Milwaukee Brewers vs LA Dodgers ~ David Archuleta Wins!!!

Posted by djafan on Wednesday, May 18, 2011

@DavidArchie: Getting ready to sing for tonight’s @Dodgers game. Cool being on the field.

@idolsnow: DAVID ARCHULETA sings National Anthem at L.A. Dodgers home game tonight and “God Bless America” at 7th inning stretch.

@abc123Jime89xyz: “Giving David Archuleta a song to sing is like giving Picasso paint and a brush. The outcome is a masterpiece.” *sigh*

@Dodgers: Nailed it. Great job! RT @DavidArchie: Getting ready to sing for tonight’s @Dodgers game. Cool being on the field.

@clairbearattack: Thank god for the national anthem otherwise I never would have heard David Archuleta live.

@PriscillaE4: @DavidArchie just gave me the chills while singing at @dodgers stadium 🙂

Take us out to the ball game, David!

We’ll buy you some and

We don’t care if we NEVER get back!  LOL!  Ah, the simple joys of being a David fan. Like knowing for good and dang sure no one else can sing patriotic songs better than him. He opens his mouth and suddenly we feel all and

and as cheesy as this post. We also feel a renewal of hope in humanity and so much pride in him!  It is impossible to listen to him sing the National Anthem or God Bless America without getting chills. You don’t even have to be American to feel it. You just have to be. He sings it to us and makes us understand:

We are a united state of fans, one world, one love, one Voice.

Angelica that was a fun write-up taking us to the ball game. Thank you Abrra for the mp3’s and JR for the great HD vid.

I like this TAG, Some guys hit a ball with a stick and ran around a bit too, idk. It is much like the golfing scenario.

  10. Loved your post with peanuts and cracker jacks graphics! Thanks Abrra for the MP3’s ~Doc

Haha! You will have to wait til later for the usual pictures of the beautiful man. I am at work , sorta.

Another wonderful graphic! (I have yet to master photo edits)

I am happy to share any of David’s live performances. Feel free to post links on your great site !

It’s a good day in my head today. I think I have an article idea! I have been blocked for months. It feels great to be able to blather on about my favorite singer again!

    Abrra from her iPhone.

Thanks JR and Abrra for once again coming through with the goods!

Dakgal, I don’t know what else Abrra has up her sleeve to start or stop your heart but Djafan (collage-maker extraordinaire) made this. 🙂

Baseball and David (and David singing the NA). Two of my favorite things. Or three. 🙂
Thanks for the lovely post this morning, Angelica! Nothing cheesy here. I just watched it and was incredibly moved not only by David’s rendition, but by the soldier and what looks to be his father. For once I am glad the camera wasn’t on David the entire time. (the only time I have felt that way, lol)

Djafan, thanks for the lovely collage. You are so good at that.

WOW! what a great start to the day! Great article, Angelica. Great vids, JR. Great mp3’s, Abrra. And the pics, dja~thud! I just love the love that is shared around here.

Oh my, I’ve got to come down from a Rocky Mtn. high now and get myself to work.

    Thanks again, y’all.

Thanks everyone for the videos and mp3s. I couldn’t connect anywhere to listen live last night. In fact, I was surfing through the TV guide last night trying to figure out if we had the game broadcast in our area. My husband walks through and asks what I’m looking for because it was getting late at night. I told him I was looking for the Dodgers game. Husband stares at me for a looonnnng moment like I told him I had been seeing pixies in the garden, because he knows I have never watched a sporting event in my life. Then he breaks into a smile and says, “Oh, is David singing the NA? Good! Let me know if you find it and I’ll come listen, too.” HA! Bless him!

  17. Dakgal said

Thanks DJA–that epic–none other like it smile–has my heart started–running on all one cylinder!

I’m good to go now–that is til abrra pulls her shenanigans.

My 17 yr. old G’daughter threw a new one at me yesterday.

Since I have been living under a rock, when it comes to music and who’s who, (pre-David)–plus I don’t listen to the radio anymore.( for reasons we all know) She brings up Jack Johnson–and says she likes his music–now I ask you “Who is Jack Johnson”?

So I Googled him–and low and behold he isn’t a rocker or crazed singer,or rapper. He does more laid back acoustic music. (faint)

And has been around for years.

Maybe the tide IS turning as to what the younger set is willing and wanting to listening to. Some real music instead of garbage!

You go David! We’ll get’em all —one by one!!! We’re behind you all the way.

Forgot…I meant to mention this tweet Angelica, and how much I love it 🙂

“@abc123Jime89xyz: “Giving David Archuleta a song to sing is like giving Picasso paint and a brush. The outcome is a masterpiece.” *sigh*”

    that about says it all.♥

  19. FG said

Dakgal! I LOOVE me some Jack Johnson. First heard of him from The Curious George animated movie song “Upside Down” which was his biggest radio hit. I checked him out and found out that he had some airplay with “If I had Eyes” but his album sales are low, always have been, but he is on his 6th album now, and always sells out his tours here & internationally. 🙂

I saw that tweet about “give David a song…” and wondered where the quote came from. Anyone have any idea?

I love me some cheese 🙂

I so enjoy watching twitter when David is out performing in front of regular peeps and get their reactions to hearing him sing, always good.

David is so photogenic, screen capping him is a labor of love ♥

Bebe, those pictures are great and there is more here,d&igi=501031&nbc1=1

Angelica, I meant to applaud your bravery on the previous article. It is never easy to go against what others may want. This fanbase is so very passionate that it becomes a burden at times. We all have ideas of what we want for him, and at the end of the day it all boils down to success, whatever he defines it as, and however he arrives there. Most of this is beyond our control. We wish the past were different, we wish for no mistakes in the future. We want a lot. We all love him, that is why are here. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead. I think it will be full of respect for him. I feel like the world is waking up.

While I’m missing the stand-up hair, I have to say that watching David mature physically is a fascinating journey. He’s looking very relaxed and then there’s that smile…. another photo becoming my current wallpaper. I must have a thousand photos stored and it’s so interesting to cruise through the last 3 years. whew.

  25. djafan said

Going to try to listen to KIIS FM for some tickets!

I just heard them announce David Archuleta on Kiis FM for finale viewing party 🙂

    Ditto 🙂

Major League Baseball has both performances up on their website…go full screen, just beautiful.

  26. djafan said

And JR comes thru again 🙂

  27. emmegirl said

That just might be my fav of his NA’s. Little bit different from his usual, love the changes.

GBA, absolutely beautiful, such simple but heartfelt emotion.

I agree River, kinda miss that stickin’ up hair, but I think this style does make him look older. (and he probably likes it cause its easier :))

“I feel like the world is waking up”…idk why, but me too.

Angelica : Thanks for the new post… If you say this post is cheesy then I say I like cheese. “the cheesier the better” haha…

    : Feel like proud Mama.
: Love the hair, like Sunny said it’s talented..!!
: Yeah, # 22Djafan I agree David’s very photogenic, never seen he took a bad photo not
even one, any angle is gorrrgioussszz.
: The voice is so warm and soothing and as clear as crystal bell.
: You all are the best bunch :).

  29. bebereader said

I agree Emmegirl#27. That may be the best NA and GBA thus far. Each time he sings, he ups the ante. Just when you think he can’t get any better, he does.

Did you notice that he is continuing to leave a distance between his mouth and the mic, the little detail we established he picked up at MoTab? When David learns something he learns it well!

I also noticed a new maturity in his expressions. More character to his face, more depth to his smile. It’s a beautiful evolution.

I noticed it, too. It looks good on him.

And that second pic in #29. How can he stand and sing in front of so many people and look so serene and peaceful?

  33. MT said

haha Sky, you are too funny!!! *cracking up here*

I think he’s working out again. Look at his neck.

I really like his hair like that. Much more casual. Probably part of his new freedom. I noticed the “pecs picture” to, but was reluctant to say anything. Thanks for reading my mind. I’ll bet there are some killer abs under that shirt too. Gotta stop before I get in trouble.

    and that chin! chiseled \_/ < 🙂

Djafan…thanks for the top 3 memories. After all these years, after he has consistently continued to “raise the bar” and amaze us, I’m surprised that I’m still floored with each and every performance from the past. It just reminds me why I have a hard time getting excited about AI in recent years. I remember being so nervous for him that night: 3 songs to learn (with some unfair last minute manipulation), the whole “Stand By Me” fall-out, and the exhausting schedule with his Homecoming.

Angelica, I just wanted to say how touched I was by your account of the publishing of your article in the last thread. David is blessed to have a fan like you.

  39. djafan said

I watched AI today because my 9 year granddaughter put it on and went to watch David’s top 3 performances, no comparison, he was a genius then and that and more now.
