Memorial Day ~ David Archuleta Patriotic Medley

Memorial Day has come to mean the beginning of summer, a time for picnics and barbecues, and a holiday to gather around the family. That happiness and freedom, however, is a product of the real cause for the holiday: the sacrifice made by men and women who have fought and died for the freedoms and liberties Americans hold dear. Memorial Day is a time to remember that the American way of life is not cheap but rather has been purchased by the lives and blood of so many who have sacrificed for us to live free and happily now.

I’m bringing this here in honor of all the men and women who have served, or are still serving, in our military.

    David’s “Bring Him Home”

I’ll be celebrating with, and thanking, those in my own family who served and were fortunate enough to come home. ♥

Hope you’re all having a day full of love, family, or whatever brings you joy.

MT, It would be a dream come true to hear David sing Bring Him Home live some day.

I think I love Hyper Threat Sound Studio. I found this on their Twitter page. It answers our questions about why David’s voice makes us feel so good and why we can never let it go.

That’s interesting to read. But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. It explains why I always pop in one of David’s CDs and put on something upbeat when I’m having a bad day. Listening to his voice makes me feel better. 🙂

Have a great Memorial Day everyone! I’m in southern Oklahoma on the way home. Cloudy with no Meatballs….I mean no rain! ☺ 😆

Hope you are all having a great day! Thank you Dja for this poignant post. I’ve been listening to ‘Bring Him Home’ quite a bit lately. It has just been a favorite the last few days. Could be because I have a new grave to visit and ponder at this year. It was with a proud and thankful, yet heavy heart, that was beating in my chest, when I placed a flag on my Dad’s grave on Friday. I took it out early so it could fly a little longer.

Hyper Threat Sounds’ tweet nailed it!

Looking at the little emojis at the bottom, (a CD, a speaker, a mic) it looks promising! Maybe they’re picking songs for the CD!

    ♫ It’s getting closer now, closer now … ♫ 😀

Gotta love the fact that the wires in our brains are not sitting there unused! We may be close to a short circuit, but all this guessing is certainly keeping them lively!! 😀

    More clues? 😉
    “May 27 2015

    Grand America
    Private Event”

Local private concert. Hence Kari’s visit and fresh haircut.
