Halloween ll ~ The Sequel

Yes, I know it’s kind of similar to Happy Halloween, but this one has scenes from the 2010 vlog/slasher film,”Happy Halloween!” starring David Archuleta in which Jazzy gets violent with the pumpkin. Love that. OK, the truth is I spent too much time on that dang Smilebox to move on just yet. Besides, The Voice is so bright and orangey, one of David’s favorite colors!
David Makes Us Scream?
Invited to a party
On the night of Halloween
Wondered just what tricks they had
In store to make us scream. But when I opened up the door
I found a nice surprise
A David theme was going on
Much to my delight. But I couldn’t figure out just how
He’d blend with Halloween
David is far from scary
Though he often makes us scream. And then to my surprise I heard
Coming from speakers above
A howling sound that filled the air
In a voice I really love.‘Twas David’s voice heard echoing
Amid the ghoulish sights
No costume did he need for this
Among these spooky lights. For someone made an mp3
So much to my delight
David’s voice and Halloween
Are paired for us this night.

MT, Loved the poem also. I agree with you; David does often make us scream!
On the subject of Halloween, sort of, I saw David Cook perform for the first time here in Austin last night. Loud, but pretty good. Definitely rocked the venue. The best part though was that he and his entire band were dressed as Zombies. I’ll have some pics of the concert and my review up on my blog sometime tonight. Got to wait for my husband to post since he’s the photog and has to put the best on the wireservice (Retna) he shoots for. I’ll let you know when it’s up.

You just have to spend 5 minutes with Funny Girl to really know her humor. I don’t believe that I have laughed so hard in years as I did last December when she arrived in SLC for the final concert. It was late and we were trying to get something to eat in a hotel lobby while they tried to pretend that we were not there I think. Well, in she came to stay with Marciami who had been going with me throughout the day to get her ticket picked up. One is always nervous until the ticket to see David is actually in your hands.
We were worn out from that evening’s concert and all the amazing singing by David that leaves you tired and very hungry. We eat little until the concert is over because we are just too excited I guess. Age has no barriers for that kind of excitement. I can’t describe her humor but it is non stop.
Well you brought tears to my eyes FG right where you said you had to stop talking because he was …humming…All of us. each and every one of us is held in a quiet holding pattern when he hums. Don’t forget to notice that he has a little hum in Silent Night…I thought that you were really there to only sell your purses but there is always more to you.
You lighten my day FG right along with the lovely Video/slidedshow and article. I am startled at the similarities of what we might have in our bags these days.
See you in NY.

Thought I’d stick my head in here because I’ve been MIA for the last few days. But before I go further, I want to express my condolences to Hooked and her family, including Silverfox. May the love of good friends and family help you through this difficult time.
I was one of 82,000 customers in the Connecticut area affected by the weird snowstorm this weekend. We lost power on Saturday afternoon and didn’t get it back until recently. I will never again take running water for granted. It was freeeeezing and we had no heat, lights, computer, phone, TV and that’s hard enough to do without but running water is needed for so many things! We were lucky to get a room at a local hotel because they were booked solid for the week. Oh it’s so good to be home!
MT, You sure have a way with words. I enjoyed your Halloween poem. And Angelica, your Smilebox was a thrill, pun intended. LOL You are so good to us! It’s evident that you spent so much time and care on the slideshow.

MT, the poem is a howl and goes with the howl video by Abrra nicely. I admit to being a bit of a screamer myself at a David concert. Why I have no idea but it just feels so good. lol! Except when he’s humming as FG said, or singing ballads. Some things just DEMAND respect. Glad you guys got a smile from the smilebox card. 🙂
FG, your video is a howl too. Love your love for purses and David. And you even use action figures to combine the two. Sweeeet! LOL! You got me all excited just thinking about going to New York and again sharing a hotel room with you and Marciami! (bringing my earplugs this time 😉 ) Can’t wait to count down the days till November 30 and tomorrow is November 1! Woo hoo!!!! Let the countdown begin!!

Make a Difference
David Archuleta will “Make a Difference” for children battling cancer, as he joins fellow FOX’s American Idol alumni David Cook and Constantine Maroulis for a star-studded concert at Ronald McDonald House® New York on Tuesday, November 8th.
Now in its third year, “Make a Difference” evening at Ronald McDonald House® New York, raises funds in support of children with cancer and their families.
The evening will also honor retail veteran Tom Murry, president and CEO of Calvin Klein.
Ronald McDonald House® New York is a “home away from home” that offers children with cancer and their families shelter and support while undergoing active treatment. It is the largest Ronald McDonald House with 84 rooms, and more than 25,000 children have stayed at the facility since it opened its doors on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Make a difference, too! Please, visit http://www.rmh-newyork.org for more information.
Nice to see that David will spend some time with Cook 🙂 November is a busy month, eh David?

These things I love:
It’s a Ronald McDonald charity event. <33333
David's name is listed first.
The tickets are exorbitant (so my reasoning is, important (maybe industry) people will go. It's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it, lol)
It's a Calvin Klein event, so maybe David will wear CK.
There is a meet and greet.
There will be Cocktails & hors d’oeuvres.
David has got more going on in his future than I can keep track of. 🙂

David said good morning, he has interviews today, Steven says it’s performance day, LDS article parts was posted on twitter, David is going on a mission, David is not going on a mission, video interview he said new releases, projects, albums, David’s music is his mission, some are quitting David, others are not, David is shooting music video, not going to leave music, David is performing for charity with Cook, now David is probably not going on a mission.

David did say at the end of the article, “Some of my decisions–both personal and professional–will be surprising to people in the future. I hope people understand that whatever I do I’m just trying to do what Heavenly Father has asked me to do.”
So, rather that do a lot of speculating, I personally, will just wait and see where David’s faith and trust in the Lord takes him. I will support his decisions, whatever they may be. David is a shining light and an example of faith, hope and charity, that I will ever be thankful for in my life.

Tawna,
My 2 cents…David said that on an LDS magazine interview and that statement was probably intended for the LDS community. What David probably didn’t expect was that all of us non LDS fans were going to buy the magazine in droves lol I’ve seen it being ordered from all over the world. And now we have all kinds of interpretations. This is all just my opinion 🙂
I love the interview. David so in charge, calm, confident, just love it.

I’m just saying that until he were to come right out and state publicly that he is going to serve a formal, full-time mission, I’m on his concert tour, charity event, music video making, crossing state lines, and foreign country borders, yellow brick road with him. I agree with you, Djafan. That last statement seems to be directed to the LDS community, the readers of the magazine.
“Some of my decisions–both personal and professional–will be surprising to people in the future. I hope people understand that whatever I do I’m just trying to do what Heavenly Father has asked me to do.”
Knowing and understanding David the way we have for the last three plus years, I don’t think he’s leaving music to go on a mission. I believe that he believes that his music and the good it brings people is his mission. But this is JMO of course.
