SB, I loved the Johnny Mathis review. He was one of my favorites as a pre-teen and early teenager…. then heavy stuff happened. I can definitely see some very striking similarities with David. Thanks. 🙂

Tawna, I always enjoyed Johnny Mathis. So mellow. Yes some singers have many different avenues and face many changes in their lives. Maybe their level of artistry means something that takes them there. Hardly anyone has a smooth easy ride to stardom without twists and turns. I think that David is continuously discovering himself. I just never had that problem. You can see I didn’t have overwhelming talents to deal with.

On a side note, the Elders came by today and one of them got poison ivy when he helped with my yard work last week! I felt so bad for him. That is the reason I can’t do yard work, I get it every time. He will probably be transferred in 2 weeks and the other one gets out in Nov. so he thinks he will stay.

And now it has 77,000 views and is going up by a couple hundred ever 5 or 10 minutes. I have no idea why I like watching the numbers still after all this time. I am always watching his twitter follower numbers that creep downward (not by that much, really) but whenever he is in the public eye in anyway, they creep back up. Something to do as I tap my fingers waiting for music or a little Christmas Tour which he better do.

There is a family reunion going on for me this weekend. Family coming who have never met some of us because she was never told she had these family members. I am hosting the places we go today. As I was driving yesterday to do some preparations, police lights flashed in my mirrors. I thought he wanted by to go to an accident scene but no he wanted me! I rolled down my window and quickly presented the necessary papers. I asked him how fast I was going. He said I am not going to tell you, I just want you to slow down! I looked at him like “who are you really?” Without any religion involved, during this particular day, I would have relaxed a bit more because I was thinking about David and a song of his and no one would have been pulling me over.
Never since Workd War 2, have so many countries becone involved in warfare together. Over 50 countries are pulling together to find us peace that becomes more serious to us with each passing day. Not having a concert to travel to many miles away may keep us much safer. So you see, some things work out quite possibly for the best. Maybe if we look even deeper, when there is calm, it will be time again to get together.

It was glorious!!! I loved the song and the interview. David said he would have his own new music out next year. Glorious will be a single. He recorded it on his mission but then re-recorded it when he got home since the movie was going to be bigger than originally thought. I loved David’s version of the song.

I ended up staying home today and I got to listen to the song. He sounds sooo good! Deeper voice. Loved it! Hope all of you get to hear it.
They played the song and the interview. He said he recorded it in Chile but re-recorded it because in Chile he had a Spanish accent and couldn’t properly pronounce some of the words. He also said he expects to release new music in 2015! (I am not quoting word for word, but that’s the gist of it.)
One thing was said that I didn’t quite catch so maybe someone else caught it. I could swear I heard something about a release to radio? Did I hear that wrong?

This week is just chocked full of David goodies! The teaser on the Redeemer album, then the instagram salute for the new Zelda game, and now Glorious! We are so blessed this week! Wow again! 🙂
On his hair……I’m up in the air about it. It’s ok, it’s different, but it’s combed over to the other side (looks like) and it’s not something I would like to see him wear forever. I like the longer fuller hair better. I don’t like the long, puffed up spikey stuff tho, but a little longer and messier look!

Jans11- I thought he had his hair combed to the other side too, but then I noticed that his sister’s shirt had the printing backwards. For some reason, I think the pictures on the video are flipped. His hair doesn’t bother me that way. It’s getting longer on the top, just a little short on the sides, but that seems to be the style. Of course, my grandsons, his age, are in the military, so their hair is really short.
I really loved the song. I would also love to hear the original recording where he has the Spanish accent. That would be cool.
I haven’t heard when he’s going to release the song. I’m surprised they would put a free copy on line to download if he’s releasing it as a single. How’s he supposed to make a living if they do that.

If you disable your anti-virus you should be able to get the download to start. Find it’s icon on the toolbar on lower right of your screen. Right click and choose disable. After you finish the download, right click the anti-virus icon again and enable.
Sometimes the AV programs “see” things on a web page that they consider “possible” problems and will alert you.

I agree, the way David sang this song, made the song glorious. I love the deeper sound of his speaking voice. It’s very healing. I can hear that David is still on that missionary high. There’s no better feeling than doing the Lord’s work. David will always be a missionary. “It’s what he is”, according to his sister, Claudia. Jans 11 I completely agree with you concerning David’s hair. My 22 year old grandson also has this haircut and I don’t really think does him any justice. Hopefully the fad will fade. JMO
A person doesn’t have to be religious to enjoy “Glorious”. It has a positive message for anyone.

Happy Camper here! I love the song. Catchy. “Each one of us is glorious” somehow reminds me of the stir we went through about him not saying “I am beautiful”–he would only go as far as saying “You are beautiful”. He includes himself in”Everyone plays a piece” & “Each one of us is glorious” this time. Love it. Thanks to David and anyone else who had their hand in bringing this “melody” to us. GLORIOUS!

Happy Birthday to Angelica, a big inspiration in my life. Working with her here on The Voice has been sheer pleasure. I’ve learned so much more from her than about writing, although my skills have definitely sharpened in that area because of her guidance. I also learned about love and challenges and friendship and about sticking it out and hope for the future. When I first met her online several years ago, she was a screen name of someone who wrote beautiful articles about David. Now I consider her a dear friend!

I don’t like the song, especially when sung by Stephanie Mabey. But his voice is GLORIOUS!!!! So I downloaded it and have listened to it multiple times. Only David can make me listen to a song I don’t like! LOL

But I like DA better. More passion. Enya is relaxing and often has some great meanings. No argument.
I like watching the scenes with Enya.
With DA, I am no longer the observer. I become the image, the experience is immediate, crucial, intimate. Enya I can have “with” things. DA is an experience unto himself.

Who talks like that? I haven’t heard anyone use ’tis in my lifetime, and I’m pretty old. He’s so cute and doesn’t even know it. He’s a throwback to another age, and I love it. He should guest star on one of those PBS shows set back in the 1800’s in a large English Manor. I could see him dressed in one of those costumes. He would be gorgeous like that. Also, speaking in that old English. Of course, he’d have to lose the Spanish accent.
