Actually more than just 50 haha
David is at Disney World in Orlando this weekend for the 2011 celebration of The Children’s Miracle Network, a charity that raises funds for children‘s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada. The celebration honors the champions, one child from each state, representing all of the children who benefit from CMN’s efforts.

Each of these children has been treated for a serious illness at a CMN hospital. This weekend’s celebration affords them the opportunity to catch up with some very special Disney characters and to visit the attractions at Disney World. They will be honored tonight at an awards ceremony and treated to a performance by David, with background vocals by Sunny Hilden, one of David’s songwriting collaborators.

Of late my ODD has reached a fever pitch. I am so excited and anxious for the December onslaught of mania triggers that everyone around me seems to be wary of my sanity. Even our good friend SandyBeaches had to gently remind me that there is a whole month of November before December arrives. Thank you SB. I need tethering.
Glad to hear David is looking fit. He just wanders around wreaking havoc among his dazed followers while looking fit. And gorgeous.

Please find a cure for the archuaddict. I need a cure asap and don’t want to have this ODD anymore. It is driving me crazy. The first thing in the morning is to turn on the laptop and check all around for David stuff-and it is the last thing I do at night. And of course, all through the day. I can’t go to a store without thinking about David, and looking around for something to buy him-and getting it even when I don’t know when I will see him. I have lost control. I wake up with songs in my head, or they pop in during the day, which interferes with my ability to think and put words together. I cry over David with worry and stress and then get sick. I also cry over David with happiness and joy. I try to be strong but he creeps right back into my heart. My memory is crappier every day but I can remember ittsy-bitsy little things about David with a flicker of the eye. Everyday I repeatedly go to twitter to see if he has tweeted and so I don’t get much done. And these darn concerts coming up. I am thinking about them 24/7 and spending more money than any rational person. I can’t wait to see him but I don’t want it to ever end. I have learned what withdrawal feels like and David withdrawal is like no other. What is wrong with me? Is it like a moth to light that someone wrote about? Normal people don’t do the things I’ve done. I would never reveal any of it for fear of what people would think of me. And I keep secrets about David because of “that look” I get. Who am I? When I look at him I get weird feelings, and when I listen to him sing I get other feelings. My body and mind have betrayed me. When will this end? Will this last for the rest of my life? What can I do to undue what has happened to me. I have changed and am no longer the person I was. Is this good or bad? Please help me Dr. Angelica. Is there a cure? Or will I go through the rest of my life changed and obsessed with David every day and in every fiber of my being. Maybe I should just resign myself to a life with ODD. What a way to go:)))))))))))))))))))))

hello everyone. I haven’t posted her too much but come often to admire the lovely pictures and always enjoy reading the posts. I had to mention that Marciami has nailed the disease with which we are all inflicted to a tee! I have followed David since the AI days and I have ODD bad. I’ve tired to wean myself away from him by not listening to his music or stalking the sites and u-tube but it hasn’t worked so I gave up and am just enjoying myself. who cares if it makes me happy. I am going to three of this concerts in December including one VIP in Anaheim. These concerts are my birthday and holiday gifts to myself. I told my family not to get me anything since I’ve got all the presents I will need with attending these concerts.
David looks so handsome at the CMN event, very fit and happy. Does anyone know if his band went? Lupe of course looks so young and gorgeous. We all know where he gets his good looks don’t we? Anyway have a good night everyone.

Here is the video of David’s performance today singing Dream Sky HIgh. Meredith Vieira gave his a wonderful intro and he spoke so eloquently at the beginning. So hard to believe that only three years ago he could barely get out a sentence without giggling. So proud of you David. His performance was magnificent as usual. He looked gorgeous too. Enjoy

Kaycee~ the first time I heard David sing this song was from when he was much younger. I didn’t care for it either. The next time I heard him sing it was at the Mentor’s dinner. He sang it with such conviction! Such passion! It felt as though he was singing from his very soul. Tonight’s performance was also very passionate & moving. I love my ODD & I don’t ever want to get over it.

Does it ever feel like someone is writing your very same thoughts? Marcia, you expressed my feelings exactly! One thing I’d add about my ODD…..our trips to UT to see our kinders are determined by David’s concerts in SLC! You can imagine the reactions I get from friends, who can’t understand this at all. Our son can’t understand his mom either…when I called to ask if we could come for Christmas, he said, ‘oh no, David must be doing a concert’! Well, he’d better be nice, as I’ve got VIP tickets for his 2 oldest gals!!
*****David last night…….just “WOW”! Unbelievably heartfelt, in words & voice!! He was the perfect performer to touch the hearts of those precious CMN kids!

As a professional that works with families of children with disabilities, I think this was a perfect song and a perfect performance. So much focus is on the problems of a child, that parents and the child can forget it is only a part of who they are. David’s message and performance must have touched them profoundly. His belief in them is palpable. Thank you David. You are using your Gift for Good.

Bebe, thank you for the great post, love all the new pictures, love this kind of event and David was out of this world, this was the most heartfelt and most beautiful rendition of a song (any song)I’ve ever heard and only David Archuleta can do it. He may be at par (?) in the vocal power department with the most powerful singer out there but this “dream sky high” performance prove that his passion, emotion, interpretation, heart and soul are unmatchable.

Dream Sky High impressed me the first time I heard it. It seemed to cover all the bases of optimism. I was amazed to hear him sing it at the Mentors program, but this rendition is stunning. It’s like he’s signing us up for a commitment. How could we possibly watch him sing that song and be depressed?

I’ve never been a big fan of Dream Sky High, but last night’s performance changed my mind about it. This may be one of David’s top performances, ever. At least in the top 10. His voice is fully recovered from the Japan trip. Absolutely amazing. And the low register on Lean on Me – Gah! His range just keeps increasing.

🙂 I’m a Riley kid. I was born a month early with my umbilical cord around my neck 3 times. This happened a lot now I know, but apparently mine was making me suffocate. The nurses made sure after I road in the ambulance to Riley that I was taken care of.
If I had been born on my due date, I would have been a still born.
I am now a college student getting ready to turn 21 soon. 🙂
God saved my life,Riley saved my life,& music has saved my life.
In a way,so has David. 🙂

Well, I just had the time to finally watch David perform. He was wonderful as usual. So many famous people including those who introduce him, know how great he is as we can see. He really knows how to pick them and deliver them! David chose two very compassionate songs to sing to the champion kids. And he sang them with so much compassion I had goosebumps and chills at the same time. We’ve said he’s the master at interpreting songs. Last night’s performances are proof that his vocal abilities are OUTSTANDING! Seems the older he gets, the more feeling he puts into songs. We are in Trouble! haha
