David Archuleta to perform three nights at Tuacahn
“Although the new album is a long time coming, Archuleta admits it takes him a long time to do a lot of things — even ordering food at a restaurant. In fact, he compares himself to Professor Calamitous, the evil scientist from the “Jimmy Neutron” franchise whose plans are always foiled because he’s never able to finish any of his projects.
The difference is that Archuleta does eventually finish his projects. Part of the delay for the album is because each song in an original. Each track started with an idea from his head. Some he wrote on his own while he worked with co-writers on others.
“I just want them to be me,” he says. “I want them to say the things I want to say.” ”
“Singing in Spanish not only helps him connect with his own heritage but also the people of Chile that are still in his heart two years after his mission there. He now lives in Nashville but he goes salsa dancing every Tuesday because of his love for Latino music and culture.
Archuleta is currently working on a full-length album he hopes to release early next year. Following this English-language release he wants to do an entire album of Spanish-language songs.
The 2017 album will include his new single, “Numb,” which he actually performed at Tuacahn last year. He has already shot the video for the single.”

The headline for that article should have been “David Archuleta salsas every Tuesday!”
I need that reporter to ask these follow-up questions:
– does he call up a girl every Tuesday and say hey come salsa with me?
– does he go to a salsa club every week to dance with random people there?
– is he taking weekly salsa lessons in preparation for the day when he goes on tour with his Spanish album?
Has anyone in Nashville seen him dance???? Why isn’t there any video?????
That IG video just about killed me. I think I won’t mind skipping the new album if he can make a Spanish one immediately.

Gladys says she’s had the honor of seeing David dance salsa. Her wish was that everyone get to see this marvelous thing and believes her wish is about to be granted.
Oh I sooooo hope so. I remember it was to the song La Vida Es Un Carnaval, Life Is A Carnival, that Gladys witnessed singing and dancing to. Can you imagine if he does this at St George????!!!!! We will flip!!!!
Remember this??? He is a dancer.

Love the article. Glad that the 1st Tuachan concert was memorable because of being unexpected cold because I was there. 🙂 It was very memorable to me too…meeting Gladys from Argentina and Shanny from Australia. Plus meeting up with all other fans that I had already met. It was so much fun and I will really miss it this year. But happy that I am going to the Vegas and Mesa concerts. More new, exciting memories coming up! Thanks, Dayzee! ♥

Gave up on guessing when the album is going to be released….I’m a patient person but 4 yrs is a real long time…. 🙂 Glad he isn’t NUMB anymore and happy that it’s going to be on his album. Can’t wait to see the video.

Went and seen Moses Saturday night and The Presley’s last night. Both are really good shows, but nothing takes the place of David and never will. I always compare others to him and they don’t even come close. We love you David! ♥ Can’t wait to see you again in concert! Whoo hoo!! YOU are going to be awesome…as usual!
