Jason Mraz, one of David’s deservedly fave artists, just released a new single and video. Too new to ever fly under the radar of YouTube for use in a fan video (I’m still working on that idea) but lyrically a perfect tribute as it is. I love the song and the images of letters goes well with this recent news from Kariontour on twitter. Enjoy!

Abrra…I have a question that you may be able to answer. I’ve had David’s vlog — audio (from the candy jar) on my ipod for a year or so. Only the first 30 seconds plays however. I noticed that if I play it on my computer or on my itunes site , the entire 7 plus minutes plays. Can’t figure out what the problem is. I even redownloaded it and put it back on my ipod, but it still does the same thing. Any ideas?

I don’t know any reason why it would stop short on your device. Perhaps it got corrupted somewhere in the transfer to the device? If you can post a link to the video blog, I will make a new mp3 for you. I’d like to know what file it was from the Candy Jar so that I can check it out.

Loved this song. I think David will be shocked to see how many of us won’t give up on him. How could we, when he is the embodiment of all things good in this world. I can’t think of anyone with more talent, humility, compassion, selflessness, and not to even mention how beautiful he is on the outside. Even if he looked like a troll, all of the rest is worth waiting for. I can only imagine how much more amazing he will be when he returns. It may take us 2 years to prepare for the changes that will take place. I can hardly wait.

How weird you posted a Jason Mraz song…..I’ve been thinking about how he’s been out of the spotlight for a couple of years (2 years since I’m Yours) and read he’s been working on another album for quite sometime that might be out in early 2012. That’s 3 years! (except for an Live recording EP) We really got spoiled with the amount of music David put out in a short time!
I love this song…perfect lyrics for our little world!!

I turned a deaf ear to my children on occasion when they reminded me that there are other singers out there to listen to.
Jason Mraz would have been among those I would have spent more time listening to and now I will do just that. I believe that my children were correct and one needs a balanced life even in music. Well I would have it another way though…
I was just reading Wikipedia about Jason Mraz and he has a full life, with a healthy lifestyle eating mostly raw vegan foods and even owns an “Avocado” farm. He is a great humanitarian that has not gone unnoticed as we can see by the list of awards in his name accomplished while setting out to protect the earth. Is there anything more that we need? Well…;)
I found this most interesting…”The rhythm of the heartbeat takes precedence on the record” on which “I Won’t Give Up” is the newly released single.

This is a nice song by Jason Mraz. The tone and mood are somewhat similar to WAIT. Its interesting to note that Jason has not released anything for several years and now he releases this single and I wouldn’t be surprised if it shot up the charts. Its frustrating in that although his song is good, imo it pales in comparison to David’s WAIT. Its all about the promo I guess. JMHO. Have a good day.

“Wait” is an Asian video and they are known to be different in their interpretations. “I Won’t Give Up” is a little less tragic, a little less mystical and more common place although it is far from a common song but one that has been chosen to be released first off on itunes before the album is released.
Thanks to all of the other great singers for your wonderful songs as you are already being more noticed in our music world…Where have you been keeping yourselves??

I share your opinion. I read the lyrics posted by Bebe first. Then took a listen to Mraz and it was pleasant enough but wasn’t able to listen to the entire song. What can I say. I went back and read the lyrics again and they’re beautiful the voice just doesn’t connect.
Angelica’s analysis of Wait, David’s message for us to “Wait” is exactly what I plan to do. I’ll do my best to keep his name out there. With a full time job and huge family I don’t have time or desire to start listening to other artists. I have been listening to David sing and talk, I can do that until he comes back 🙂 I guess I will remain unbalanced lol.

#27 Woot Woot! This is great news! David has an acting job! A serious acting job, rather than for a kid’s TV show. I just wish it aired in the US but I’ll be satisfied with the youtube clips.
I just played the song again. I still like it. It makes me feel good. But nobody’s voice does it for me like that of The Voice.

So this must be what the acting lessons are about. I say yay! I went to his Anaheim Grove show. At the VIP I told David if he were going to be in a movie or on television we would support whatever he did. Actually speaking to David caused me to go into a time warp or a parallel universe. I thought at the end of my little speech he was looking at me like I came from Mars. Maybe it was just me. David does that.

I will admit that having a sibling take control of David’s twitter account does not sit well with me. As we know, much damage can be done by “playing around” with his career on twitter. How sad it would be if he had to close it due to some “hacker” tweets showing up while he is on his mission. I do not find it funny.

Also, a belated thank you to all the administrators on this site for keeping it open during David’s mission trip. After his announcement at the SLC concert, I came onto The Voice the next morning looking for solace. When the site opened, all that appeared was a solid blue background with the burning candle and sidebar pictures. I panicked thinking that everyone was gone and the site had gone into a holding pattern. After sitting in shock for a minute, I refreshed the page, and there you all were! It was such a wonderful relief.

Emmegirl, will that’s the thing, I’ve always been considered the balanced one up until about 3 years ago, not anymore haha.
SB, #40 I definitely believe. David loves messages and in hindsight I think he’s been giving us hints, clues, messages all along. I have screen capped every time David says wait don’t go and he is not looking at the camera he is looking through the camera right at anyone who’s watching. I posted one screen cap here’s another.

One of my sons works out and trains others at one of the rock climbing gyms (the son with the hair and the hat Angelica) and DA was there with his brother and my son said it looked like they might have been a little new at it. He was not going to say anything to him. After a while however, when my son turned around he and DA practically walked into each other. So he just told him he had heard about his mission and congratulated him. DA said thanks. It was very casual.
I guess I feel sort of protective.

My two college age daughters, when talking about the boys that really appeal to them, they refer to them as “sparkly” boys. When I asked them what that meant, they said it was hard to explain, but that there is just this light about them and this sparkle in their eyes. May I submit to the jury #53!
