Lots of unexpected activity these past couple of weeks, all things David Archuleta. Here are some stats from social media. I added winners Cook and McCreery, who is also attending college, for comparison.

Considering that Cook was the winner I think David has done more than pretty good without the AI machine.

Scotty has a label and all the backing from the country music community who are very supportive and yet you can see that David is holding his own without much effort on his part.
All this buzz has taken me by surprise and I’m fascinated with all these numbers. I realize it’s not a science but it’s information that the media uses for measuring popularity.
So this got me wondering as to what social media all you commenters and lurkers use in relation to David Archuleta. So, lets take a poll! You can pick one or several.

Oh no, that was the TOSOD wiki page. Each album has one.
So all of the above.
But I don’t use those things strictly for David, tbh. I have friends on Twitter that have nothing to do with him.
Facebook is family and friends. I’ll like his posts if they pop up, but that isn’t why I go there at all.
Youtube is self explanatory. Instagram – I’ve never not liked a picture of his.
Since I’ve been off work for 2 months now, I am online more than ever. Am still friends
with ex-archies, pretend ex-archies and the real thing. ❤

I have to share something with you guys. I posted David’s Glorious MV on my facebook. I posted it in hopes that some people who didn’t really know who he was or had forgotten about him would give it a listen and maybe give him a chance. But I didn’t expect what just happened.
My mom (who BTW voted for David Cook 😦 ) just called me. She said: “I’ve been ironing and playing David’s new song on repeat. I really like his voice. Can you post some more of his music?” LOL Yay, mom!! 😀 So naturally, I did! I shared a few more of his official Music Videos.

Heh, also… he is in Utah. I think it would be pretty hard for him to go anywhere in Utah and not have someone recognize him. I have actually been surprised at how few pics have shown up.
And.. I am hoping that the new clothes mean more than just cold weather. I am hoping that they mean: “I need to look good for performances”.
One can hope.
Dear DA, I notice that your hair grows just as fast as ever. Can I just say that I also am glad that your schedule is so busy that you haven’t been to the barber in the last 48 hours.

Sky, I couldn’t decide if those locks were trimmed or just forced into behaving. I really liked the look at #4, but the sides do look trimmed in the later pictures.. Sigh. I think Abrra has a magnifying glass for checking David pics. Would like to hear her thoughts.

At the premiere for the new film Meet the Mormons that Glorious was recorded for. So AWESOME! I am a Mormon, and if you want to know what Mormons are like this film does a might fine job. Comes out in theaters this Friday October 10! Go check it out!

Thanks for compiling the stats for us. I’m not surprised to see how successful David is without a label nor with AI backing him. I expect him to learn the business side of the music business while he’s in college. And I expect him to one day produce his own music and have his own publishing company.

And technology. There are programs that will do these calculations and pretty them up in a flash! I’m glad you’re all enjoying the stats, it can be boring for most but when simplified I thing they are a work of art. And as you can see David does darn well in the numbers game.
Though it doesn’t reflect all the non social media users, and I know plenty, it does give us an idea of the popularity he has. I think what is most telling are the comments, some can be harsh but all in all many new names, many non religious folk loving Glorious for the inspirational message that can be understood by all.

Wow, last night was like old times. David on the red carpet and everyone wanting a picture! So many incredible pictures. I see in his face that the transition is progressing looking happy and relaxed in preparation for future things to come. 🙂

Everyone wanted to take a picture with David last night! From the all the pics from the premiere, it seems that David was the star of the movie and he wasn’t even in it, physically. #TheVoice

There are over 15,000,000 Mormons in the world with over 6,000,000 in the US alone and Mexico in line with the next biggest amount. I can imagine that the views will steadily rise. I have looked at it several times already. It will be interesting to watch! Then there are David’s fans too!

I think , no I know, that I have missed David’s smile more than anything. I’m talking about that full blown smile,that lights up his whole face and lets his light shine through. We all know he has the most gorgeous smile in the world.
IMO…his smile is as healing, and as beautiful a gift ,as his amazing voice.

Love that David was so popular at the premiere — seems like everyone wanted a photo with him, including the celebs. Glad he got to experience that again – about time he got comfy with all of that stardom because the 2015 album launch, promo and tour is going to be WOW! (I can dream and THAT is a good dream! Haha!)

Get used to it, David — time to feel comfortable with that again because it’s going to get even bigger once the new album drops! Bring on 2015!
Hope the premiere gave him a feel of how it all used to be when he was performing and touring! He’s a star!
Can’t wait to see him on Ellen, Jimmy Fallon (doing musical numbers too!) and the morning shows being his more mature, confident self!

Also agree with Rhiminee’s tumblr insight– that so many people took photos with David and posted it online, but the only photo David posted was the one of him and his mom! Good observation right there!

MarthaPB posted this #TBT video on Twitter of Idol Tour Glendale, David’s first concert. He sings Angels flawlessly. The energetic bounce throughout. The smile at 1:25 and the runs at 3:23 Oh Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah! He does all the vocal gymnastics that makes it his own song. He was one confident 17 yr old 🙂 The quality isn’t that great but the audio is wonderful.

Went to Meet the Mormons this morning. Large crowd for the 11 a.m. showing here in Mormonville. I enjoyed the stories. At the end of the movie David’s voice on the large theater audio system was truly amazing. Because I had seen that video so many times, I was able to see David in all the places he was supposed to be. I was looking for the icon for repeat. Why would they not have that? I was wondering how many times I could sit through the entire movie, just for the delicious ending. Still floating on the clouds from David dust.

Hubby and I just got back from seeing “meet the Mormons” at the theatre. It’s really good (yes I’m Mormon). There is no preaching in it at all. It is simply to show that we are Christians that lead ordinary lives just like other Christians. David’s voice on the big screen reduced me to a puddle. There is no way to describe what his voice is like in Dolby sound coming at you from every nook and cranny in the room. The song is short, but it is not done thru the credits, it’s an actual part of the movie. If you get a chance, go see it.

Saw MTM this afternoon. It was wonderful. The scenery, the stories, everything about it. You’ll leave the theater with a big grin on your face, partly because of the movie and partly because of hearing David. Just not enough of the song to suit me though. Still what there was, was GLORIOUS! Be warned, bring tissues. Some of the stories are very touching, but beautiful.

Let me tell you about the kind of person #DavidArchuleta is. Last night as I was cleaning up and hauling decorations out to my car, @davidarchie noticed the box I was carrying was a bit too heavy for me. He politely offered to help and carried the box for me all the way out to my trunk. He is truly a humble disciple of Christ and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have seen his true character in action. #MeetTheMormons

I have to wait to see it until tomorrow or Tuesday myself. But one of the teenagers in my Sunday School class said that she saw it. She told me: take plenty of Kleenex!! She also said it was a great show. ^_^

Bluesky – I know they showed the video before the premier in Sandy UT, but when I saw it at Tinseltown in Louisville, KY, they didn’t. I was hoping they would. Also, the version in the movie is shortened and you don’t get to hear the bridge where his voice really soars. I was a little disappointed, but happy to hear him anyway. You will definitely enjoy the movie though. The stories are so inspirational and one in particular touched my heart. The one with the Missionary in it. I could just see David’s mother as she was helping him prepare for his mission. Very touching. But, yes, take plenty of tissues. My eyes started “leaking” as soon as the movie came on, and leaked throughout the rest of the movie, sometimes more that others, but it was more because my heart was being touched than from being sad. It will definitely touch your heart in a good way.

Had a nice experience while there at the Theatre. A fellow recognized me from working at the Treatment Center over thirty years ago. He introduced me to his wife and children and works for the City.
It was as though I was meant to be there at that specific time. Love Holy Coincidences.
Then I went to Mass. Quite a Holy Day.

Dayzee, wouldn’t it be nice to see him full screen someday AND singing in a movie. Maybe the next movie the LDS Church makes will have him in it. We can always hope. From the reaction to his video and free download for Glorious, that might give them an indication of what a jewel they have there. He should be out front in anything they do. He’s the perfect representative for them. His character is above reproach, he’s humble, and so talented and dedicated to his church. What more could they want.

These add up to some very good memories and I hope to be able to see you all again and even meet more fans that I have met on here. 🙂 David has the best fans!
Planning on going to see MTM on Wed. Trying to fit it in my schedule along with coming down with some stupid rash on my neck and lower face. And getting the oil changed in the car. The theatre said it will be there thru Thurs., so hoping all will work out.

Yes,I am with all of ya’ll on that! I mean….even when he was far away in Chile, we were able to experience Christmas with David. It just would be so strange NOT to have Christmas and Holiday songs sung by the Archuleta, when he is finally back here in our midst!! Hoping we get to hear him sing from somewhere,anywhere. heck,maybe someone will catch him singing at a Christmas party! 😀 just sayin’…
