This has been an incredible year in David Land.  This Christmas Tour was amazing.  I feel sad that this time many haven’t been able to witness the gift that is David but I know that will change in 2017.

Here are some of our favorites videos from the Christmas Tour.

Abrra:

I have a huge archive of videos to choose from thanks to 8throwcenter and ShelleyFOD who film at every show they attend.  So, I opened my files and these are my favorites!

Mary Did You Know-8throwcenter

This song is up there with my  all time favorites. Lyrically superior with a  haunting melody sung by someone who understands it.

White Christmas-ShelleyFOD

This song is vocal perfection. David adds his special vocal technique to the melody like no other. His interaction with the band brings them into focus during the musical interlude.

The Christmas Song-ShelleyFOD

Some songs that David sings are all about the sound for me. This one is all about the visuals. He interprets the lyrics with his hand movements and facial expressions. He draws us into the song with him.

I can’t finish my part without mentioning all the wonderful quirky and fun IG stories that David has made for fans. I particularly enjoyed the ones where he sang. I captured one he did from his hotel room where he sang in Mandarin language. It was a reprise of the song he performed in China, My Heart Represents the Moon.

You can find a copy of this in Abrra’s Candy Jar

Bebereader:

My very favorite performance is the jazzed up version of “White Christmas” but since Abrra already chose that one above, here are my next three picks.

Glorious. My heart leaps a beat whenever I hear the intro to Glorious. This song does to me what it’s meant to do.  It lifts me up because it’s so life-affirming. Am happy that David chose to include it in the set list for this Christmas tour.

The Prayer. I liked this song from waaayyy back but David brought it back to life for me. In this duet, David’s and Nathan’s voices blend harmoniously resulting in a beautiful sound. I love the respect they have for one another too.  Yes, this was definitely one of my favorite performances from this tour.

My Little Prayer. I call this song the little song that could and did. It started out as just a dream David had and turned into something remarkable for a young singer songwriter. I honestly didn’t want to like this song because I tend to stay away from songs about someone’s dream. But the end result, after David polished it for recording and singing live for this tour gave me no choice; it’s just just wonderful.

Djafan:

All are my favorites at some point due to various circumstances.  Right now these are on repeat.

Oh Holy Night.  This has been my favorite Christmas song since I can remember and having David’s version completes the sound it’s supposed to have.

credit: 8throwcenter

Ave Maria.  This is another song that I grew up listening to and loved.  But David singing it opens up the heavens.  He sang it at VIPs and so glad it was recorded.

Joy To The World.  David’s live version is so soulful.  I love when David lets out the soul.  The ending is killer.

Dear Abrra! I missed your birthday, I hope it was wonderful, even though quiet. Sometimes quiet can be just the thing. ^_^

Thank you for all you do….I couldn’t express how much I appreciate the gift you, and Bebe and Djafan are to my life by sharing your passion, your fun, your humor, your friendship…even at a distance, you all add a great deal to my life. My journey with DA would not be as sweet without you.

And those feelings extend to all of you who post here. Whether it is Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or simply Happy Holidays, it doesn’t matter, because the friendship and love is the same.

Thank you and may God bless and keep you safe this Christmas!

Merry Christmas Abrra, Bebe, DJA and all fans! Bless you for all the treasures you provide for us fans. My fav’s are Chestnut from Vegas VIP, Joy to the World (Costa Mesa) – I was in front row during that one and I couldn’t breathe at end of that song. There was something really powerful there. Mary Did You Know also at Costa Mesa! I loved all Ave Maria’s..I really loved it all.

Seeing David in my home town was very weird for me as I have grown used to long drives to Utah for his concerts. It’s like when a vision from your fantasy hits your real life, lol. He looked especially handsome in the glowing lights of Segerstrom Hall. He should really come back every year!

Thanks DJA for convincing me(?) to go to Vegas also! I’m so glad. Just to hear that Chestnut live alone was worth the whole trip!

    Sorry about my long rambling!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! David just blew everyone away w this tour and I can’t wait for more to come!

Little Violeta is so cute and is growing like a weed. 🙂 Her uncle is kind of cute too! 🙂

It is hard to believe it has been a week since I seen David live again and now all the Christmas concerts are over for another year. Except for my cd’s! 🙂 With the way he has loosened up, I’m so looking forward to 2017 and see what he has in store for us! ♥

I think I have used every word in the English language to describe David, so all I can say about his Vegas and Mesa concerts are WOW!!!, just WOW!!! 🙂 Had VIP in Vegas but not in Mesa as it was sold out. The VIP’s I have went to were in a special room but this one was at rehearsal. David asked if everyone was from Vegas and the ones that were not yelled out which city they were from. I yelled out “Kansas City” and he said “that’s a long ways to come”.Then someone yelled out “Boston” and he said “I think that’s a little farther than Kansas City”! 🙂 When it was time for pictures, Nathan took me by the arm and asked me what my name was and I told him “Jan, and I saw you singing The Prayer in Richfield.” He said “are you from Richfield and I said “no, I’m the one from Kansas City”! He said “oh yeah, thanks for coming all this way.” Then David said”wow, that’s a long ways to come to see us, thank you for coming”. I patted his arm and said “David, I have flown all over to hear you sing!” He laughed and said “oh yeah, I remember you!” And I thanked him back! 🙂 That is my highlight in the concerts…to talk to them. I had a terrific time at both concerts, it was so much fun to get out my comfort zone. Got to meet up with Archiefans that I have met through David. There is just so much, I would be writing a small novel! 🙂 lol And I’m not very good at condensing!

These 2 people are so respectfully nice and friendly and they respect each other too. Their singing together compliments each other, just beautiful!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends. I got all my cooking and baking done, ready for the family tomorrow. Love you all!

Thanks Bluesky. No worries. God willing I will get another one next year 😉

Abs, thanks for bringing over my post and thanks for the great colorful puzzle! I’m sure getting excited for the new album. I bought a whole bunch of David’s mini album of 2 songs and gave them out for Christmas gifts. Everyone loved them. Now I’m waiting (patiently) 🙂 for the new, full album. LOL

Had a great Christmas day with family. It’s always fun to get together. ♥

A huge thank you to Abrra, Djafan, and Bebereader for opening your living room up to us for chatting and sharing. It’s been such a huge blessing to be able to come here and feel the warm fuzzies that are available. Whether it’s words, pictures and videos of David on this tour, past tours and performances, or words amongst all of us here of encouragement, birthday or anniversary wishes, prayers and wishes for recovery, this is a great place to chat and feel cozy. Love it!! Please just keep the light on, and the heat turned up, we’ll hang around and watch ‘home movies’ and put puzzles together!!

I’m so lovin’ the new David! It’s great to see him feeling so at ease on the stage. But mostly, it so great to know that he’s feeling that security on stage because he put himself there. No one has forced him into a false sense of who he is. He knows who he is and, pretty much I think, where he’s headed. We couldn’t ask for more. IMHO.

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday time!! ♥♥

Prayers have been answered !! No more crying about not seeing David’s IG Stories 😉

Chrome browser has an extension add on you can install to see and save IG Stories called Chrome IG Story

Open Chrome and paste this link
    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions?hl=en-US

Search box to left type in Chrome IG Story.

A window will pop up and the install icon is to the right.

Once it’s installed, the IG stories will be at the top of you Instagram page, just like on your devices.

You will need to be logged in to Instagram on Chrome to see IG Stories.

(This will not work on Firefox, just Chrome.)

Thanks to rhiminee for this tip.

I got it to work with no problems , so if you have a problem, ask a teenager 🙂

Note: If you want to save a video to a folder, right click on the video and choose “Save as” this will open your hard drive and you can browse to the folder you want to save it in. It saves as .mp4 and you can rename it before saving if you want.
Pictures can’t be saved by this method FYI.

haha Just found this site. Might explain it better than me.
