David’s and Nathan Pacheco’s duet of the cover of Ed Sheeran’s romantic ballad, “Perfect”! What a sweet surprise!
Usually you can’t get me to stop talking about how much I like one of David new songs or performances. This time, I’m at a loss for words. I’ve loved “Perfect” ever since I first heard Ed Sheeran sing it on YouTube a few months ago. My first thought back then was I wish David would sing it because the best romantic song sung by the voice of the best singer in all the land is the recipe for pure magic.

I just have no words – that would make any sense – to describe my feelings for this duet! It got me at David’s first note and pulled me into another realm from there. I. Am. In. Love!! The music that these two make together is out of this world beautiful! The emotion that comes from every word they sing is so real!! I’ve liked this song a lot since the first time I heard Ed Sheeran sing it. I really liked it when Ed and Andrea Boccelli did their duet. But now… oh my… it’s a whole new song. It’s my new, most favorite song. Heck, it beats out any CCR song on my list! It NEEDS to be in mp3 format! ♥♥ *deep sigh*

It’s been a great day. This duet released this morning… a movie with my hubby this morning (you might be getting old when you go to the morning movies so you can stay awake through the whole thing 🙂 ) …. visit with my mom (heard more stories of the past) …. taking Valentines around to our grandkids …. coming home to watch some more duet and then finding out it’s on iTunes …. making a purchase on iTunes. Yeppers … it’s been a good day! Lunch or dinner out? Nah, we had leftover Chinese. 🙂

I almost died when he sang bay-ei-be. I keep watching to the end of the English section and starting all over again.
I hope he sings this on tour – the entire song in English. With Italian is ok too as long as he sings it on his own.
I think you can tell I am not a fan of duets even though this one is pretty and they sound wonderful together.

I really like most all the songs even though they aren’t the old church songs that I grew up with. It’s the new sounds and they are really good. 40 songs so I only listened to maybe a minute of each song. He even has 2 of his on there! 🙂 Shine a Light and My Little Prayer.

Brady isn’t going this time. The man on the left is Nick Petty, borrowed from Nathan’s band from what I heard. Brady is taking his wife to Europe during the time of this tour, according to her IG post a few weeks ago.

Perfect was beautiful live. But I found the inclusion of the video rather awkward. I wish he would sing the English version in its entirety. That would be super.
Also, I think it’s time to drop Beautiful from the setlist to make room for more songs from his new album. But of course I am speaking as someone who has seen almost all the videos of his tours many times since the beginning of time.LOL
Did they have a strict no video rule in force at the venue?
Why were the seats so far from the stage? Surely they could have found another way to deploy the concert camera instead of taking up so much space in front with the camera dolly. Are tracking shots really necessary when all the audience wants are close ups of David? Sorry for the rant. But I really wanted to see some close-ups of his performance plus a clearer look at those cuffed jeans and stylish shoes.

Fen #31 …. I’ve been to BYU-I and it’s a very strict no camera policy. And yes, that camera dolly is seriously distracting!! I made me crazy when I was there!! I second the idea to drop Beautiful from the setlist. I think it’s run it’s course.
I wonder if Chad will be back at the keyboards in the future?

Chad lost a close friend to a skiing accident this week so he may be busy with the funeral. It was someone he considered a brother. There is a nice tribute on his IG.

Sad to hear about Chad’s friend. I think it was Chad that appeared at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville…he said he was honored. That was right before the loss. Forgive me if I am wrong.

It looks like a lot of people who were kids or early teens 10 years ago have rediscovered him and are falling in love with him all over again on this tour. It makes me so happy to see that.
His IG vid with a fan on stage – njfdsdfhhpjmlxz!!!! He can’t be real, right? He has to be some sort of magical unicorn princeling.

djbell did a good job with her videos… is she any of them that was up front? How awesome would it be if more of the venues would do the livestream thing! Plus, I love these small places that he’s been doing. I wish there were some in Utah that he could do like that … I’m sure that there are some.

True fen, they always bring up AI and probably always will. He’s gotten better with the ‘short answer’ when he responds to the questions.
In watching that first video I can’t help but compare it to when he sang on, I think, Regis & Kelly, and maybe even one of the late night shows (my memory is getting older), and he was hanging onto the mic stand with a death grip, and now he’s just flying all over the place with ease. Love it!! Abrra could probably pull those videos up for old times sake. 🙂

Cadthu was so disappointed to miss the Bay Shore show due to being stuck in bad weather, that she needed that big hug from David.
