Dear ArchuFriends,
I would like to ask for help. There is this poll – the EL one – http://www.theentertainmentlifestyle.com/2012/12/vote-now-your-newsmaker-at.html, for the title of Foreign Act Newsmaker of the Year.
Am aware that some of you have helped in putting David in the #1 spot right now. For that I am thankful.
BUT WE NEED MORE. Right now we are a critical level. The 140K lead yesterday is now down to 75K. At the current rate, the next contender will overtake us by less than 8 days. The poll runs until Feb 13.
Personally, I really don’t like long-winded polls like this. And to be honest I think repetitive voting is stupid (excuse my profanity).
THE THING IS: I just can let someone else get that title of PH Foreign Act Newsmaker for 2012 simply because I passionately feel to my gut and my bones that it rightfully belongs to David!
Of all the times, of all the titles and for all the things he did in Manila for 2012, he DESERVES that title. For all the things he did for us while in Manila, there shouldn’t even be a contest.
THE OTHER THING IS: there is a group that is likewise fanatic with their Korean idol.
I know that David does not give a hoot about such things
I know it will not amount to anything.
But it is the principle of the thing…
So if you share with my passion that David deserves the title and can spare 10 minutes daily to actively vote on the poll, we would appreciate it very much if you could join us.
Also, if you could please onpass this message to other sites & other countries, that would be great!

Happy to have the talents of Fenfan here. Grateful to every one of you folks who keep this place such a delight.
February is a great month for David fans because we can display our hearts. Loved the ones at the top and looking forward to seeing more along the way. Funny how every month/season/holiday is colored by David.
It was another good time in Unplugged last night. That Saturday night chat is my mood picker-upper to get me through another week. Thanks to all who show up.
Got my orders in from Wow and Amazon. I like to order from more than one place in case one will be quicker than the other.

I am glad you enjoy Unplugged. It does help to have fan friends to spazz with 🙂 I like to sing in the car but when the devotional songs come on I am not able to learn the words as fast. I asked Gladys to write down the OHN lyrics as sung by David. He changed it a bit from what I had found online, so I needed clarification. Thanks to Gladys for the help. I was asked to share the lyrics she gave to me.

OT, but I finally want to comment on Bebe’s article on Chile from the last thread. I got waylaid by the news of the new album and never recovered my thoughts till now. First, thank you for bringing us into the wonderful world of Chile. I hope David returns as a tourist one day, or on tour! and sees some of the remarkable sights. What a strange and fascinating place! I mean, no wider than 160 miles anywhere and 4,000 miles long! How does one country score that much ocean front property anyway? All the way from the top of South America to Tiera del fuego at the bottom and even claiming parts of Antarctica. That’s just wild. Speaking of wild, here is the national tree of Chile. It’s called the Monkey Puzzle tree because when in 1850, seeds of it were taken and grown in England, someone remarked that, “It would puzzle a monkey to climb it.”
Just thought I’d share this. I’m not interested in where he is or what news is out there about what he’s doing. I’m much more intrigued with the culture and environment he’s absorbing right now. I have become attuned to anything I see on the net that has to do with this amazing country, like the largest pool or the House of Eleven Women. So thanks, Bebe, for keeping us informed and enchanted. I know it’s a lot of work but I am grateful you are so willing to do it.

For those who will help with the EL voting, here are some TIPS FOR EASIER VOTING:
1. Minimize your screen (click “ALT” & “-” keys simultaneously) just so you can see the whole length of the voting area up until the line that says “Return to Poll”
2. Since DA’s name is 1st on the list this makes it easy to click on his box
3. Once done, click on the “Return to Poll” link so you could easily go back to the voting boxes in minimized format.
Minimizing takes out the tedious task of scrolling up and down (why don’t they just take out the other candidates from the list!) and just leaves you with just 3 clicks to sent in a vote.
Sorry, aside from work, am being single-minded right now. Oh the things we do for that dude in Chile!

I was listening to my iTunes on shuffle and something really cool came on. Remember when David A Ribbon in the Sky on a video blog? A fan made a neat recording mix of that song with piano accompaniment. It has been in the Candy Jar and I wanted to bring it to your attention because it is so well done. Angelica, I want one of those trees! They are awesome looking! And, maybe they are something that the deer won’t eat. My yard has become a deer sanctuary this year. They even eat the birdseed that we put out for the tweeties. It’s fun to watch them though.

My favorite Tennis player is now in Chile too 🙂 Nadal after 7 months off because of Injury is now playing for the first time in Chile. Somehow it warms my heart that my Favorite singer and Favorite Tennis Player are in the same country.

Something I have noticed is when some of these same people pose in a picture with David one of them has to put their arm around his shoulder- it’s almost like a discrete HUG. 😉
