Hah! David’s newest vlog may appear to be a St. Patrick’s Day vlog to some, but to diehard fans, it’s much more. In fact, it was packed to the gills with so many random implications, things we’ve been patiently waiting to hear. Were you sitting on the edge of your seat, afraid you’ll miss something? How many times did you watch it?
Wishing us a Happy St. Patrick’s Day, he stood to show us that he has his green on, wearing a Gremlin t-shirt. He just wanted to check in and tell us that it’s been a crazy week!
Honoring the victims of the Japan earthquake, he points out how technology gives immediate access to show us exactly what is happening in Japan. He tells us to be mindful of others who may be going through hard times and encourages us to donate even a small amount. If you can’t do much, at least keep them in your prayers.
It’s been a really good week, he says! I’d really like to know what he really means by ‘really’. He’s working on some songs but it’s a matter of finishing them. He compares himself to the mad scientist on Jimmy Neutron who’s never able to finish anything. You know, it’s all a matter of narrowing the songs down, he says. Gee David, all you have to do is say the word and we can help.
He goes on to say that there’s been a lot of phone calls this week. David, I hope your cell was ringing off it’s hook! It’s his last day at home and wants to spend time with his siblings. Last day in Utah? Where are you going, David? “Going going back back to Cali Cali” and excited for tomorrow. Did you catch that sneaky grin? What’s going on in Cali Cali in the next few days? Writing more songs? Signing with a label? Interviewing new management?
The part that excited me most was when he talked about a foundation and of needing to get that foundation built before building the tower. The tower??!! I know what a foundation is but was more than happy to look it up since he sounded serious.

2: funds given for the permanent support of an institution
3: an underlying base or support; especially, the whole masonry substructure of a building
4: a body or ground upon which something is built up or overlaid
5: a woman’s supporting undergarment
6: a cosmetic usually used as a base for makeup
I’m assuming David means #1 #3 or #4.
Excited for today, he’s looking forward to letting us know what’s coming up, and will talk to us guys next time. He said “See ya.”

Catching up this early, blistery, blustery day in Cali—at least in northern Cali. Now it’s off to work…..but, I’M SO EXCITED! David is up to something BIG—-I love how he keeps us squirming in our seats. He really is very clever—- “accidentally on purpose”. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
Loved all the poems and comments and oodles of excitement yesterday from everyone.

The Plot thickens! Lady V tweeted she’s doing something with someone that is really exciting. Melinda tweeted: “Have fun today David” Could it be he is going for a Blimp ride???? I’m just picking up on what others have speculated on. I also think David has some important meetings this coming week. Whatever……….I’m glad to see him so Happy! It makes me happy!

Dja, Been sitting here studying Davids face♥ ahh gotta love those screencaps! Loved the definitions of foundation. I am still riding high on yesterday’s vlog and the good feelings that came from the rambling man! My thinking is he had an offer to meet with someone who is really interested in working with him. In what capacity is anyone’s guess. Whatever today brings, I am reassured we will hear about it very soon now.
(why would he keep a blimp ride a secret?)…unless he thought it would send fans running to the nearest blimp house!

The possibilities are simply endless & I’ve just got to say that his excitement is contagious ~found myself smiling back at him just as if he was in the same room with me..lol The words “foundation” & “tower” can only mean good things ahead even though it may take some time..he’s young & so ridiculously talented, time is on his side. I’m hoping for him to be having some good, productive meetings with the right people. Doing some sign, seal and delivers things! But, all I do know that he was happy and excited and that makes me feel the same, knowing that good things are coming up. I could see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice and have to smile at his subtle hints he gives out when I read between the lines!

To get right to the point, I’m really proud of David. I always have been, but I am all the more at the moment. And here’s why…
On October 5, 2010, David released the inspirational, yet “dorky” album The Other Side of Down. As much as his fans loved it, the sales did not compare to his debut. Not to mention his first single off of it,
“Something ‘Bout Love”, was nothing compared to his very first single “Crush” (in popularity). With all the hard work David put into the album, you’d think that would all be a little disappointing.
In February 2011, the cyber world exploded with rumors that David had been dropped from his label, right after confirmation that he was no longer with his management. As all this buzzed around the internet, more and more people believed it. A few days later David made a video blog explaining that it was all his decision to leave both the label and his management.
Now, already not having the most popular album, and now having no “team” backing him up, you might think this would get David in a slump. But, proving he really is on the other side of down, David has been the complete opposite. Even more specifically, he’s been writing music.
In the same video blog, David said that he was starting to write his own songs, then showed everyone a tall banana tree that was behind him. How could you get any cheerier then a banana tree? David has since tweeted numerous times about being hard at work on writing new songs. Just the fact that he’s been so diligent with it is admirable enough, but his spirit is what I’m really proud of.
Succeeding with his own lyrics “I could give up, I could stay stuck, Or I could move on”, David is definitely moving on, and with a smile on his face. His desire to write his own music is showing that his passion is deeper than his dismay. I’m proud of the way David has handled everything, and that he hasn’t let anything get to him. David is a true inspiration, not only with music, but as a person.

Where does all the speculation that he’s going up in a balloon coming from? Did I miss something?
If he wants a balloon ride -he sure could get one during Stadium of Fire (Ahem-being he is one of the star performers). They will have hot air balloons July 2nd-3rd-5th–contests and such. I’m sure all he’d have to do is smile and say please and he’d have 40 offers.

Well, well, well.
After all the grief the ex-manager caused for David’s fans with one ill-timed, mean spirited tweet, she tweeted another one earlier today, “Have fun today” or something along those lines, knowing full well someone would pick up on it & let David’s fans know, which would create a barrage of tweets & questions to her about it. So now she’s a hero?
She OWES David a HUGE apology. If this way her way of doing that, fine. I couldn’t be happier David. Everyone has a right to their opinion, & I have a not very good opinion of her. There’s just something very underhanded about the way she uses just enough words to make sure we get what she wants us to get.
I just can’t be “LIKE DAVID” in this case.

I totally agree. Her lack of professionalism was disgraceful, IMO. She’s a clever lady; I’ll give her that, but this gesture does not take back the rumor her tweet started.
When I first started online in the late nineties, I was mostly on message boards and chat rooms. Twitter didn’t exist back then. One thing I learned was that when you say something online you’d better be sure you mean it because once it’s out there, you can’t take it back. I abide by this today, especially on Twitter, a social network that, with only 140 characters can send a powerful message.

I missed the revelations last night.
When I heard Melinda of WEG tell David not to yell at her during. a Vlog, I knew that it was all wrong for David. It only takes a few words spoken in front of thousands of onlookers to gain insight into personalities.
The MoTab concerts took David two huge steps forward beyond all expectations. This intermission is just that, a time to clean house and move on. Oh no, David is in to building and that is even better.
Japan needs a better day.

#DavidGotDatPressure has trended twice since last night. Twitter was going crazy. This is good, this is bad, David’s name in with those lyrics, everyone chiming in with their thoughts. Some think it was done for hits.
Well T-Pain doesn’t need hits…lol I was surprised to say the least but it put a smile on my face lyrics aside. Emenim used Cooks name in his rap but as a slam to Cook. Here David’s name is used in understanding the pressure David has and relates to it. This guy knows David and my even follow him, imagine how many may wonder who David Archuleta is and look him up.

Andrekvr~ I was going to answer one of your questions. David is definitely in Cali on business. Think of yesterday as his last day of vacation before returning to work..In the vlog, he said it was his last day at home, and he was going back to Cali to prepare and “set things up”, and to start moving forward. It kind of sounds like he may go back & forth between CA & Utah until things are settled. Not sure…He was a wee bit vague, lol.

SF, You’re not alone. I think David might be taking up cooking as much as he like eating out. He had time to watch all those cooking shows he loves. I just wouldn’t be surprised. As for the red meat maybe he just eats it once in a while.

Yes, but he is trying to acquire a taste for fish, like tweeting about eating the swordfish tacos and experimenting with prawns. He loves burgers, so we know he likes beef sometimes, but not as much as chicken or turkey, I think. He’s loves poultry. So I think this is pretty much where he stands on the issue.

Well, I got sucked in too, and loved every minute of it♥ haha Great videos, Westbury was so much fun and how special to be able to witness that last Christmas concert on video.Think we all wish we had been able to be there for that one! Good old Ray. haha Love how David jumped, when he came up beside him.Good times!Happy David.
So much happening in the world right now and its all unsettling…wanted to get away from all the news, so I came here. Here, I can escape into our David world for awhile, and feel better for it:))

Betsy, it’s like a blind side hit, you never know when it’s coming..and then BAM! Next thing you know you are uncontrollably spinning from video to video. You just have to ride it out until you become satiated (this can sometimes take many hours) or until someone comes home, which ever comes first.

That crowd at Westbury is basically the Sayreville crowd, the fans from New York and New Jersey who always give David a huge reception, whose applause and screams are overwhelming! We need David back on tour; he never got a chance to sing the songs from TOSOD to these NY/NJ fans! I feel like a campaign manager. LOL
