So happy for David’s MLP! Who would have guessed that a little talk in a dream with God during the middle of the night would go this far! ♥
Oh, goody, get to see Dja again in Vegas and Suzy in Mesa! 🙂 And Dayzee tomorrow! 🙂
I’m already to go, now if the butterflies would calm down I’d be much obliged! 🙂
Hope everyone has a good time at the concert tonight…whoever is going! ♥
I watched the Voice last night and thought Alicia wasn’t that great at Ave Maria. Thought We was much better. And, of course, David is always the best…singing any song! ♥ Don’t care who wins tonight. I think the 4 finalists are all comparable. I really like Sundance though.

DA’s voice is as unexpected and piercing as the sounds of a storm – you listen for it and recognize it, yet it is always new and unexpected.
Yup. Flash of lightening.
And even the quiet rumbles that sound “far away” are strikingly powerful in their intimacy, immediacy, and depth.
As sensory an experience as being left in the rain, yet as comforting as never leaving home.

Funny how Amber refers to David is a “child”. Kid at heart for sure 🙂
Latest Vegas and Costa Mesa count from Ali.
Ali says:
Las Vegas is actually up to 69% sold as of right now. 1309 tickets sold out of 1898 capacity.
Costa Mesa has sold 1319 out of 1704 capacity, 77% sold.
Nice write up.
If you’ve ever wondered why so many American Idol fans fell in love with the voice of David Archuleta during Season 7, all you have to do is listen to his latest single.
More than any of his post-Idol pop hit, it shows how wonderfully he can deliver a heartfelt vocal.
Little wonder it’s number two on the iTunes Christian gospel singles chart two full days after its release.
The song is “My Little Prayer.” It was released Friday along with the accompanying video you can check out at right.
There’s quite a story behind the song, David writes on YouTube.
“Something I try to do to each day is begin by saying a prayer in the morning, and then end my day with a prayer at night. Sometimes, however, I fall asleep before I say my nightly prayer. One time almost a year ago, I had one of these nights where I fell asleep before saying a prayer. Something unusual happened.
“That night I had a dream. It was different than anything I had experiences before. In my dream I was praying — having a conversation with God. The conversation was also different. I was singing. I could hear simple chords in my dream that I was laying a simple melody and prayer on top of.
“As I was having this conversation in music with God, He told me to get up and write this down. I thought and said, ‘… but… I’m sleeping. I’m not sure I know how to get up from a dream!’
“He told me ‘if you don’t get up now, you’ll forget it in the morning.’ I tried everything I could to wake up, and I did! There in the middle of the night I went straight to the piano with the words and melody I had spoken in my dream still clear in my head, and wrote it all down. It was the fastest I had ever written a song because I feel this one was given to me.”
After a long dry spell, the single is the second David has released in two months. In early November, he released “Numb.”

The video from Rich Parkinson is sooo good! The sound quality is amazing. It’s interesting that he’s not on the front row and got that kind of sound. This is what he said on his FB post ..

It’s always an interesting feeling being in the crowd and hearing something, that was once all in your head, come to life in such a beautiful way. Merry Christmas, everyone!
P.S. there’s a bonus track!!!”
Thank you for the videos and pictures from Logan.

Leave it a small child to remind us that its the simple things in life that make it sweet. This the daughter (named Lucy) of Jamba Jim of MTV who often interviewed David.
