I was just in the car listening to the mp3.Pure joy.
I spoke to Betsy earlier she said David sings it in appreciation for his fans. I really think our fandom is a 2 way personal journey. He lifts us up and we, in turn, carry him along with us. I can’t explain it any other way. We need him as much as he needs us.

Hello all, the concert is over. Everybody must in an archustupor I know I am. Go through all these videos trying to absorb it all. I know everyone I’ve spoken say that not a single video do him justice. So if these videos have brought me to tears, what are the live performances going to do to me? I’m just so proud of what David has done and is doing. Now we wait to see what the night brings 🙂

There is a camaraderie amongst the fans growing by leaps and bounds as the tours go by.
Once again we met friends this morning at breakfast and saw them off until we meet again.
But it is funny (not funny actually) that we as in SF and myself are the last to leave, the last to close the door and wave good bye to everyone.
Some of us met last evening at a restaurant that overlooked the backstage door where fans were gathering, where the little ones were waiting for an autograph.
And the older ones who have been around for years,..haha…waited to thank him for these wonderful, inspirational and heart warming evenings in the concert halls.
You remember the pictures perhaps of David in an Asia airport? Well that is how it was and it was great to see. His security saw him right to the bus door.
After the pizzas were delivered to the bus and everyone was on board, David turned and waved as fans called out good bye. I loved it, the perfect send off to a wonderful four days.
He told us that the tour was put together to thank his fans for their continued support and he repeated that a few times over.
All four concerts were magnificent, but there was a certain magic in the air in Verona that I am taking away as my favorite memory…

Just got home. I held in the tears till now. (mostly till now)
This was the best weekend, best concert of my life. I sat in front of David at the vip and he sang Good Place/Let it Be 3 feet in front of me. My favorite song ever.

Thank you for checking in with us when you can. You have no idea how much it is appreciated! We’re starved for details from the shows and you’re doing a great job satisfying our appetites.
It makes me feel good to read that David’s sendoff back to the buses reminded you of pictures taken at the Asian airports where the fans showed so much love and respect plus security was close by.
At the Westbury VIP I also heard David say that this tour was for us, all of his fans, for sticking by him all this time. (As if we would go anywhere else?) He’s so grateful for our loyalty, so humble regarding his success.
The videos don’t do justice to a live performance of The Voice. I was at Westbury. I can see it. But we are all watching with admiration and anticipation of what he has in store for us, up his sleeves.
Safe travels to SandyBeaches, SilverFox and to all our fan friends traveling home today.

Betsy, When I first purchased The Other Side Of Down my granddaughter, 13 at the time, said let me listen first and I’ll tell you which ones your going to like the best. She picked TOSOD, Look Around, Who I Am and when she got to Good Place she told me this one is it, it is going to make you cry. She was so right. So needless to say when I saw the video of the VIP I fell apart. The last line is just to much. (((hugs)))

On the night of May 21, 2008, America was perched on the edge of its seat as it waited for the next American Idol to be announced. Would it be the hard-rocking David Cook or the 16-year-old crooner David Archuleta? Most predicted Archuleta would triumph, so Ryan Seacrest reading out Cook’s name came as something of a shock. But far from being disappointed, Archuleta was thrilled just to be in the finale in the first place.
“I like … experiences that exceed my expectations or other people’s expectations. One of them was being at the finale of American Idol,” says the soft-spoken pop singer. “I did not expect myself to be there and so to actually be there, live that moment and take it all in, I realised all the work that I did that brought me there.”
Although he came in second, Archuleta’s likeability and humbleness, not to mention the musical talent displayed on the show, have led to a promising music career and won him a legion of die-hard fans.
Fast-forward three years and three albums, the now 20-year-old shows none of the negative effects of being in the music industry and still retains his down-to-earth, boy-next-door charm. At times during his interview with Young Post, his attitude showed he’s still accepting his own celebrity.
“I appreciate my fans so much. It means so much to me, all that they do. It’s so hard for me to understand how they are so passionate. I wonder, ‘What did I do that made them … so supportive?’ I certainly never thought, ‘What can I do to get people to become passionate fans?'” he says. “I just went about doing what I did. It makes me in awe just to think they would be so supportive, that they would follow what I do, they would listen to what I do, and be interested in the work that I do. I feel very blessed to have the group of fans that I have.”
While Archuleta remains the same lovable and honest person from Murray, Utah, his music has matured. He shows a darker side on his newest single, Wait, included on the Asian Tour Edition of his third album The Other Side of Down.
“Wait is a little different than the stuff that I’ve released lately. The last album that I did, it was more about trying to be positive and dorky. With Wait, it was more of an emotional song, a sadder song,” he explains. “It’s … almost like a dream. You imagine you see someone that’s no longer there, someone who left you. You want to keep them there but you realise they’re not there and they’re gone. It’s that sense of when you lose someone.”
If there’s anyone that knows how to deal with a loss the right way, it’s Archuleta.

Just as David feels he was given his beautiful voice for a reason, so maybe there is also a reason we are here and were given a passion for his voice.
We are the ones who realize “who David is” and believe in “who he will be” and we are here to support him and hold him up, help him to continue, while his star slowly rises, so that he has no need to compromise while he works to get to that place where we know he belongs.
Maybe that’s the “why” of why we are here.

I have been dragging around two posters from the VIP now for days or so it seems. They won’t fit into anything because they are too long for everything…but I wouldn’t leave them behind despite my complaining. I am still at the airport in Newark for a few more hours it appears and the posters have a seat next to me! If anyone on the site would like one then I will mail the one and only one out to you. Oh and it was autographed right there at the VIP! Please let Djafan know if you wish it, she loves emails!!
Djafan…I found bracelets I didn’t realize that I still had so I can send them out to you for the east coast concert goers! Still recovering from last night’s concert in Stroudsburg which was SERIOUSLY AWESOME!!
I’ve been out of the fansite loop for some time, but David and his dear devotees are never far from my thoughts. So it was a real treat to attend the My Kind of Christmas concert and to spend some time before, during and afterwards with the Voice and Snow Angelzz attendees (waves to Archiesfan4life, Angelica, Silverfox, Tofan, Ref, Kizzi, Sandy Beaches, Marsha and that beautiful young Canadian gal who’s family hails from Korea – sorry I forgot your name!) When AF4L comes back down to earth, I’m sure you’ll be hearing about her close encounter with DA. Be prepared to be gobsmacked!!
Can’t pick out my favorite number, they were all that superb. How is is possible, but I do believe that David’s voice and delivery keep getting better and better. His lower register seems richer and stronger, and those glory notes…well, they’ve always blown me away, but last night they soared to heavenly heights! His voice transports you to a world of peace and happiness. God bless this kid.
Love, love, love the band! Loved David’s banter with the band. Loved David’s banter with himself, lol. Loved the shy but endearing way he interacts with the crowd, having grown in comfort, confidence and spontaneity. Loved the surprises of youngsters joining David on stage, and Drummer David delivering an impressive beat!! Loved David’s efforts to remind us again and again of the beauty and true meaning of the holiday season and the need to reach out to those less fortunate.
And, as always, love the way David interprets and caresses each note, the sheer joy and passion he exudes with every delivery, touching our hearts and souls. He truly is a conduit of the spirit!
One more comment. After David’s performance of one of my all time favorites, Zero Gravity, with the crowd near frenzied hysteria, I’m wondering…isn’t there some way to convince him to officially record this bona fide gem on his next pop album?

Zero gravity is on the TOSOD Asian Edition. It’s one of the 5 bonus songs for that release. Its a big hit!
I have been in my tinkering shop again. Here is the link to a few iPhone ringtones I made from Live performances.
After you download the file:
Connect your phone to your pc
Launch iTunes
Click Ringtone from the upper left menu
Drag and drop the file (m4r format) to the grid
Click the Device icon for your phone on left side
Click Tones tab (right panel) and check the box next to the new ringtone to add it
Sync your phone
(save these inst. for the next time)
To find it on your phone. Go to Settings. Then Sounds. Then Ringtone and it will be in your menu. Select the ringtone you want, then hit the home button at the bottom to close it up.

Betsey #31: What is it with the tears? I was fine till I got home. Now, every time I watch a video I tear up. He just has touched us all so with these performances. I’m still in a stupor, and like SF has mentioned, a little down knowing I won’t see him for a while, and who knows how long?

Dja, That’s a great interview. I thought it nice that they admitted that they were so surprised he had so many fans. I hope a lot of radio stsations begin to realize that and play his music more. And I love that they had him laughing. His laugh is contageous.

When I first bought my tickets for the Stroudsburg concert, I couldn’t believe it was only going to be a few short weeks before I would witness the VOICE in all his gloriousness! I was obviously very bummed when the realization of that happening went flying-out-the-window lol!
It’s difficult for me to put into words how much I appreciate all of you who have shared your videos, pictures, and re-caps. Getting caught-up on viewing, listening and squeeing out loud has been so much fun! Thank you. Two words that mean so very much.
