Getting excited to hear from @DavidArchie at #tofwbirmingham tonight!! Will you be joining us?
David Archuleta is performing and speaking at the Time Out For Women tonight in Birmingham, Alabama. This will be his last TOFW event of the year. Hoping for videos. Will be posting any finds in the thread.
The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex is huge place. The TOFW will be held in the East Hall of the complex.

Dja, I’ll miss being with you all in Tuachan this year, but I’ll be there in spirit! 🙂 Last year was so much fun. I am looking forward to the Vegas and Mesa concerts tho…thanks to Dayzee. She is a sweetheart! Will be good to see all that will be there. ♥

On a side note, my oldest daughter was born in Alabama when we were in the Army stationed at Fort McClellan in Anniston, AL. A few years ago on the way to FL we stopped in the town to see where we had lived. The house was gone and in it’s place was a urinology medical bldg and Ft McClellan was closed. Things sure had changed, but it was a long time ago. Where does the time go? That’s why, as long as I’m able, I will go to David’s concerts when ever possible. 🙂

Thanks Jan. I try to choose something that is a challenge. I just discovered that you can maximize the puzzle screen by clicking the square icon on the lower right corner. DOH! So much easier to see the color shifts in the pieces.

So glad Gracie will be singing with David again at Tuachan. She’s a sweetheart. I got to talk to her last year and told her that I was from KC too. She does a lot of charity things here and has sang the National Anthem for the the Professional sports teams. Some of the things that David does or used to do. She lives and goes to college in Nashville now.

No offense Fen, your “growing too old” comment on David sounded like a low blow. Growing too old? Really? Maybe 17 or 18 would have been fine a LONG TIME AGO but he’s in his mid 20s now.
P.S. When you get woken up by your parents talking loud about politics it makes you a little grumpy.

No offence taken. In any case, my comment was really just a lamentation for the passage of time. That even David, who seems forever young to an older person like me, is not immune to aging. That once he too was 17 and therefore would have been deemed a match for another 17 year-old. That now, alas, even 18 is considered too young for him.
Time marches on for all of us. That, to me, is the real low blow.
That being said, I must add #32 is a nice picture and dare I say it – they do look cute. Together.

Last night I watched the debate from the Thomas & Mack stage in Las Vegas. The last time I saw that stage was when I first saw David Archuleta live, in person. There was that 17-year-old standing on the stage looking a bit confused as the audience screamed, hollered and whistled for at least five minutes. The next fifteen minutes of David on stage changed everything for me. That was when he took over my life. A few days later I saw him on stage in Salt Lake City. Again the audience made a big noise while David stood on stage and patiently waited for an opening to do his thing. A S.L. critic wrote that David’s fans were very odd in that they would not shut up and let him sing. I think we have come a long way in containing our hollering, but it certainly still happens. For some reason he brings out our exuberance when he appears. What does all this have to do with the debate? Nothing I care to come up with. Just that all events bring thoughts of David.

Fen, It is never logical to me that I have been seeing David’s face every day for so many years. I think I have substituted “changing” for “aging”. And hopefully some change is for the better.

Maybe I just don’t pay attention to that much because I’m around his age and he looks the same to me but I can imagine, being much older, why that thought would come up so I find your explanation understandable. And Abrra, that is true and unlike most guys these days, I found David is pretty mature and maybe it’s just the way he is when immature moments do come up for me, they just make me laugh. They don’t get on my nerves in comparison to my older brother whose immaturity drives me up the wall! (shrugs) Just an oddball like that I guess.
Dayzee, changing is a good term to use I like that.
Claire, so true!! Sometimes those things bring up thoughts about David and your comment reminded me of a certain you know who that made headlines just this week telling his fans to be quiet for a few minutes so he could speak. Not sure if it’s the same thing but just something that popped in my head. Besides exuberance, I think David just has that ability to make people happy and shout out their joy and not care who sees.

I remember someone at a concert saying something to David about Kendra looking cute with him. His reaction was GROSS. He said she’s like an older sister to me. I’m sure he feels like and older brother to Gracie, although I’ll bet Gracie wouldn’t say GROSS. Maybe in about 4 years, when David is 30 and Gracie 22, the difference won’t matter so much. Just a thought.

One more thought. The older you get, the less the difference matters. One of my sons got married a few years ago. He was 45 and she was 33. They are happy as clams. My husband was 5 years older than I, and it was a good age difference. I think women and girls mature earlier than men and boys, so for the man to be older might even out the maturity difference. Maybe that’s why you see more men married to younger women than you see older women married to younger men. Of course, you reach an age where either way no longer matters.

Yeah David doesn’t age much physically but you sure do see the maturity without loosing his charm or charisma. He’s my fountain of youth 🙂
We really don’t know what 25 almost 26 year old David thinks about age differences now. That comment he made was soooooo long ago and we all know with aging comes wisdom, for most haha.

Kristin, My grandmother used to ask me, “look at my hand, I have four fingers and a thumb, do any of them resemble each other?” I’d say no, of course. She would respond ” that’s how our children are, all mine but not one alike” Very true. So I apply it to many areas of my life. For instance here, we are all David fans but none of us are alike in our fangirling and nothing wrong with that 🙂 All are welcomed to share their unique voices we may agree or we may not but we still love that one guy we’re all fans of.
