David Archuleta Calendar Fundraiser Project to benefit ChildFund International
If you have ordered a calendar between Thursday, June 7 and Friday, June 15th midnight you can be entered into a raffle to win a XL sized Calendar Photo Print of your choice. To be entered, you must e-mail me confirmation of your order number and date purchased at jenleighbarry@gmail.com.. These calendars are my way of saying thank you to David for always being an inspiration to me and to all of his fans by encouraging us all to follow our dreams, which he has shown can be challenging and scary but it is exactly those challenges that make it worth achieving. It is also David’s wish that by helping ChildFund (http://www.childfund.org/) we can help these children follow their dreams.

What makes this calendar special is that passages used are from David fans and David’s family. I asked them if they could provide passages that made them think of David. I felt this would truly make this calendar memorable, special and personal and a way to show our appreciation to David as he is away on his mission.

What makes this calendar unique is ChildFund International provided me with phrases to use in the calendar and a very special fan provided me with a poem she created about David and there are also phrases David had shared with us on twitter that were significant to him. I tried to make each calendar something that would be special to each of us and the photos can be looked on for many years to come even when the year is over.
This was a very fun and educational project and probably the most memorable. I thought these calendars were a great way to show my appreciation and respect for David’s choice to leave the comforts of what he knows behind to help and serve those who are truly in need of someone like him in their lives.
I am so honored and blessed to be a fan of David because even though he is gone he is still finding ways to stay in our lives because he left us with someone who is keeping the flame lit Kari! Thank you Kari for being the angel you are. We love you. THANK YOU ALL for helping to raise money and awareness to a very special organization to David Archuleta!

Calendar size and cost:
8.5 x 11 = $23.28 plus $5 s/h (US Residents)
11×14 XL = $33.28 plus $5 s/h (to select this size use pull-down menu)

You can order any number of the SAME calendar together and if they’re going to the same ship to address, the cost is a flat-fee of $5 for all projects. The website, unfortunately, does not allow you to combine the different calendars together in the same shipment.

djafan, got my calendar Friday and I love it. I got the Be Inspired one. Jen did a fabulous job. When I had to take my David calendar down from last year and didn’t have another one to put up I was kind of sad, especially knowing he would be gone for awhile. I was so excited when I learned Jen was doing one even if it would be later in the year before getting it. Thank you Jennifer for making it possible for my office wall to be complete again with David’s presence. 🙂 All is right with my world!

Hope everyone had a nice Father’s Day. I hope we hear from DA in a tweet this week. It’s been so nice getting those little messages from him. Maybe some song snippets from BEGIN. soon would be great…are you lurking Kurt Bestor? Can’t complain though, we have been truly blessed with goodies since David left and Sunday we will be getting a new music video for ING. Yea!

I got the DavidArchuleta1 Version and love it!! The pictures bring back great memories of the MKOC Tour. The quotes are also great and add a personal touch with great meaning!! ChildFund is a Great cause. David would be proud as are his family, friends and fans. Will enjoy right away as we Count the Days of Service.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments. This was the best project I have done. It took a long time to create everything and come up an idea. Also, this was my first big attempt in using Photoshop so I am so happy you all like the creations I came up with.
If the links did not work earlier it is because the calendar was down since yesterday but after speaking with the this morning, it is back up and running.

Also, the photo that is posted above is one of my favorites. One because it was one of my first truly successful sunset photos and two because of the phrase from David’s grandpa is an original he came up with to describe who David is to him which makes this photo that much more special. The english translation can be found on the David Archuleta 1 calendar and the spanish version is on the Be Inspired to Believe calendar!!

Jen, the Calendar is awesome, you can tell a lot of hard work was put into it. I think I’m just going to keep it as a memento by writing daily important posts, tweets or messages that comes our way from David or Kari, so I kinda have a history of anything David recorded while he is gone on his mission.
Abrra, I love the shirt and the little goodies! I definitely will wear the shirt for my first-ever David Archuleta concert when he comes back. :-))
Djafan, are you going to the fan get-together On June 30th at Universal Studios? If so, please let me know. I would really like to meet you. Angelica said you live in SoCal. Where in SoCal?

I am so glad you got your shirt! I know it warms the hearts of those who donated. I collected so many VIP goodies. I knew that I would find fans who would appreciate getting something that they had missed out on so long ago. Another treat is Abrra’s Candy Jar on the left sidebar. I have put a ton of mp3 and some video files of David’s live performances that can be put on an iPod or just downloaded to your computer to enjoy. Help yourself 😉

Thank you all very much. When I was creating and re-creating all the photo compositions to be used in the calendar, I kept wondering how they would be received by everyone. I re-created many and then would get a different idea and re-do them again but I am happy with the photos that made the “cut”. There were a few I wanted to include but feel the ones chosen were the best for the project.
Yes, it took awhile as I am a beginner when it comes to Photoshop so it took me awhile and man, David’s hair is so not easy to work with…that took the longest. On one photo that is not in the calendar, I gave him a bowl cut…lol But I know photoshop more now then I did at the beginning. What is funny is I was only going to do a composite for just the cover…15 photo composites later…haha
All of your feedback is so great as it helps to validate my vision I had for this project :).
I am sending some calendars to some very important people that helped David on his Nandito project. I hope they like them!!

Hi everyone,
I have a lot going on in my life right now, but always find time to listen to “Tell Me”. I just listened on youtube and just loved this comment by MrSpice5;

So while I fly off to visit my daughter tomorrow, we are moving 🙂 Had the flight reservations, had the big fall, have the movers,,,, So,,, off I go. When I get back home it will be a different home. Intersting concept. Shall I give my husband “heck” if he puts the furniture in the wrong spots??? 🙂
