David is in Mexico and his tweet has me so excited that he is looking forward to an exciting new year! Trying hard not to read more into it lol What an interesting place he’s visiting. Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia.
Casas Grandes (Spanish for Great Houses; also known as Paquimé) is a prehistoric archaeological site in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. Construction of the site is attributed to the Mogollon culture. Casas Grandes has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is under the purview of INAH.
Casas Grandes is one of the largest and most complex Mogollon culture sites in the region. Settlement began after 1130 CE, and would see the larger buildings developed into multi-storied dwellings after 1350 CE. The community was abandoned approximately 1450 CE. Cases Grandes is regarded as one of the most significant Mogollon archaeological zones in the northwestern Mexico region,[1] linking it to other sites in Arizona and New Mexico in the United States, and exhibiting the expanse of the Mogollon sphere of influence.
Casas Grandes complex is located in a wide, fertile valley on the Casas Grandes or San Miguel River, 35 miles (56 km) south of Janos and 150 miles (240 km) northwest of the state capital, the city of Chihuahua. The settlement relied on irrigation to support its agriculture.
The archaeological zone is contained within the eponymous modern municipio (municipality) of Casas Grandes.[2] The valley and region have been inhabited by indigenous groups for thousands of years.

Oh boy, David sure has an uncanny way of finding unusual, but interesting places. I have learned more from him than when I was in high school! 🙂 Of course it is with the help of the internet to go google it and find out so many new things. Kind of like “armchair travel”! ♥

Yes, Ray. Give Shelley all those words better than good. Her camera loves David. I’m always happy to see Shelley at a concert because I know we will get those awesome vids and pics. No matter how adverse the conditions, she always comes through for us.

Hoping the ice storm will stay to the south! Ice is so dangerous and will be hard on all the fans going to the Chief’s play off game tomorrow night here at Arrowhead. They changed the time from noon to 7:20 night time to help. Hope it does, it’s still dry here so far and was supposed to have started glazing by midnight. We had one round come through last night but by afternoon it had melted off. This round 2 is supposed to be worse.

Thanks Bluesky. We got it but not as bad as they predicted and the temp is supposed to start rising and turn to rain. That is what it’s trying to do, but the temp is holding at 32*. Won’t stop the fans tho…Go Chiefs! 🙂 The road crews have been treating the streets the last 48 hrs and that helps big time. It’s supposed to be 60* here by next weekend…go figure! lol We’re one of those cities that we say if you don’t like the weather, just wait 24 hrs, it’ll change! 🙂

I tried it once at a wedding reception and it wasn’t bad. Tasted like salmon and rice and I love salmon.

I LOVE sushi!!!! But I know that it tends to get “localized” depending on where it’s made. These types of sushi are pretty common in Utah at least, don’t know about the rest of the states. ^_^ it has changed over the years. But I have loved it since I first tried it over thirty years ago. Then it was more plain looking and not so much sauce on top. (I don’t care for all the sauces, it seems to sweet and like they have just added “fry-sauce” on top!) I love the green hot stuff (whose name I cannot remember right now *_*) and I REALLY love the ginger!! I even tried making my own pickled ginger…I made several bottles of it just so I could eat it with every meal.

I love sushi too. My favourite is uni (sea urchin).
Bluesky, the green hot stuff is wasabi. I like it but I think too much of it tends to mask the taste of the fish. I like the ginger and pickle my own too. It goes well with century eggs. Try it some day!

Off topic a little. I had another dream of David and do not know why dreams are stupid! 🙂 I was a restaurant with some girls and seen David in a red shirt at another table across from us. I told the girl sitting next to me that if she wants to know what David looks like he is sitting right across from us and looking straight at us. She said “I know what David looks like!” 🙂 Which, naturally she did since we were all fans…I guess… 🙂
Next scene was David was sitting next to me (in a black shirt) and I told him that I really will be glad when his album comes out and he said “not long, now”! And that was it! 🙂 Dreams sure can be stupid….. Hope that part comes true, for sure! ♥
