David gave his thoughts on American Idol Reboot:
“Archuleta, who was the runner-up on the show in 2007 when David Cook was crowned the season 6 winner, told Us that he hopes the new judges and producers will focus on talent more so than those cringeworthy auditions.
“I know I’m sappy, but I think it would be nice to put more emphasis on the good talent … it’s not just we’re going to make fun of you, that always hurts me to watch,” the “Up All Night” singer, 26, shared. “I think it’s super sad, playing with people’s emotions. I think Idol could do without it. They can get millions of people watching without having to humiliate people.”
Archuleta added that he’s also excited for Katy Perry to judge contestants. David is excited to start his touring on June 1st for his new EP Orion. “I felt really unsure of myself and depressed for a while, but I learned to come trust my own voice and I wanted to share that message with my fans.” Archuleta tells Us:
“I love Katy, she’s always honest. She’s nice, but speaks her mind,” he told Us. “I think people will feel refreshed hearing from her. I think that’s why Idol worked because Simon [Cowell] was so brutally honest.” ”

David Archuleta just debuted his first video in what feels like forever and it’s pretty amazing to watch.
The singer dropped the visual for “Up All Night” and later explained the true meaning and inspiration behind the song and video.
“Years ago, I was up all night for a different reason because I was lost and confused, wondering where I was going in my life. This family invited me to go out to rural Tennessee, away from everything and go fishing and to just spend time with them outside on their property,” he says.
David adds, “Suddenly, in this simple place, I found myself and I found motivation and inspiration and I found a piece of my identity that I was missing.”

I think this video is the epitome of David. ♥ He is so talented but yet he accepts everyone on his level…this is what everyone loves about him…this is what makes him great! ♥
Love it and love the new songs. I am still hoping that David gets the fame and fortune that his talents deserve. But him being happy in what he is doing is what it’s all about.
Thanks for the prayers, Tawna. It was a wicked storm for sure, but no tornadoes, thankfully. My granddaughter has a daycare next door and a bunch of neighbor’s tree limbs fell over into the backyard and broke down the swing set and messed up the play area. 😦

Loving the video!! Of all of the ones he’s done, this is my favorite. I guess the fact that I love the song could be part of it. It’s definitely a feel good video that makes you want to get up and dance. He did a great job! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Catchy tune, nice melody, good beat and DANCING!!
What more could we ask for? Fans have been waiting a long time to see David dancing in a video and he delivered! We always knew he had it in him.
I agree, MT. This is my favorite of all Davis’s videos.
It’s polished, clear, cutting edge, and tells a story with a beautiful voice.
This video ticks all the boxes!

So………..
I have purchased the Orion EP via my cell phone. I gave a listen to all the songs from there. I thought that David did a nice job on the writing and picking songs that meshed for the EP format. His voice is crisp and clean where it needs to be and is smooth and velvety when the song requires the emotion.
Then I ripped it to a CD.
It played in my car as I drove to work.

David has done a fabulous masterpiece called Orion!!
As a fan, I am thrilled that he has continued to make music for us. I am anticipating the rest of the EPs with glee 🙂

Isn’t Orion like the best?! The car is the preferred method of listening to David music, wow, just wow. I love it and can’t wait for the rest of those EP’s. I keep remembering his fist pump in that facebook live, he’s excited for us to hear the rest! Aye Aye!!!!

Abrra, I have to listen to it on my desktop so far. Haven’t been able to burn it to a cd which I really like…something tangible in my hand! 🙂 But I listen to it over and over while doing my chores around the house. Love that dancing David…he can go on Dancing With the Stars now! 🙂 One time he said he might if he had the right teacher. 🙂

So. This might come as a shock to some of you on this blog but I kinda like David Archuleta. I mean, I think I’ve posted about him here a time or two…
WELL. He has just released his first collection of new music in 5 million years and it’s freaking brilliant and I wanna talk about it. Gird your loins.
There are only 4 songs on this EP but there are 2 more EPs planned to be released this year. So I won’t get too salty about only having 4 songs to rave over right now. But really my people – it’s the quality not the quantity 😉

I read on Twitter that Kari said they are making the album into a hard copy! 🙂 She said because that’s what the fans want! ♥ Love it since I wanted to buy some copies to give away. Couldn’t order but the one digital on Amazon. And I won’t cheat David by making multiple copies from the one.
Seen on FB that Jen, the photographer that passed a few years ago, son’s cancer has returned really bad. Kari was notified to tell David. That poor husband and dad that lost Jen and now his little boy. So sad. 😦

Love your Tawna Trivia! Kind of sounds like me. My youngest sister is 13 yrs younger than me and started kindergarten the same yr I graduated! 🙂
I pulled a Up All Night last night…and not by choice. Got to sleep about 3, woke up at 5 and went to the bathroom and then couldn’t go back to sleep. Finally dozed around 7 and woke up again about 8…ended up with a total of 3 hrs sleep and I’m so tired, my tired is tired! 🙂 I had a mammogram scheduled at 1 so I was desperately trying to get more sleep in, but no it didn’t work! Hoping for nothing on the mammogram! I guess that’s my little bit of news from my house today… ♥ My kids from TX are supposed to be coming up again tomorrow.
