I just love it.
It was a revelation.
That is why I say that DA will hear his own music for the first time – when he performs it. It is going to be amazing for more than just the audience. ^_^

When David sang this song at RootsTech he had the audience under a spell. I don’t think I breathed for about 4 minutes. When he got to the away, away, aways…. dang, I nearly passed out. This ‘old’ song suddenly had a rebirth and it was beautiful. David delivered this in true David fashion… a quirky little smile… catch the notes of the tune… go into the zone… deliver your soul with the words and notes of the song… end the song… slowly come out of the zone… another beautiful smile that says, ‘did you feel that?’… yes, David, we felt that!! We. felt. that!
Thanks for bringing this song back into the light, dja. ♥♥

One of my favorite songs by David and when he sang it on Rootstech it was even better than the recording. Especially when he got to the away,away, away…I agree Tawna! He sure has a way with words, smiles and humming! It was a shame that Kylie didn’t get in. She should have been part of it. Her drawings for the video was so perfect.
Ahh, November…..those concerts will be so great! How can I be so lucky?? 🙂

Hope to hear David sing all the songs from “No Matter How Far”, too! But the way he does his signature run on the word “awaaaaaaaay” in “Don’t Run Awaaaaaay” takes my breath away!

Don’t Run Away is one of my two faves from that album. I go to that one and HFO first, always. 🙂
It’s not my fave from RootsTech, I liked Mirrors and Nunca Pense (love that voice in Spanish!) just a little better. David’s live performance of Don’t Run Away took a little getting used to for me because of the change ups. But once I did, I loved it! It’s still number three, if you can even number them when they’re soooo close but I really love all three and, like Bebe, I hope we get to hear live performances of all those songs. 🙂

Dayzee and I just spoke and we have a plan in place. ^_^
You may wonder why we need a plan? Well, the weather here has been wonderful: high 60’s for weeks. But not today. Today we have had winds up to 80+ miles per hour, cars getting blown around, big accidents on the free-way. Dust storms to where drivers could not see….And now snow. Lots of it!!!
And.. it is supposed to continue through tomorrow. Whew. The venue is a good 45 to 60 minutes away by freeway, (depending on traffic) and we will be going at the beginning of rush hour.
So Dayzee has determined that we should go early. I can’t figure out why!? (ha, ha!) We may have to wait a while (it begins at 7.30) but I know how to pack granola bars!!
I don’t have a phone with a good camera. I do not know their rules for cameras, etc.
