You’ve all heard it – that neeeiiiggh at the end of “Sleigh Ride” on the MKOC tour. What’s up with that, you might ask while obsessively watching videos of the song just so you can hear that again.
Well here’s what’s up! That’s Mr. David Archuleta showing his true self. You see, contrary to a lot of speculation about his alleged angelic origins, DA is actually a horse! Yes, you read right. A horse.
Actually I am one too and so are you if you were born in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990 or 2002. Those are all years of the horse in the Chinese zodiac, a 12-year time cycle that relates each year to an animal and its attributes.
Horse people are said to be free-spirited, charming, cheerful, quick-witted, intelligent, talented, independent, hard working, confident and energetic. Fenfan, I love this! I’m not familiar with this but in finding out I’m a rat. In reading the rat traits and agreeing with at least 80% of them sure is interesting.

I always check out my sign when I’m sitting with one of those paper placemats, but it’s really interesting to see that what they have to say about the metal Rabbit just dang near describes me to a ‘T’. And while it doesn’t list me as compatible with the Horse, I’m not incompatible either. Whew! But my hubby also isn’t either one of those. I’m flailing right beside you, David’s voice is incredible in this new song. I finally got the chance to listen with headphones last night! What an experience! I can turn the volume up the highest it goes (a la surround sound) and it doesn’t bother my ears. I wouldn’t dare try that with any other artist.

Well, for all my good intentions, when I got in NA to tell everyone hello, I got a phone call from a friend of mine. She had some bad news that her son in law had been shot but was ok. It had missed his major organs but something like that always takes a toll on the whole family emotionally, She talked for an hour and a half. Earlier, I had found out a guy from church passed away last night and I’m on the funeral food committee. Guess I’ll make “funeral potatoes”! 🙂 This weekend is also the church’s 52nd anniversary and they’re having a dinner after church. With the funeral Fri and the anniversary Sat. night and Sunday morning, it’s going to be a long weekend. I also have a meeting at church Thursday night. Maybe I should set up a tent in the parking lot to save on gas! haha Hoping to feel a lot better tomorrow to go through all this.
