Back On The Stage! Rootstech 2015 ~ David Archuleta

Rootstech 2015 is described as the world’s largest family history conference. It is a three-day event at the Salt Palace Convention Center which started on Thursday, February 12 and runs through Saturday night, February 14. Attendees are from 35 countries and from almost every state in the USA. At the Saturday night finale, David is scheduled to be back on the stage performing four songs plus the debut of his video we’ve been waiting for from Costa Rica. Remember the beach, the waterfall and the ten second clip?
There are fans who will be attending this event so we will be anxiously waiting for any news in the way of pics, videos and coverage. To those lucky fans, thank you in advance and have fun!

I will probs get voted out of the fan club if I tell you that life has overtaken me more than once in the last several weeks and that although I live right here….I do not have a ticket for tomorrow night. (Actually, I did not know I would even need one until a couple of days ago.)
I will be looking for the news on line just like the rest of you. But still, no worries. I am very happy it is happening and I have great anticipation that it will be amazing in ways that will be far reaching for Dear DA.

I have been texting with Dayzee from the event. I asked her about seeing any restrictions on filming video and she said “No idea.” But she was told that people can’t sit all day in the room where David will be singing. She thinks there may have been a problem.

I hope Tawna will be checking in. I gave her my cell #.
UPDATE: No restrictions of filming so far. Donny Osmond on now. Everyone has their phone cameras going.

I survived!!!!! Anything that happened was so worth it just to see David ‘back on stage!!!
*13 thousand people
*seriously squished at times
*sitting on the floor to eat lunch (the most awesome, huge chicken burrito !)
*trying to get in line for autograph and the line gets closed
*Shawna and Patti-rae to the rescue (sneaked me in and told a white lie)
*froze (as usual) when I got up to David – ‘Hi’ and ‘Thank You, David’ (ugghh)
*David sang like he’d never been away – he is so at home on the stage
*yeah, it was worth anything that was uncomfortable!!

I used to have this big mountain of problems. Saturday David took out his eraser and took care of all those pesky things that bothered me. Floating along on that David aura just makes life smooth and joyous. This might be an addiction, I haven’t figured out how it works, but it does. A dose of David is often required. And it can’t be too often.
Thanks to Abrra we have puzzles and new candy in the jar. I see at #8 you captured proof of some girl dancing in my room. Who is this? She did not leave a mess and I have decided visits to the David wall are okay.
Sorry I missed Tawna and Shawna. In all those 20,000 people I only saw four people I knew. Patti, Oddity, Donny and David. I liked the idea that we are all cousins.
Cannot thank Refnaf enough for the ticket. I don’t need to explain to people here how much it meant to me. Nice to have people who realize the importance of David.

Feels sooo good to see him in the closest thing to a concert type performance we have seen yet! Did he look like he had been off the stage for 3 years with the exception of a couple of performances, not through these eyes. He was born to be up there.

A great big thanks to all the fans that took time to take videos and pictures to post for us unfortunate ones that couldn’t see him live and to the mods that made it possible for all of us to see the second best thing!! 🙂 He is absolutely stunning. No wonder he can take our cares away, even if it’s only for a little while! Yes, only his true fans can understand that! I really do think that his Spanish song and video is a work of art and worth some kind of award. It was perfect for Root tech. Brilliant!

Watching the “Roots Tech” videos has made me happier about David than I have been in over three years. What a blessing and a joy he is in my life.

I’m still fascinated by his performance of the Spanish song. I saw a “spark” and that certain smile he has when performing that I haven’t seen in quite a while. Those were evident on all the songs but there is something extra when he sings in Spanish. I first noticed it when he sang Riu Riu Chiu way back when. I find he has a different attitude, moves differently, carries himself differently, even his tone is different when he sings in Spanish, even more so now that he is so comfortable with the language. It’s a level of comfort and confidence he displays, it just seems to come so natural. He said he grew up with Latin music and dance so maybe that’s why it just seems so right and comfortable to him. (More, please.)
The JT song was wonderful. I think he did a great job on it! Those two were my faves but I loved it all. I’m hoping it makes him yearn to get back to touring and performing. heh I had to add that in there, of course. Just a little selfish? Sure, but then I am a fan who wants to see/hear him sing live. 🙂
Oh, and one more thing. (Isn’t there always with me?) His hands. I used to notice how he seemed to not know what to do with his hands sometimes. I didn’t see one moment where that happened in these videos. To me, it seems like another sign of his comfort level on stage. Totally confident and in control, which is amazing considering he’s been away from performing for large crowds for so long.
