David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. At ten years old, he won the children's division of the Utah Talent Competition leading to other television singing appearances.[6] When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2.[6] In 2007, at sixteen years old, he became one of the youngest contestants on the seventh season of American Idol.[7] In May 2008 he finished as the runner-up, receiving 44 percent of over 97 million votes.

Nice post, dja. I ordered Nathan’s album but haven’t received it yet. Beautiful song for Easter coming up. I remember last year seeing David in AZ at Easter time and he sang “In Christ Alone”.
Tawna, I’m hangin’ in there too. Been super busy clearing out “stuff” here in the house. Accumulation is bad…..so purging some…as my daughter calls it! 🙂 Looks like it will be another week or so before any album shows up… 🙂
Jan, hubby and I have spent the last 2 days ‘purging’ the toy room! 🙂 The hard part is that in doing one room it generally leads to another needing to be done. Then another …….! I guess we’ve got some work cut out for us for the next little while. 🙂 I wish I had known you wanted a Nathan CD. I’d have got you one here at the bookstore and shipped it to you. You’d have had it by now!
I opened up Nathan’s new CD and there was a great booklet enclosed. It was so interesting to have all that info and extra pics. And on the backside was a mini poster of Nathan. It listed all the songs and who wrote them. It listed other artists who performed on the album. It also included a personal note of thanks from Nathan to all the people who helped him get this CD out there. Sigh. Remember David’s first CD where he had a novel-sized thank you note to every one who had ever helped him? He said he was afraid he would never get another chance and he did not want to leave anyone unthanked. I need a David CD with a David booklet. That would make me so happy.

Dayzee, I had a fun time going thru the booklet in Nathan’s CD, too. I scoured it very closely looking for any mention of David, but there weren’t any. You know, cleaning out the toy room has had a couple of difficult moments. I have toys that my kids played with and I just can’t get rid of them. So, next best thing …. give the toys to them. 🙂 I took a bag of baby toys to my oldest son, handed them to him and told him that he gets to decide what to do with his memorabilia. When I showed him the little giraffe and rattle, that were his first toys, I got a smile out of him. With that I changed the conversation and walked away from the bag on the counter. Mission accomplished! 🙂 🙂

Wow. While the west coast is having those torrential rains, we here in the midwest are having Feb. temps of 80*! Unreal. Our normals for Feb is the 40’s. Dja hope you are all right and not in the middle of that mess.

I kept every toy that belonged to our children, their first baby hair brushes etc. They have children now and when they visit the toys come out and I can say this was your mother’s tea set, or doll or your dad’s favourite truck. They love to come to the attic and find the treasures. The Fisher Price toys are much sought after toys today. My dad built my doll house and doll clothes and trunk etc. Now our grand daughter has them and they are quite special to her and for me.
I am looking forward to hearing David sing new songs, even one. More people are talking about voices that heal and we know that his voice has been that kind of voice.
SB, I’ve kept all of that, too. Now it’s just time to part with some of it that the g-kids have outgrown and don’t play with anymore. And, I think you’re right on regarding David’s voice. It’s interesting how more and more great music is coming from Nashville. The kind of music that so many want to hear and listen to. Yes, even one song would be great to have. ♥

Nathan has had some increased activity in his career after hooking up with David. I really liked their Christmas collaboration though I would have preferred David only VIP’s.

I have loved puzzles since I was very young. When my mother took me to the library I did puzzles because I was too young to read. The ones that had basic shapes like star, circle, triangle etc were my favorite.

Forgot to say that some of those photos look mighty familiar since I have some of them. One of the things I am trying to finish is get my David stuff all together in one spot. My posters were on the wall but my photo albums are in the front room and his book is in my bedroom bookcase…I made some scrapbooks of his pics up until he came back from his mission and I decided not to make any more thinking that was a good breaking point. I love all his photos and I would save and print them and hoping he has a long career, I would have tons of scrapbooks. Not that is a bad thing, it’s just time consuming and if I want to look at photos I’ll just hop on here! 🙂 ♥
