Seriously!!! David is so entertaining…. even when he isn’t trying to be…. even when he’s just feeling spry and witty and feels like IG’ing a photo of him in a blue room and it reminds him of a blue song. (the song made me crazy) Love it!!!

Ok, you guys, David Archuleta social media posts are few and far between, but when they happen – the are pure gold. David just shared this gem of himself posing in a eye-catching blue shirt along with literally the best caption he could have written: “#Blue (da ba dee da ba da?)”
Our ’90s hearts are literally melting over the reference to the 1999 track Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65.

I don’t think I have seen this video of David and We the Kings. I did see one that was similar, but the camera was from backstage on the right. It very well could have been another band, not sure.

recognized it for what it was seem typically young (to me lol) and I hope they come back as the
strong fans that they once were.
I am on vacation, and last night, for fun, I went on idol forum. I never posted on there, ever, but I had checked
it out a few of years ago and then a couple times during his mission. His section was a ghost town. But last
night there were a few people logged in.
Interesting fact: Scotty McCreery had the most fans talking about him. He has a huge fan base. Always speaks to
them on Twitter, or retweets them. A little self promotion lol. No harm there. 🙂 He isn’t my cup of tea, but – different
strokes. 🙂

We all know that David doesn’t like to self-promote, but he may have to in order to have a music career. He will especially have to do more of his own promotion if he continues to be a indie artist. It will be interesting to see if he steps up his social media presence once he is ready to release the album and when his concert dates are closer. He’s been pretty silent lately except for a weekly instagram picture and motivational tweet.

GrammyJ #21, I agree with you. I’ve been thinking about that very thing lately. It seems the ticket sales at the two Idaho concerts are both only at about 50%. The Utah concerts sold quickly, in my opinion, because it’s David’s home state and everyone knows how he amps it up here. Plus, with the Utah and Idaho dates so close together, maybe too many fans spent their ticket ‘pots’ on Utah and had nothing left for Idaho. Who knows. Anyway, back to my point. David has been in this indie mode for long enough that he needs to do some promoting of himself. Between him and his agency, the word and his face have got to get out there more. IF he’s wanting a major comeback. Maybe he’s happy as a bug in a rug right where he’s at and where he is heading. Guess we’ll watch and wait.
I noticed that his concert is on the schedule yet on the Texas venue website.

I was checking the social media stats as to which countries, states, cities have the most activity when it comes to all things David and San Diego Cali is way up there, that would only be a couple hour drive for me. Not that 12 hour drives ever stop me lol. Please David make your way over here 🙂
Grammyj and Tawna, I agree. David needs to amp up his presence. Though I have to say he’s been more consistent with the contact in the last few months than the previous year. So that’s a step in the right direction.

If only it were closer. Unfortunately, some unexpected events have come up in the last few months so I won’t be able to fly to any of his shows and Midland is almost 1800 miles round trip by car. So, as of right now, it looks like I’m not going to be able to go to Midland or any other David concert unless one comes up quite a bit closer to me.
I’m beginning to think that seeing David live just isn’t meant to be. 😦

Wow, I was wanting a Midwest concert and it’s closer to me than Utah and it’s close to where my son lives! But……I’ve already made plans for 2 concerts in Utah and it would be cutting it too close to go to those 2 and then run back here to go to TX for that one! The dates and location just isn’t the best with my other plans. I need a KC Christmas concert! 🙂

Abrra nailed it: the shavings are mightily attracted and follow the magnet in every direction, but can only travel so far.
I was taking a look at the site for James Taylor. It looks like he has a good FB page that is kept updated. But most often by someone on his staff. He does read many posts and answers the fans directly from time to time. Same thing with his twitter account. I can see DA going this route in the future. That is: having help keeping fans updated without him having to do it Leaving some space, while staying current and connected.
Just a thought.

It looks like an all-day event and that they had a “paint” fight just prior to the evening with DA. The girls must have thought that that was bad planning. Probably the timing was decided by the male leaders of the group verses the female leaders. ^_^ I say: have the singing/serious program first, then the paint activity…. make DA join in…. ^_^

Just a quick drop in…my son and family is here from TX til Monday. I have a few since they are visiting some friends right now.

You stand there in line practicing what you’re going to do and say, and when you get into his “space” your mind is cleared of anything that had been there previously!! I wasn’t going to tell this, but since Fen asked about VIP and meeting David, I figured I would share my dream from this morning.
Riding bikes with a group of lady fans/friends. Seems we were heading to a sevice to hear David sing/give a talk. Kari was with us on bike too. I asked if David was on his bike (as a missionary joke.) 🙂 Kari said no, he just drove past us in a car so he would arrive at church on time. When we got to the building, David was ahead of us walking inside the main door. I noticed he kept turning around and looking at my group and assumed he was trying to get Kari’s attention. I told her,”I think he wants to talk to you,Kari.” As we got to the lobby area, David came over to me and put his arm across my shoulders and began to tell me how he had prayed for me and was concerned about me (hey, it’s my dream 🙂 ) and wanted to say how much all his fans meant to him. He was wearing a white shirt, dark tie and a sunny yellow cable stitch sweater.
Then I woke up.

You know what? I had never thought about it before, especially because of the “space” he needs. But I believe that you have got the right of it! I believe he does pray for his fans – and I would not be surprised if he especially prayed for those whose names he knows and remembers. You never know.
He has never thought of music as only a business. When he writes and prays for inspiration, he must also be praying to understand and connect to the hearts of those who will hear what he has written.
I feel your dream is spot on.
I hope you get the chance to experience it come true.

It was a very vivid dream. I woke up and reflected on the circumstances and typed out what happened ASAP. I think it’s because David has expressed himself so openly about how he plans to move forward. It took fans a long time to realize he is still the same person, just not as “available” with his time. Because of the times when he remains quiet to the fans, some assume he may not really care. I guess I am not of that mindset. I get the impression that he might care for others too much at times and that can consume valuable time needed for personal pursuits. Moving to Nashville was a step in the right direction to gain control over his life, post mission. I am happy that he gets to sing at a homeless shelter as much as when he sings at Roots Tech. Would I love to have him come to Boston? You betcha! But I enjoy his music through fan videos regardless of the venue.

Abrra PS: The color yellow in the Chinese Metaphors of the Five Elements has a lot of lovely attributes. While there are always various theories and opinions, some of these are as follows: yellow represents the earth, community, steadfastness, service, personal integrity, and sharing. Yellow is the color of late summer, when there is bounty, a fulness, and plenty for all. All gather together to harvest and to share.
Seems to me to describe this site.

It might be fate! Actually, after some hard thinking caused by fenfan’s comment #83, I recalled that my favorite sweater in Junior High was a lemon yellow ,Orlon yarn ( you couldn’t kill it in the washer and dryer) cable stitch pull over. So I suppose my dream had 3 of my favorites. David. A bike. My lucky yellow sweater. Gotta love how the sub conscience works, eh?
