All of you were so generous with your gifts and donations of money for the Arizona event, we had money left over. Thank you so MUCH!!! Here is the link to teamMarius.org. I encourage you to go there and read about this truly remarkable young man who has endured so much, with a strength of spirit beyond my capacity to even comprehend. Here is the letter I will send with the money order today.
We really are so blessed, not only to be a David fan, but for all that we have.

Marius has an inner light that shines, much like the the glow we see in David. Something greater than both of them brought them together in LA. We will never know the conversation that took place, but I know that both David and Marius were left richer in their belief in the human race. Reading his story humbles me and reminds me about what is important in life.

Was busy with family yesterday. For the next ten days is a holiday that we celebrate, Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of a new year for those of the Jewish faith. So, Happy Rosh Hashanah to anyone here who celebrates! I cooked and cooked and ate and ate. haha It’s good to spend quality holiday time with family and friends.
I nearly cried when I saw this post about Marius. I knew it was coming but seeing it in print and all…David will be so happy that his fans donated any funds that were left from AZ to this good cause.
Great to see some new shows added to the “My Kind of Christmas” Tour but was shocked that there are still none for the midwest and the south! Don’t give up. It still says on the bottom of the list “More dates to be announced”.
I guess it should come as no surprise that the Westbury VIP is already SOLD OUT, but so fast! “Dec 1 (THU), 8pm: Theatre at Westbury, Westbury, NY, regular tickets on sale Sep 30 / VIP sold out”.

Got my tickets! 🙂 FYI you can only get 4 pkgs at one time. I had to do mine in a groups of 3 and 2. Then I had to use 2 different cards cause my card didn’t like that much activity on it at once. Whew! I’m done, breathing again, and off to re-finance my house before I go grocery shopping. LOL

I remember David saying somewhere that he could see the light in Marius’s eyes. I think David has that same light of hope and faith and joy in being alive.

Got my Abravanel Hall tix too!!Dayzee. Hope to meet some of you there. Tawna it sounds like you had an interesting experience too. I kept getting rejected and after numerous attempts, three phone calls, a call to the bank etc. The staff took my order on the phone and found there was something wrong in their system with my address. I have e-mail confirmation and am excited. Still hoping for something in the Midwest etc. Maybe Novemeber would be a good place to add more ha!ha! Never too early to start a Christmas Tour.

Fingers crossed for Midwest stop if they are driving to ID from PA. I’ve heard there’s a lot of factors that go into making a booking. I have a feeling that a Midwest stop would sell out quickly.

Yay! Heidijoy, I can’t wait to meet you! I don’t know about you, but when those red words pop up about being rejected I go into a cold sweat and stop breathing. Fortunately, I didn’t have to make any phone calls. Oh, the things we go thru to be around the people we have grown to love (sight-unseen), and to be in the presence of a young man who has brought changes into all of our lives. Life could be really boring without all of this.
Freo, I can guarantee a Midwest stop would sell out quickly. I wonder why there isn’t a venue available for them to book? Or maybe the venues charge too much. I wondered about November,also,Heidijoy. Hmmm, lots of questions about it that we obviously don’t have the answers for. We are all still hoping for you. ♥
Hey, we made it thru the grocery shopping and didn’t have to turn to the guy behind us for a loan. LOL (you all know I’m joking here, I hope) 🙂

I am wondering if you have thought about making a place for people here to talk about the MKOC tour – tickets, gatherings, transportation, hotels, etc. It is so hard to coordinate these venues and I think it would be really helpful. Especially for those New Yorkers to help those who don’t know all the secrets!

When I click into this post, the first thing I see (after the title) is Marius’ face from the nose up to his blue eyes. My gosh, those eyes are gorgeous. Just look at the light and sparkle in them, and you can see what David saw in him. There IS light and spirit in this sweet boy.♥

My hopes for a midwest show are fading but I’m thankful I got to see David last Nov.in Ft.Wayne. Singing his heart out in the freezing cold and looking extra glowy & snazzy too (fingerless gloves FTW!)
I was also able to shake his lyrical hand , yes that one right there in the left pic;) & thank him for sharing his music and voice with the world.(sigh)
Wouldn’t it be awesome if he gets to do one of the morning shows in New York while he is there? (Regis & Kelly would be great!)

Looking at David and listening, all I kept thinking was…the seeds of musical genius rising…it was all already there…the runs, riffs, deep deep soul, music from his bones. …and that sweet, shy, amused nature..still shows today too. Loved watching that, tks for sharing.

Yikes!! One of my best friends from college lives in Yountville. It is beautiful country in Napa Valley. My friend and her husband have their own grape vines and she teaches Tap Aerobics to middle age on up and they put on shows. I’m at a class reunion or I’d call her and squee.They have a gorgeous home/ranch with a beautiful view many times of Hot Air Balloons nearby.
I’m so glad David is exploring and having fun.

Looks like photographs and recording devices prohibited for Wells Fargo Center unless they make an exception for David fans.
Also noted David Cook and Gavin Degraw show for Oct. 20 has not sold out. I expect David will have a good turnout.

In an interview or discussion somewhere on video or perhaps in COS, David has said his friends come to him with “their relationship” problems. So, I think this “anuptaphobia” is a concern he applies to them and not necessarily to himself.

My family still occasionally asks me what it is about David that I still like. I’ve told them its his voice but then he’s got that smile! On top of all that he’s the kindest, sweetest, most giving person too. They still don’t get it but I can live with that. 🙂

Hello everyone!!!!! I have had a crazy busy week, waited & waited & waited for a midwest date that still hasn’t happened so….I am going to New York!!!!! I am going to the 1st two shows. *faints*
FYI, there is a venue sponsored VIP at Irving Plaza which supposedly allows for front of line access and a special VIP balcony area. The venue told me that you can choose to be on the floor if you wish. Contrary to what folks are saying, the venue told me that THERE ARE NO SEATS anywhere, not even in VIP balcony. A few people have called them and they have gotten other information about time of entry, VIP areas, so I am holding off and trying to call the Manager on Monday just to clarify what I am getting for my extra $20. All the people that have answered the phone have said that there will be a separate VIP early entry line, and that we will get in 1st. That is worth the $20 for sure! Once I get more info, I’ll post it.
I cannnnnnnot wait to see New York, David, and meet some fans! 🙂 *faints*

Bought regular tickets for NYC and VIP for Verona. Hope to catch up with some of you there. Two days of David (can’t wait) and two days of driving around New York State (could live without that LOL.)
