David Archuleta concert tonight at the Rogue Theatre, Grant Pass Oregon, CA Get tickets > HERE!
Description
In 1938, the year the Rogue first opened, the theatre was a beacon of the American Spirit. In its heyday, the Rogue offered Rogue Valley residents a place to escape from the daily struggle of life during the depression, a place to experience the wonders of the latest cinema technology and a place for the community to come together – for first dates, birthdays and community celebrations.
Today, the Theatre is still a special place in the hearts and minds of Rogue Valley citizens; special to both longtime residents and newcomers alike because it stands as a proud symbol of Southern Oregon’s history, serves as a powerful catalyst for downtown economic revitalization and provides a venue for a diverse array of arts and cultural events that celebrate the human spirit, bringing people of all ages together to be entertained and inspired.
A preview of what awaits everyone tonight at a David Archuleta Concert!

I thoroughly enjoyed this concert from beginning to end. The setlist combined old and new songs and some from in between. It’s a long time fan’s dream to hear David sing even a medley of the old songs. To hear My Hands, Nothing Else Better To Do and Running again was a dream come true! David’s voice stayed strong as he delivered nearly twenty songs!
If he could be this good on the very first show on the tour, imagine how he will sound by the time he comes to my neck of the woods on the East Coast!
But of everything that I’ve read about the tour and I’ve read all I could find, the one thing that keeps playing over and over in my head is this, from the Center Stage press release, and I know it’s been quoted twice here already but it bears repeating. I’ve never heard David sound more satisfied with himself and it sure sounds good.
“This is a new beginning,” he explains excitedly. “I’ve never felt so intrinsically fulfilled and electrified by my own music. “It’s not just taking another chance with music, it’s taking another chance on myself.”
Many thanks to Janey for periscoping for us.

Bebe. ““This is a new beginning,” he explains excitedly. “I’ve never felt so intrinsically fulfilled and electrified by my own music. “It’s not just taking another chance with music, it’s taking another chance on myself.” ” This is what we’ve been waiting for, for such a long time. I’m so excited it’s happened — and I’m still here to witness it. 🙂
David seemed pretty tickled with the dressing room … and the poster of himself. I think he realizes, finally, he is a spotlight item! ♥♥
It’s also interesting, to me anyway, that David refers to this Orion Tour with the ‘more to come’ idea always floating around. This tour could go on for a very long time because of the fact that new music is supposed to come out every two months or so. THAT is not a bad thing!!!

The Rogue looked beautiful inside and I wish I was there sitting on the first row! 🙂 If the St Louis concert looked like that, I would drive the 300 miles. 🙂 Still hoping for a closer one. ♥
Tawna, I’m also glad that I am around to see him finally have faith in himself. After all, we knew he was the greatest singer ever! lol

I read so many tweets about the show in Grants Pass saying the crowd was young fans and many new fans! House was nearly sold out. David was on fire when he sang and very relaxed and confident talking on stage.
David met with fans at his tour bus after the show.
Thanks @rhiminee for the find and the scream cap.

Thanks, Abs. If everyone was like David there would be world peace. ♥
I read where the cd’s are going to be sold at the concerts, so if anyone would get one for me, I would pay for it and the postage. Thanks. Now if a concert comes close to me, I can get my own, but so far, I am out of luck!

Great puzzle Abrra. If we would all just ‘give peace a chance’ !! I’d luuvvv to hear David sing some Beatles and John Lennon songs. Some of them had some pretty amazing messages.

Hola!
I’m so enjoying the beginning of this tour! It’s like a grassroots movement on a tour bus from city to city, I love it. He’s ticking so many boxes like Simon used to say lol Reminding old fans of his enormous talent and picking up new fans along the way!

‘American Idol’ runner-up David Archuleta to perform at Sacramento’s Crest Theatre
Posted: Sunday, June 4, 2017 6:00 pm
Special to the News-Sentinel
International pop star David Archuleta will bring his talents to Sacramento on Wednesday. Archuleta launched his career in 2008, when he became the runner-up of “American Idol” with 44 million votes. Since then, he has found success both at home and abroad. “Crush,” his debut single, sold more than 1.92 digital copies, paving the way for a string of albums that have touched on genres including modern pop, Christian music and holiday favorites.Archuleta has been a familiar face on TV, too — not only on “American Idol,” where he became a cast member at the age of 16, but also on shows like “iCarly” and “Hannah Montana.”
His 2010 autobiography, “Chords of Strength: A Memoir of Soul, Song and the Power of Perseverance,” landed on the New York Times bestsellers list.
Archuleta took a break from the public eye in 2012 when he put his singing career on hold to volunteer at the La Misión Chile Rancagua in Santiago, Chile. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Archuleta worked as a volunteer missionary for two years. Upon his return, he began changing his approach to songwriting, going beyond his Top 40 roots to focus on honest, heartfelt lyrics.
Now, he’s on the West Coast tour celebrating his new EP “Orion,” which was released on May 19. Archuleta said the lessons he learned on his mission trip inspired the album’s lead single, “Numb.” “People really want to connect with what’s coming from someone’s heart, from their soul, and what they’re going through,” Archuleta told Billboard. “I feel like (‘Numb’) was that for me.”
Other singles on the EP include “Up All Night,” “Say Me” and “Invinceable.” Archuleta will perform a variety of fan favorites as well as his new work at the Crest.

Thanks Dja and Rebecca. I seen an up close video on FB where David sang Heaven and he had those cute little smiles sneaked in there off and on. 🙂
I still listen to the Forevermore extended version every night. I usually go to sleep in the last part where he doesn’t sing…called “minus one”. Good hearing him sing Forevermore at his concerts.
David you have that “light” for sure. ♥
