highervibe ~ Just smiled through your whole poem—so cute, so clever, so true! It goes so well with this new picture of him too, which is now my new desktop background. I’m sure my family just laughs at my always changing “David” desktops. When his picture for the single came out, my 6 year old granddaughter came to the computer with me because she wanted to watch and hear “parachutes and airplanes” again. When she saw that picture of David on my screen, she gasped and turned and stared at me with her mouth open (see you’re never too old or too young!!) and I said to her, “I hear ya sister.” When I showed and told her dad, my son in law, he laughed so hard. He and my daughter (and little Savannah) are big fans.

“pwned: A corruption of the word “Owned.” This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled “owned.” When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so “has been owned.” Instead, it said, so-and-so “has been pwned.” It basically means “to own” or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force.”
Hmmm to that last sentence. 😉

HV, great stuff. Very David; interesting, fun,and surprising. As for the pic, by the time David’s CD comes out, the general public will have to be remimded that David is the best singer in the world, and not its most famous male model. The above pic is from the photoshoot that David referred to himself as “I’m weird, I look weird”. Unless they change the definition of “weird” to “astonishingly handsome”, David will have to find another word to use to describe his physical appearance.

Each picture is better than the last, I do not think or imagine how it will be the last picture, just in case I am preparing my heart for that moment.
There have been many things in the triad of stars on the right side of his face, but I think the most impressive star is the one next to his right eye, could make another argument. (The thesis with reference to their jeans, not even finished.).
How I wish that every star would form a map and to continue a never ending journey.

SBL live, just guitar accompaniment — wow!! As good as, maybe better than, the recorded single. David is a vocal genius — proving beyond a doubt that no enhancement or autotune is needed. Don’t believe there is another singer out there that could, or would be brave enough to, do that. Bravo David!

But he did a bang-up job, as he always does. He always delivers and then some. I loved how he included the audience. Hearing these performances just makes me even more absolutely certain this album will SLAY and show a truly evolving artist! Elevator is so GREAT and quirky-personal just like he’s been promising! *squeeeee!* LOVE SBL acoustic, too!
I do have a question about the “head voice” parts in Elevator. As I recall Dean Kaelin (I think?) had said that David engages his head voice (vs. a true falsetto) when he “goes there” … I wonder if a true falsetto would give him easier access to that range—and if he can even make that kind of switch and develop a true falsetto. Seems he works a little harder than he should have to for some of those phrases. (I’ve wondered about the “head voice” vs. “true falsetto” thing for awhile now, ever since I learned about the distinction between the two.)
Anyhoo, I am positively B.O.N.K.E.R.S. for Elevator!

One of my friends wanted to use my cell phone yesterday and I had a black and white version of the SBL cover on my phone and all of a sudden she tells me she thinks my boyfriend is gorgeous and I’m like what? Cuz I don’t have a boyfriend and she points to picture of David in my phone and she continues on gushing about how gorgeous he is until I tell her he’s a famous singer with an amazing voice and not my boyfriend unfortunately lol. But I let her listen to some of his songs and she is a fan now too haha.

He’s singing a short 2030 min set like last night & NO m&g pass for me. First time I will see David perform, but not meet him at a show. I will be so sad on the way home. My daughter won’t know what to do with me. 😦
But at least I will see him today in my city which I would never have imagined a month ago! 😀

My granddaughter had a to get home right after David’s set cause she had another “thing” she was going to which I knew nothing about OTHERWISE I would have driven myself to to show.

Can I be practical for a minute…well thanks, I will be. I know that David is not wanting necessarily to have that ‘big’ hit because it is not about that…But, I believe that if one of his songs becomes a huge hit…and the chances are excellent…then the messages that he gives would reach millions more. The gift would be that the go-getters would not have to keep going quite so hard with the voting (and they work diligently every day) because the hit would take care of that. I commend all who work to get David’s music on top of the charts. One little huge hit please from any one of his songs…
I also believe that Barriers, and Zero Gravity could be those big hits…don’t put any of them on the shelf just yet as older songs, because they are better than most songs out there. They slipped by the tops of the charts. I turn off the radio and out comes the ipod…

SandyBeaches: I totally agree! There’s got to be a hit or two or three or more in that new album. From the bits and pieces we’ve heard so far, it looks very promising. I think it’s natural for new fans to look into previous music. And we’ll never pack ZG or Barriers away.

SB, my Ipod is my BFF! I really don’t know what I’d do without it. Radio has no appeal for me and hasn’t for quite awhile now. Most of the songs just hurt my ears and upset my stomach.

For some reason, I really like when he wears that ring. I think the 1st time I remember him wearing that ring was at Ford Day when he fiddled with it so much.
In Greenville, it just caught my eye on his left hand, because if you didn’t know what it was, you would think it was a wedding ring & thoughts wander as you imagine David with a wife and what lucky girl he would choose.

Hi all,
I love hearing David sing his new songs, but I must say that you don’t get the full effect of SBL. I really hope that at Arthur Ash day there is more then just the guitar. To have that kind of exposure and not do it right would be frustrating to me. In my humble opinion.
