Spent the day listening to David in my car. Love those kind of days. But tomorrow at this time I will be listening to David at the outdoor theater. WOW! Kinda wondering about the VIP. Hoping David is as happy as I am about that. Actually, I don’t want to impose. Always liked seeing the soundcheck.
Going to Janel’s luncheon on Saturday. Food at Simply Thai is my favorite. Great to have a meal with people who speak David.
Going by myself to everything tomorrow, since Jan refuses to leave Kansas. Abs, I may have to lean on you for support. Those last few minutes of waiting for David can be painful The stage is ready but empty. Just waiting for that fella who has been the focus of all our preparations to be there.
I am doing much better Dja. Thanks for asking. Yesterday I finally quit whining. My family is relieved.
Wanted to say amen to Ray’s comment: David is back, bigger and better. Yep.

Sorry I can’t be there this time, Dayzee! You’d think 3 concerts in 4 days would last awhile but it doesn’t when it comes to the Archuleta!!!! You’re on your own this time, but I know when he starts singing you won’t care if anyone else is around! 🙂 Actually, my son and family is up here for the weekend and I wouldn’t have been able to be there anyway! Dayzee, I didn’t know you weren’t feeling well, hope all is ok now. And by the time tomorrow rolls around, you will be on top of the world! 🙂

Okay!!! so #34!!! Can we somehow bottle that glory note and the hunker down to the floor and the twirl back up!!!! Holy.. Toledo!!!! That one is replayed several times with each play of the song! Took my breath away!!

Tawna, I don’t know what container could hold that Everybody Hurts performance. Too hot!!! At the VIP he told us he would sing it and I told him it was my favorite. He gave a grin that was pretty much melting my insides.
Most of my time was spent with Victoria from SoCal who contributes on FOD Real sweet lady and dedicated fan. This VIP was her first face-to-face meeting with David and it was great to see how excited she was. When we were getting pictures taken she told him she was from Irvine and David said he had a cousin who lived there and talked a short time about the area. Afterward she asked me what he had said. Haha. I told her I did not look good in pictures but every time David is in the picture I am happy with my own image. Usually I am the one with the open mouth or one droopy eyelid or something, but with David all is OK. Victoria said, ” Oh it’s easy to see why. You are sooooo happy it makes you glow.”
I want to tell you about Shelley’s granddaughter. I saw her picture with David posted, but can’t remember where. As we were standing outside waiting for VIP, she pulls an enevelope out of her bag and passes around 4 x 6 pics of David. Someone said “Oh, thanks. Can I keep this?” “NO! Give it back to me” was her response. Later she asked if I wanted to see videos she took in Idaho. She gets her phone out and I am thinking this girl has more David than I do. She starts up a video. Then shows another. When Shelley retires this girl will be doing that job for us. 🙂 At the VIP David pulled out the question she had written for him. She had asked him how he liked certain Disney movies, having a list of 3 or 4. She and David had a Disney discussion.
Tomorrow. Oh boy.

Oliveoil here. Actually I’m here everyday, just don’t say much. I absolutely LOOOVE the Who I Am performance. Its better than the cd version IMO. I hope he does it more during his concerts. Its catchy, upbeat, and fun. Plus its his own song.

Isn’t it great that the vip songs are out there for every one. Throughout the evening no one ever asked us not to photograph or video. David even came over and put his face in my neighbor’s lens. The sun was so bright I had no idea what I was taking pictures of. Later I found lots of good pics of my fingers.
The vip was scheduled for 6 pm, with doors opening at 5. Most of us were gathered in the parking lot by 4. Just before 5 Kari greeted us from inside the gate and told us they would be a few minutes late opening up. At 5:05 she was back and greeted us. She and Amber guided us to our seats and we were all row 1& 2 in the center. My favorite place to be. Amber was beautiful in a white print dress and very gracious. She was extremely popular with the young girls and there was much picture taking. After we had our picture taken with David, Amber gave us the backpack and 8×10 gorgeous pic of David. It was fun to see her so involved.
As soon as we were seated the band came out. These really are a great group of musicians. They played some for us, came to the front of the stage and discussed the heat and the next thing I knew David was there! The 6 o’clock vip began at 5:15! It was awesome. The worst part for me is sitting looking at an empty stage waiting for David. Nobody complained about his earliness.
I enjoyed Bri Ray’s duet with David. She gets my vote.
Olive, Who I Am was enhanced for me when David explained how he had felt about it. It’s a new song for me now.

Have mixed emotions on what he said about him releasing his new album. I like him releasing a few songs now and then but having to wait til next yr for the album…not liking that too much. Maybe I misheard him…if so please inform me. 🙂
