My favorite David smiles are these “natural ones”, that come when he is laughing,tickled by something, and happy, like your collage.When he smiles full out like that,you cannot help but smile back, at the picture of David,the tv David,the concert David,the video David… how many times have we smiled till our faces hurt, watching videos alone!

Where have I been??????? Well, I’ve been busy with “real life” issues, that’s where!
I had no idea Angelica is in OHIO! I had to go back to find her very excited & exciting announcement. I was thinking how wonderful it is when a David fan “gifts” a ticket to another. It allows the “giftee” to attend events she normally would not think about attending, most of the time due to distance & time constraints. But a gift of a ticket, especially a VIP or a FIRST ROW SEAT ticket for a concert by David is enough to throw caution to the wind & just GO FOR IT!! It’s a very exhilarating feeling & the bonus is you make a friend for life! I know this first hand. 😀
So Angelica, have a great time & tomorrow give David another hug & tell him we here at The Voice love & admire him more every day!

Off Topic, I have been following the rescue efforts of the Chilean miners who have been trapped for two months. This very dramatic & angst ridden time is almost over for the miners & their families. I can just see all the books & made for TV movie rights being discussed as this story unfolds. I sincerely hope once the men are rescued, they are given a chance to heal before they are bombarded with all kinds of “offers” to “talk” about their experience. We cannot begin to fathom what they went through.
“What began as a potential tragedy is becoming a verified blessing,” President Sebastian Pinera said in Santiago. “When we Chileans set aside our legitimate differences and unify in a grand and noble cause, we are capable of great things.”
We will witness a true miracle when the first & the last miner is brought out.

SF, DJA, have been following the story from Chile too. There is quite a bit of coverage here because the team running the drill are local. It is still a very risky situation but they have made incredible progress. Praying for everyone safe return to their families.

I was in Vancouver for the Olympics when Joanie Rochette lost her Mom and bravely skated her best. She is a very special athlete and person. It could not be a better match to have her skate to David’s singing. I cannot wait to see this broadcast. It will be magical. Anxious for the reports from the Angels where were lucky enough to be there!

SF, my prayers are with the miners. I didn’t even know about this. I could say I don’t know where I’ve been but that wouldn’t be true. I’ve been in an Archuleta stupor for weeks. I guess I need to get my head out of TOSOD and check out the news channels.
I have registered for tickets to the MoTab concert. Actually, I have 30 friends that are helping me get tickets. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. 🙂 If by chance I do get them and have extras, I’ll let you know. The more fans the merrier!

Goboywonder, I feel your pain. I was where you are, then out of the blue, David was scheduled to perform here at the WDJX Birthday Bash! I couldn’t believe it. But the sad thing is, I have yet to hear David on WDJX since then. I dunno, maybe they do play him like when I’m sleeping & most everyone else is too. It’s very frustrating to hear the stuff they do play as compared to David’s TOSOD. 😦
PattiNC, what a generous idea! Who knows though..if you are one of the lucky few, maybe just maybe you could very well find yourself “gifted” with a plane ticket in exchange for three tickets. Miracles do happen you know. Just a thought. 😉

SF, It is painful not being able to go to all these wonderful shows David is doing but maybe by miracle I will win tickets to the MTC concert (Forget Santa, Lord I’ve been mostly good :D). Also, I heard SBL for about 3 weeks on one of my local stations. I heard it once about 9:30pm but mostly between 10pm-3am. Most of the time they played it either before or after Emimen’s(sp?)Love The Way You Lie. I thought it would catch on but then they stopped. Although I’m disappointed, I only heard Crush once so… I have stopped listening to radio for the most part. It was pure torture trying to catch SBL I spent a lot of time either lowering the volume or turning the dial.

I just sent a mass message to all the people I work with here at work groveling for them to register online for the MoTab tickets for me and any other fans who might be interested if I happen to be lucky to win them. Also, I would like to let anyone here on “The Voice” who might be interested in trying to come to this concert from out of state and wins tickets, I have plenty of room to have those who might be interested to stay at my home so you wouldn’t have to get a hotel room and the only expense would be getting here then, since the tickets are free. Just let me know!! I love meeting new David fans!!! :)))

Ian, nice to read a review that incorporates self disclosure in the name of fairness. I am going to warn you that you may end up like me (a closet Archuleta fan) if you don’t delete his album from your itunes. It’s so not cool to embrace a teenager’s music…especially one from American Idol. I made the mistake of taking my young family to one of his solo concerts. I was stunned by his live performance. This kid can sing and no record company manufactured his kind of talent. He delivers so effortlessly and with such technical skill you can just slide into the music and really enjoy the ride. I’m loving the new album!

It is so heartwarming to read all the posts from fans wanting to help others get to the concert in December. I have a story I’d like to share that is both heartwarming and funny.
If I win the tickets (also have everyone I know registering), my friend and fellow ODDer in Utah has offered me her sky miles. We have formed a very close friendship since meeting way back on noting David, but have never met face to face.
I was telling my “big brother” about this and he asked me (with a very serious look on his face)”have you ever seen a picture of this woman?” Hahaha I guess he is worried that his sister (who is an older fan BTW) is ready to fly across the country to meet someone she met on a fan site! He has no idea how close David’s fans have become with one another.

It was really funny:) He then sang Elevator and on the sing-along part he had to have our side re-sing because we weren’t loud enough. Then he had the guys sing and he said he wouldn’t finish the song until at least 5 guys sang. Lol David was too funny:) P.S. Pardon my singing at the end!! I was going for loud..but not in-tune. lol”
