dang, Tawna, it would have been good to talk to you. Yes it is very hot here. We never had a spring, went from winter to summer with it being in the 90s and 100s all spring and summer. Weather has been strange all over the world this year!

Thanks, Dayzee. Wish you could be here too, just like I wish I could go with you to all concerts out by you. I will take photos if allowed even tho my old phone is not the best camera anymore. Not going to the VIP this time as we bought seats up front and the VIP was too much after purchasing the good seats. I wanted to surprise Angie but it would cost another $250 and that doesn’t work for me now. Hoping for a close Christmas concert and getting VIP then.
Don’t know how that globetrotting singer is getting any Christmas songs recorded with the way he is all over the place. Ninja is right! 🙂

Went to Tuacahn to see Prince of Egypt. That stage is gorgeous, but just not the same without David on it. Everywhere I went were things to remind me there was no David in sight. The posters of coming attractions? Nope. Shucks.
We were on the drive home with David’s music to keep us company. My granddaughter asked me where I thought I would be if David had kept that summer job at the Murray theater instead of heading off to American Idol. I told her I would probably be in an old folks home trying to remember her name. Haha. She understands that David keeps us young.
Jan! Your concert is coming right up. So exited for you!

We just returned from a 15 day bus tour from Salt Lake City that followed the Mormon Trail back east. The story actually started in New York and came West, but this tour went backwards and we went East. We saw so much and had such a good time. We stayed one night in Kansas City, MO. and I wished I had a way to contact Jan across the state line but I didn’t… so I waved. 🙂 We did visit a couple of US history sites and Niagra Falls. We got soaked pretty good on the boat ride around the falls. We ended in Philadelphia and flew home from there… Abrra, I boarded a plane and here I am to tell about it. Ron’s carry on backpack got searched (he forgot he had a bottle of Gatorade in it) and my checked suitcase got searched after it was checked in (I figure it was probably the small can of mosquito spray that was in it that triggered their attention. It really irritated me for a while to think that they had been in my bag… I got over it. Anyway, I’m feeling the effects of riding, sleeping in hotels, living out of a suitcase for 15 days, walking my feet off, and traveling thru two time zones (coming home it was within 1-1/2 hours time frame) at an altitude of 32,000 feet at 504 miles per hour. I will be recovered by October’s concert. 🙂
Jan, don’t forget to have too much fun at your concert…. don’t let us down!! 😀
PS.. My 93 degrees here in Utah is certainly a different 93 degrees than yours back east. I think I like mine better. Humidity vs dry …. I’ll take dry!!

Yes, our humidity is terrible. I can stand the heat but not the humidity!

Sorry that I am not as active this summer. I haven’t been feeling great. I’m not sick or anything just a lingering cold and all the fun that goes with it. Also got some sad news about someone who used to be in my life.

Thanks for the puzzle Abs. Finally got to do it. Hope you are doing better. I, too, have had some losses here in the last few weeks. My pastor of 55 yrs passed last week and I had to leave the funeral to catch my flight to Arlington. Couldn’t be helped….
My trip was great and had lots of fun. The videos I posted were awful, as my ggranddaughter took them and then transferred them to me to post on my FB and IG. By doing that they ended up blurry and the sound was like he was under water. 😦 My photos turned out ok but I don’t see them on here, so maybe they weren’t good enough or something. My camera sure doesn’t take photos like Shelley’s does, for sure. I will tell more about the concert later. I got a phone call so now it is 1:30am and I am tired.

Tawna, I hear ya! I was totally mesmerized during this last concert. He is so good and seems to get better every concert. Don’t know how he does it.
I’ve been asked why I want to go to all of his concerts since they are the same. You just don’t understand, I say, that every one is totally different. He even sings the same songs different some how. And a lot of the fun is reuniting with the fans that I have already met somewhere down the road as David has the best fans ever. Those that doesn’t have that connection just doesn’t understand.
This concert didn’t disappoint me either…with the fans or with David. Some friends that I had met in OK. City about 8 yrs ago were there and the daughter is now 21. She is the one that seen David outside the venue when they went to Babe’s to eat, so she went over to say hi and they had their photo taken. Babe’s is a chicken restaurant right next door to the venue. She was in the Miss Oklahoma pageant and came in 2nd. Everyone thinks they make a cute couple and they do. Not trying to be matchmaker but they are cute together. 🙂
We didn’t go to the VIP this time but sitting in the 4th row was AOK! Gwen told us that the VIP was called the “personal VIP’ David said. He talked about dating and when he was on his mission. On dating he was saying that many people want to set him up with someone they know. He said he wants to be the one to pick out his own dates. 🙂
When David walks out on that stage and starts singing it just amazes me. I went to 3 Elvis’ concerts and I remember the first time I seen him come out on stage and I was blown away. That is the way it is for me every time I see David walk out. He is a tiny person with this great big voice!
At the end of the concert someone wheeled a girl in a wheel chair down in front to get a selfie with David. David literally laid on the stage so they could get his pic with her. Then he went and high fived the fans gathered up by the stage. A few wanted photos so he did therefore fans lined up half way back down the aisle. He loves to help us fans out!
I got to meet a fan that I hadn’t met but have talked to on FB and Golden Archies for the last 8 yrs. She has had a lot of lung problems and just got out of the hospital last week….her car broke down on the way to Arlington and was so disappointed because it had been 8 yrs since she had seen David and she got a VIP. The car was fixed and she was on her way and when she got there she was late because they had sent out emails to move the VIP up earlier. So she missed it after all and really upset. Someone said maybe she could get her money back. She couldn’t but they compensated her with better seats, the VIP gifts and a personal meeting with David!!!!!!!!!! She was ecstatic and we were so happy for her. If you get on FB you can see my photos, David and group, etc. Somewhere on there someone even had the photos of him laying on the stage. 🙂

There was so much more, but didn’t want to write a small novel! 🙂 Tried to hit some of the high lights.

Hard to believe it has been 10 yrs already. That’s when I delved into all things David after my hubby passed and he has been a Godsend! FOD was the first fans site I found. It was actually called something else and went to FOD. Found Golden Archies and The Voice. Love all the great fans that I have met either on here and in person. It’s like a big family and the “family reunions” are so fun at the concerts! Hope we are all on here in another 10 years. Can’t stop a good thing. 🙂

Forgot to say that I did get the BIG record of David’s and it sounds so good on my stereo. It is downstairs in the rec room, but I can hear it all over the house and it reminds me of when David is in rehearsal. The great, perfect sound of David’s voice echoing through my house.
More things have been going on in my life. A friend of a friend drowned in a lake and my granddaughter and family was hit by a drunk driver. Thank the Lord no one was hurt. Good thing the car had side airbags and built in side sun visors that were pulled down. The combination kept all broken glass from the 4 yr old that was sitting on the side of the impact. I feel so thankful. Last year, the granddaughter that went to the concert with me was in a one car wreck when she swerved to keep from hitting something in the highway and it flipped over the side and fell 20 ft below. Both girls had back problems but were alive, thankfully. Hard to believe that no one was killed if you seen the car.
Sorry this wasn’t David related, but just wanted to share.
