I see headphones, a guitar, a drum set and plaid shirts! David’s in the recording studio! Music to our ears! Literally. Stephanie Mabey is with him. That can only mean another glorious song! The excitement is building for what’s to come. And I’m hanging on for the ride!

Well now, this is certainly interesting!
I love Glorious by Stephanie Maybe and I like the song by Foreign Fix. BUT …. you can’t get much different than those two. So how will it mix? It makes me wonder what his “new” sound will be. I wonder if he’s still experimenting or if he knows now what he wants his music to sound like. Or maybe we really are going to get an eclectic mix of songs.
I’m trying to imagine David’s voice on the song by Foreign Fix and I can’t. Can you? But the music behind the lyrics is very interesting, in a good way. Maybe Stephanie for lyrics and Foreign Fix for music? Or maybe Foreign Fix and David for lyrics and music and Stephanie for production? haha Lots of questions there. I am soooo looking forward to hearing his new sound.
But I am giving David props for the pic. He’s mastering the selfie pretty quickly. 😀
And just in case anyone on David’s team is reading this …. A snippet, a scrap, a hint, anything would be greatly appreciated. We are ready!! 😀 😀

I don’t know how they wear it all buttoned up like that. I feel like I can’t breath if I have anything snug around my throat and I’m constantly pulling on it. I don’t even wear turtleneck shirts, not even when it’s below freezing outside.

There was an old cartoon series called The Flintstones. In it, the family drove a car that had wheels but no motor. Instead, they used their own feet for propulsion. Okay, so I know that DA has his own propulsion thing going on and his own car. Yet it has seemed a bit like the fans feet have been huffing and puffing to follow him around in their fan car with his name on it. (When stalled we do pedicures.)
Dear DA: we need a scrap of fuel every now and then. Pics are good. Tweets are nice (don’t stop!). Music? Aw. Now with even a measure or two we can get better milage than Tesla.

I’m going to trust the Archuleta on how his voice will go with the music of Foreign Fix. It’s different and I like some of it and not some of it. But, I do love that smirky smile and his fluffy hair! 🙂
Bluesky, love your little Flintstone story. It’s so true! I know I need some fuel…my tank has been near emty too long!! 🙂 I know, I’m still trying to use that patience thingy! But he’s doing pretty good putting in a little fuel from time to time, so I haven’t went completely emty. Those little teases are working so far. Have to wait to see MTM Thursday now because the playoff games were moved up a day because last night’s game was rained out. Make up game is Wed afternoon when we were going.

Awesome!!!!! Things are happening in the studio! One of those things is that David is letting that top button take a breather 🙂 I’m going to suggest that Foreign Fix is doing the mixing and all the stuff that has to happen to make David’s and Stephanie’s lyrics and music come together and become a most glorious cd. I honestly can’t think that David’s music will be like this (not a real fan of that kind of music). I may be eating those words and learning to like it if David goes there, eh?

I like the quirky sound of Foreign Fix’ song “Chop Chop” but I agree, MT. I can’t imagine how that type of sound will mix with David’s pop songs. We shall soon see.

It’s like waiting for Christmas when I was a little kid. My family didn’t usually get presents except at Christmas and birthdays so it seemed like an eternity from one Christmas to another. Then in December the tree was up and decorated. We knew that Christmas was coming closer. Eventually we would see gifts collect at the bottom of the tree over a period of time. Since they were wrapped we could only guess what was inside. We would examine the size of the box, then lift to see how heavy it was and shake it. Was it a toy or clothes? Our expectation was to get toys until we got older and wanted clothes. It was torture not knowing if you would get what you really wanted and asked for. Sometimes I would get too impatient and open up a present that I knew I could rewrap with out anyone knowing. But, I guess I learned patience and now I know I just want to open one of those presents of David’s. Just a peek! Anticipation is getting to me. I want Christmas with David soon. Very soon!!!!!

Our whole family used to sit and watch the Flintstones when it was a primetime cartoon.
I remember when we were kids,going to shop for a new family car,and upon test driving one, my Dad commented to the salesman,”this thing drives like it has Flintstone tires.” lol (we didn’t buy that model)

Love your story, SuzyQ! We used to feel and shake the packages, but I never opened one up to check it out. Maybe because my mom told me that she opened a package one time and her mom made her open all her gifts and then she didn’t have any to open at Christmas…so I just waited.. 🙂

Finally seen Glorious today! And it was Glorious! Like everyone said, I wish they had played the whole song at the end. It left an unfinished sound in my head, so I came home and played the video on youtube on my tv. I guess every kid has that experience of opening and re wrapping gifts at some point. Personally, I found that the foil paper made the process the easiest. HAHA! My dear mother tried so hard to surprise me with gifts, but I had a knack for “examining” the wrapped gift with my fingers or shaking it and guessing the contents. Several of my gifts came disguised in long cardboard tubes LOL
When I was 13 I decided that was the year I would not touch any gifts until Christmas morning so I could show genuine surprise. In the days before the big day, I was in my mother’s room lying across her bed. I decided to slide off head first to the floor ( I am 13, remember?). On my way down I got a great view of the floor and all the “hidden” gifts she had put underneath her bed. Just as I was about to hit the floor I saw the gift I had wanted most and it was unwrapped! I was getting a 6 ft. Toboggan sled! I was upset that my no peeking plan had been ruined, but so glad I was getting the best sled ever!

I remember it like it was yesterday. She was so sure she had finally kept something secret. I never told her I saw the sled. The other thing was that year we had one of the aluminum fake trees with the 4 color wheel that spins so that the tree changed colors. We were so IN, it was 1963.

Anodlurker, I see that, I wonder how many of those are twitter generated. They love to unfollow people for me. I don’t know the criteria they use for what they do but the momentum he has on facebook and instagram reflect the opposite. The Glorious views are increasing a couple thousand a day and that’s not bad.
I’m trying not to hold my breath and be chill so when the next news comes I hope to be calm…who am I kidding? hahahaha

Exactly my thoughts – and also the source of my confusion: The FB and IG trends are opposite to the Twitter trends — not sure what is causing the Twitter slide when other social media indicators are rising. *scratches head* The way the numbers are now – he’s basically lost the numbers he recovered in the past month. And the thing is, they’ve been stable for so long so I wonder what’s causing the volatility.
Okay, nerd rant over.
Can’t wait for 2015 – but then that comes with the assumption that he will resume a music career in pop, with all gears turning. That’s a huge assumption and I don’t want to disappoint myself. LOL! Ah, to be human.

Thank you for your best wishes tawna! David’s Christmas music helped to make Christmas even more special. I will always remember being in SLC when after one of the MOTAB’s concerts we left a restaurant and walked back to our hotels in the snow. Some had never seen snow before. We walked Angelica close to her hotel and stood under a street light in the snow, watching until she entered her hotel door just down from us. The whole time there was purely magical.

I would love to hear David sing I Wonder as I Wander. I’ve never heard it before, it is a beautiful song. I love to hear David sing anything!!!!
I thought it was magical too when I was there for MOTAB. The group I was with toured the Temple grounds and with all the snow and Christmas lights it was awesome. It was fun standing in line for an hour and a half to get into Deseret book store for his autograph, even tho it was cold and snowy!
What we do for this guy!
By the way, Deseret is having a special. When you buy a MOTAB video or cd (not David’s) you do get a free cd of David’s Christmas album.
Also, I heard on Twitter something about a surprise announcement coming for Friday…?!..

Wasn’t that video David posted of the children singing “Glorious” the cutest thing?!! I knew the song would make it to the schools. It’s inspirational and speaks to everyone at any age. My husband teaches music and said he will try to incorporate it into any program he is a part of. #husbandisanoriginalfan

Loving that 15 second clip, though I get mad every time when it stops just as he gets rolling. It just amazes me how hearing him sing, especially something new, affects me. It’s like feeding a hunger when I didn’t even know I was starving. I’m still here, of course. A hungry person does move too far away from the kitchen. 🙂

Dayzee, congrats on your new great grandson. Today was my youngest great granddaughter’s 1st birthday. Little Lydia Jules. We have a lot of birthdays this month.

Met the new Elder. He is from a town near Gilbert, AZ! So naturally I had to tell him about the “it’s not a David Archuleta concert”! He’s a little guy like David only blonde. He’s brand new and Elder Horne goes home the middle of Nov. Then I will meet the next new one.
