Then there is David the song writer, who we are just getting to know and anticipate the fruits of his labors there. *insert squee* There is David the dancer/performer, also a work in progress, and the work is going very well, I might add.
But over and above all this, the crown jewel, the cherry on top of all that delightful, delectable, deliciousness is the man himself. The David we have come to know off stage. A man of quiet strength, compassion, courage, humility and character. A man after our own hearts, when all we meant to do was love his art.
So we are here to celebrate his art, which is awesome, and his humanity, which is awesomer. We are here to celebrate the totality of his awesomeage. And that, though linguistically incorrect, is the charuth.”

I seldom post but had to break my silence to congratulate you on making it to your first anniversary, with heartfelt wishes that you will have many more. I love the positivity I find here (kinda like our man David himself) and thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the timely articles that are always respectful of David and each other while entertaining us with hilarious stories or tugging at our heart strings with the tenderness and love expressed for our David. And, ooooohhhhhhh, the eloquence of the gifted writers here!

Has it been a year already?! Time sure does fly doesn’t it? Especially when I wish time would slow down a little. There’s so much to look forward to with David. He has a great future as The Voice for as long as he wants it and this fan site dedicated to David with love will, I’m very sure, be right there with David as he continues to grow.
Two years ago we were so excited about David’s first album & his first single, Crush. Two years ago most of us were bewildered about our feelings for David. Many of us were questioning our sanity & a little embarrassed of the way David had us in this unbelievable hypnotic state. I know I was. It seemed like I was having these “What Just Happened” moments every day, many times a day. I was glued to my computer almost 24/7. It was crazy-wonderful & I could not explain it. I just went with it because he made me so happy just by “being”. Like so many others who were in the same state of euphoria, I began to consider that David must not be merely human, but that he had to be an “Elevated Human Being” with the power to make us deliriously happy with just the sound of his voice or with his beautiful smile. All this is still true today, maybe more so, but in my case, with less anxiety about the “Why?”. David makes me happy just by the very fact that he exists so it is what it is and will always be.
Having Fan Sites such as The Voice, which is dedicated to the promotion of David and his music and for extraordinary young man he is and the exceptional MAN he is fast becoming, makes being a fan so very enjoyable. You give us information infused with fun, laughter, love & respect, not to mention great photos, most of which should always come with a “WARNING”!
So my Congratulations, Angelica, Djafan, Bebe, Abrra! Thanks for your dedication & hard work making The Voice a very Good Place. Job well done!

When we started the site we couldn’t have come up with a more appropriate name.

A “Good Place” is a site that attracts good hearted people and brings them together for the love and respect they have for David and for each other. I am always impressed with the brilliant writings on this site. Not just the wonderfully dedicated and talented Angelica, Abrra, Bebe, and Djafan but all of the posters. Silverfox, I always read your poetic comments knowing that it’s all good and what I am feeling too. Before I go to bed, I just wanted to say…
I LOVED these words from the very first time I read them on the “About The Voice” tab above written of course by Angelica describing HER vision of what this fan site for David was about. Her vision, and those of Djafan, Bebe & Abrra, who add their own unique brilliance & visions, have made The Voice the warm, beautiful and inviting Good Place for David:

Believing we can make it better.

I have always thought these words should be displayed, either on the banner, or side bar. Not hidden under a tab because it describes perfectly the vision of the true heart & soul of The Voice, Angelica.

David & what sounds like a mini entourage accompanying him, are in the air right at this moment on their way to the other side of the world. Thinking back to the throngs of fans & the craziness that greeted David when he arrived in Asia last year, I hope Melinda is ready!
For David….
Dear Lord,
Please take care of David. Watch over him. Protect & keep him safe from harm.
Cloak him with your love and give him the strength to endure all that is thrown in his path.
Give David the courage to say no to those who ask for more than he can reasonably give.
Surround David with people who will love and support him unconditionally as his Archangels do.
Separate David from those who have agendas other than for his well being.
Give him rest when he’s weary and stamina to sustain his hectic pace.
Give him assurance when he feels doubt and give him joy if he ever feels sad.
Keep him always in your protective arms during his journey overseas.
Please give us and his management WEG, the wisdom to do right by David always.

Happy Anniversary *tosses confetti* and a big thank you to the admins of The Voice!! Real life doesn’t give me much time to formulate profound (heck, I’d settle for coherent)comments, but I do so enjoy reading the articles and comments here.
Lately, I’ve been listening to TOSOD as usua, but paying particular attention to the background vocals, which are amazing on some tracks. CFTH is also on heavy rotation. David’s tone is so indescribably soft and soothing in places in WCIT, it has become my drug of choice. And I am not even going to mention the effect of the lower range of his voice lately—nope, nope, nope.

I can’t believe it’s been a year that we have all been ‘getting together’ and going over and over and over the many qualities that we see in David and the many ways that he touches each of our lives. As we’ve watched him grow and mature, our love and respect for him grows deeper and deeper. I truly feel blessed to be a part of this community as we all learn the lessons that David is teaching us. Watching Your Back

Why do we support David Archuleta? To reasonably answer that question I personally need to go back to Season 7 of American Idol.
I remember hearing from most of the Idols that they were very busy and had limited time for their required responsibilities. David Archuleta had an even tighter schedule since school was
added to his daily routine. He once commented that he had to rehearse late at night because of the little time he had during the day. All of them had similar schedules.
It was reported some Idols in subsequent seasons felt that since they had a tight schedule and so much to do they did not have time to meet with fans. It must have been very difficult to fit everything they were requested to do in the time that was given them. Sometimes that is the price you pay for asking fans to attend your concerts and buy your albums.
Never did I hear a complaint from David about not wanting to interact with his fans. He was always the first one out and the last one to leave taking so much time with every fan making them feel they were the only one. Accepting gifts and thanking each fan for coming and hoping they have a wonderful time. Never a complaint even if one existed, it was never mentioned.
We were spoiled and are spoiled being fans of David Archuleta. He is kind, sweet, humble, considerate, respectful, thoughtful and sincere, underline sincere. He truly loves his fans and enjoys his time with us and also reminds us often if it weren’t for us he would not be where he is today. It’s because who he is as a person and his great talent that we watch his back and promote him. We buy his albums and constantly run to every concert and still want more. He is always there for us and we will always be there for him.
It is sad for those artists who lack David’ character and talent, their dreams will be short lived. David is one in a trillion and it would be difficult to emulate him. For someone so young he knows what is important – family, friends, his faith, and the fans who love him. He is involved in many charities to help serve others as he knows that serving others brings success, wealth and happiness.
He is dedicated to his artistry which gives him an edge over many others as fame is further down his list. An extraordinary gifted young man with loads of Character! David is widely respected, admired and loved as much for his genuinely honest personality as for his music.

This mostly lurker just has to speak out on this anniversary for the hoards of us silent ones who feel so at home on this site. Please know that there are many of us for each of the more vocal ones, so many, many of us out here with ODD who love this site. We have been here from the beginning, all comfy, nodding “Yes!” and wiping away tears and spitting out our drinks at some wildly hilarious description of something that happened on a road trip. We love it that you give us fabulous writing, gorgeous pictures (can he get more breathtaking by the day!) and videos for those of us who can’t go to the concerts. I come here first every day, cause it’s my favorite; then I come last to see if there is a new article. If not, there are sure to be lots of great comments from equally eloquent fans.
Thanks for the site. I can’t complain, cause it’s my kind of perfect.
And Silverfox, I so much appreciate your prayer. Along with everything else about it, when I read it aloud, as I always do, I can feel him surrounded by our love and just know he will be safe–in every sense of the word.

And, what about an mp3 of the NEBTD…the one that I keep playing over and over, and the one that my husband came back to hear and commented that he really likes it!! Just when we thought we had the best of the best, another song comes out and it it starts all over again. (does he sing blueberry eyes or blueberry ice? ice makes more sense to me–just askin’)
