Every Time You Smile

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that
person, a beautiful thing. ~ Mother Teresa
At a concert, long before David comes out on to the stage, we wait with anticipation to see his radiant face, to catch a glimpse of his smile. We feel the gift that he is freely giving us each time we see him. When we catch sight of David’s smiling face, we are happy because the signal is sent that communicates to us that, ‘all-is-well’. Like the waves on the ocean, our excitement rises with the sight of his smile and that is one of the connections, besides his voice, we love to experience.
A recent quote by Tracewillow: “I’m from Malaysia, half a world away as Abrra says, but I hear David, get David, see David…When he ran unto the stage, the feeling that hit me real hard then, at the very first sight of him, was that the sun had come out, even though it was quite bright at the time.”
David’s smile turns the day into something natural and fun, giving an instant rush of happiness and calmness that reminds us that the day has truly been worthwhile. It may seem absurd to the casual reader, but we smile back at David during his vlog, we smile continuously while he is in our presence and even when we read his tweets. Sometimes in an evening when we are in chat on The Voice Unplugged, there is a sudden stillness when no one is writing, no one is chatting. As David is singing, we are sitting back and listening with a certain peacefulness that is understood throughout the chat community. When the Christmas Carols are played in July, we listen and keep on smiling. David brings out the common love that we share and the compassion and thoughtfulness for other fans and friends.
In a scientific look at the makeup of a smile, psychologist Robert Zajonc’s scientific research explains a fact that has been well-known throughout the ages. He says that smiling leads to physiological changes in the brain, actually cooling the blood in the face, which in turn gives a feeling of happiness. Some say that the very act of smiling releases serotonin, known as the `happy chemical` in the brain. However it happens, we have David to thank for many reasons that we smile.
It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving. ~ Mother Teresa

David with Jonah from "Make a Wish Foundation"
With his charismatic smile, David has joined and will continue to flourish in an impressive, elite group of singers who like David, showcase the honesty of their convictions in their performances. These singers are known worldwide as some of the most generous humanitarians, each with remarkable stories of their own.
For Michael Jackson, in humanitarian terms, it was his quiet mission in life. His body of artistic work carried a spiritual message for all the injustices of the human race. He said, “What I enjoy most about performing is making people happy. Just to make a person smile means more to me than anything.” Reba McEntire’s contributions are enormous. She has contributed millions to help people all around the world. The reason that Reba’s career is so successful is because she truly knows what’s important in life: sharing her heart and touching other people’s hearts. I believe that her giving nature is her true talent in life.
I have been drawn to yet another performer who shares with David many obvious and similar musical talents. Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, one of the most esteemed vocalists in history, is dedicating an exceptional fund-raising concert “A Smile For Angels” with the proceeds donated to NPH Haiti. David and Andrea are decades apart, although both have become known as “The Voice.” They share a common goal of supporting and uplifting humanity with their constant, outward reach to those less privileged. They also share one important thing in common…their unforgettable smiles.
The impacts of a smile: “It costs nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever” ~ Dale Carnegie

And didn’t he win an award for “Best smile” 2 years ago? I believe so. A TCA. They should’ve retired the category after that. 🙂
One of my favorite lines from a song is by Anna Nalick (Breathe 2AM)

I have to be on my more serious side for just a moment…
My long term dream or part of it, is for most of the people of the world to see David and hear David as we do. This is not for him to be recognized after ten years because he is so young and all that goes with his youth, but to be listened to and appreciated now.
It is funny, that when you work on an article, the most difficult part of it is the topic. So I dared to put my dream out there. I placed some pretty wonderful people together with David, people who share common worldly talents and recognition.
I sent Angelica some carefully hand picked pictures for a collage and had for some reason difficulty scaling down the picture of David in his tux jacket, to go with the others. So, I left it. Angelica with her artistry put it together just right. I smiled a big smile when I saw it this morning!
At the time that Michael Jackson passed away, I had an article published on TDC. I remember the appologies that the article was taken over by the days happenings, but I was just as shocked and pleased to have the article for people to come to and write about Michael.
Michael Jackson singing “Smile” with pictures of David brought tears through the smiles this morning. Thank you Angelica, it is truly a special tribute to David and Michael.. I have never heard the song sung any more beautifully…

Not only does David smile with his mouth but, he smiles with his entire body. Even if you don’t see his mouth because of holding the mic up to his lips, you can tell by his eyes. Happiness just pierces right through to your soul. I especially like when he smiles with a cross bite. ha ha He is just too cute!!

Wow! SB and Angelica! The article and quotes were incredible as we all experience the joy, happiness, and SMILES that David brings! I have never seen him in pictures, vlogs, blogs, live in concert, live in person, interviews, etc. that I don’t grin the whole time. I have actually experienced sore cheeks during some of these experiences. But this “Smile” video brought me to tears and I cannot seem to get a hold of myself. The happiness he has added to my life and brought so to the forefront with these adorable pictures and coupled with MJ’s song is indescribable. Well, wish me luck today because all I want to do is watch this video over and over and cry some more. See what you make me do, David. Thank you for enriching our lives with The Voice–I love and appreciate you all so much.

SB,
I didn’t do the lovely collage for the article. That was the work of Djafan.
Thank you for writing this and reminding us of the power of a smile, not only those we receive, but those we give away. The celebrities you included are example of David’s philosophy on the proper use of fame: “As I said, I strongly believe that fame brings with it the opportunity to help other people. You can use your name for the purpose of doing good, as opposed to just being tabloid material all the time. You can actually make a difference. I feel that all celebrities should take this responsibility seriously and take advantage of their positions to spread positive messages. I hold this as a top priority as I move along in my career, whatever “status” I have will be as much for others as it is for myself, because fame is nothing without generosity and kindness.” COS
So thanks for bringing his message home more fully with this article. As you said, “We feel the gift that he is freely giving us each time we see him.” And as Suzy-Q observed, “he smiles with his whole body..” Even when his mouth is not visible, his smile and the love is right there in his eyes.
FG#13 You almost made my Diet Dr. Pepper come through my nose. Muahahahahahaha!!!!
His scowl is rather endorphin inducing too. 😛

SB–this article is positively written by a true fan of David Archuleta, and I love it, and you for writing it. David’s smile is a really big and important part of why we love him. He brings rainbows thru clouds, roses in spite of thorns, lemonade from lemons, and snugglies from the cold. He lights up our lives and helps us to see the positive and ” accept[ing] the positive things about it and simply observing and acknowledging any negativity or weirdness” (COS pp. 170-2).
Thank you, SB for bringing this topic to the surface. 🙂

SB: When I look through my stash of pics of David I realize that the majority of them are smile pics, and with good reason; his smile just makes me feel good and so I can never get enough. When David smiles, you can’t help but smile back at him; yes, even to a picture.
Many times in The Voice Unplugged I ask everyone if they are smiling at the screen. I just know they are. You can feel it. And every time, the entire room ‘stands up’ and shouts a resounding, ‘YES!” LOL
So thank you for paying tribute to David’s mega-watt, healing smile, a topic that will one day require a whole book to discuss.

I have a couple subjects that I would like to express my opinion.
Since this is the discussion of David’s smile I’m making a confession. I hated the cover art for his 1st album. When David smiles 99% of the time he communicates with others, why did Jive want to change that image. I agree the red clothing was catchy, but the seriousness and dark eyes made him look almost devilish and sick. OK, I said it, now I’ll let it go. P.S. to this comment – I should not have said hated (that is not a “David” word, he probably doesn’t even have it in his vocabulary). I should have said that I was seriously disappointed.
OK, almost on the same subject – photo shoot for the album. The cover art for SBL blows me away. I pull it up and just stare at it. I feel he’s looking into my soul with positive thoughts and healing me. So totally the opposite of the 1st album cover.
David tweeted after the album photo shoot about how much he enjoyed it. He didn’t think he could enjoy it that much and really at times forgot it was a photo shoot.
You can see that in the photos. The SBL cover, the (not-official) album cover. He looks different, almost as if he finally agrees with us that he is “not goofy or weird looking” as he often described himself.
His eyes and smile have more confidence. The chair photo, I think, is the most mature smile photo of David yet.
I think he walked away from that shoot comfortable in his own “boots”, and I think his look has changed, i.e. the photos we’ve seen in the last few days.
Never thought he’d be more beautiful, but David fans, we are in his spell and I am not looking for a way out.

So to better sum up my feelings on how he and his wonderful smile make me me feel I’m going to quote a song by Uncle Kracker called Smile too
You´re better then the best
I´m lucky just to linger in your life
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow that´s right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me
Lets me know that it´s ok yeah it´s ok
And the moments when my good times start to fade
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed
Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head
Spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
Buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Even when you´re gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking through the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of
bed sing like bird
Dizzy in my head spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
Don´t know how I lived without you
Cuz everytime that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed
sing like bird
Dizzy in my head
spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold
buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh you make me smile
If there is anything I love more it’s Davids beautiful smile.

My opinion is that it sounds like a good article. Contact me at The Voice “Contact Us” link, top of page when you get it done. haha.
In the meantime, I think he will probably move toward a less pop, more romantic/bluesy/Latin/soulful crooner in time. Except that he won’t be like anyone else. He may even usher in a whole new style of music that will borrow from each of these influences, including pop. With his knowledge of past music, passion, and musical genius, that would be my bet. Personally, I’m hoping for MUCH more of the Soul Man of Utah to emerge with a Latin flavor and pop groove.
I’m really not up this late. I fell asleep working at my computer a long time ago and then I fell awake.
As Truman would say, “Good morning, and in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!”

For English 101 I had to do an argument paper. I chose to argue against piracy. I was able to produce many counter arguments to those who use illegal downloads. Needless to say, NO-ONE cared about any of the “little” guys involved in creating CD’s. The biggest argument for the other side, was that “those musicians make millions”. My counter arguments were factual and as far as debate goes, I won. What didn’t happen is me changing anyone’s mind about the risk in illegal downloads if caught. They(mostly young college students) just don’t care.
My English teacher was fresh out of college herself. She even let me know that she doesn’t pay for her music. 😦

Emmegirl #54/Tawna#55 Re: Piracy
The record companies make it too easy for people to steal music online. If they would stop leaking songs and full cds before the official release date it would help the problem, somewhat. Many people are satisfied with leaks even if they aren’t the final cut of the song and they have no intention of paying for the song when it officially drops. The feeling is ‘why pay if I don’t have to?’ But all musicians aren’t millionaires and many are just starting out and need the funds from the record sales. More to the point, stealing anything, including music is illegal. Sadly, I don’t see this situation changing anytime soon.
I hope “The Other Side of Down” does NOT leak on the web but it probably will.
djafan#65 Thanks for the squeefest! I love when David is asked to give advice to those just starting out in the business. Hmm…A musical genius, who has already been through the rigors of AI. I can’t think of a better mentor for AI contestants.

I’ve heard the “they make money on touring” excuse. Well, how many tours are being cancelled or scaled back this year. And even at that, what are they suppose to do, spend their entire lives on the road touring because that is their only source of income.
So, that’s why I buy multiples as I can afford of everything he has to offer. I want him to be happy and successful in every aspect of his life.

Hi! I just had to comment on the illegal downloading that people do. I was thinking of all the artists that David has been writing with. It is close to 70 I think. I was thinking of how he has to pay for production, pics, videos made. etc. It makes me sick that people would steal from him by illegal downloading of his music and hard work. And it is true. He just about wore himself and his voice out touring that first year non-stop. David is such a hard worker. I wish there was something that could be done to stop the illegal downloading. I am glad that we have the opportunity to pre-order David’s CD. I hope that will help some. I really really really hope his CD is not leaked at all! David deserves all the success in the world. Think of all of the performances he is doing for charities…for free….He is something else. I thought it was cool that the ending on SBL was different on the purchased version. It really reveals who downloaded illegally.
PS Been trying to get over my ODD. I keep thinking how stupid it is…..at my age….etc. My family doesn’t understand…..It is hard to stay away…

munkfod – in the beginning when I was feeling silly for spending so much time on David-related youtubes, websites, everything, I realized that hey, no one apologizes for watching 3 hours of tv at night or for spending all season watching every football game or baseball game or whatever so why should I feel bad for spending time doing what I enjoy doing? How is watching youtubes of a David concert any different from watching a football game? (of course David is way more important than football, but get what I mean).

It sickens me that David will loose any sales because of illegal downloading. Which is why I buy some much of his music to try to make up for it. I think his true fans do this, but I’m sure it’s not enough. Here’s hoping that they keep a tight lid on this CD before it drops.

For what it’s worth, I used to love to browse in record stores, checking out the new songs before I found what I came in to buy. There would always be a new cd playing through the speakers, making shopping more enjoyable. Those stores are gone now thanks to the business they lost due to the downloading of music online, legally and illegally. This means that employees of those stores lost their jobs, too. We can still get music in stores like Walmart and Target but it’s just not the same as shopping in a smaller store that sells only music.

Great subject for your argument paper!
I do not understand why whole songs are leaked before its release date, knowing well that there are “vultures” out there, waiting to illegally download.
Hearing the words “I don’t care” by these illegal downloaders (mostly young college students) really saddens me, especially coming from young people, and it reveals an attitude that needs a total overhaul. Doesn’t their college education teach them anything?
As Bebe #66 says ….”stealing anything including music, is illegal…..”
Whether musicians can “make millions” from their tours is totally immaterial……you have to give them their rightful dues.
This “stealing” thing troubles me much more when it involves David. And my heart is aching here for one who is so pure and good. We are taking from him money that he needs to make more wonderful music for us. He is not even using this hard-earned money for huge luxuries for himself or flaunting it.
So I ask now: why does Jive leak the whole song?

#68 Dear MunkFOD
Your comments tugged at my heart. Sometimes I think being a DA fan is like playing golf. In the movie “Bagger Vance” the young boy tells how he feels that golf is the best game ever invented. He tells how you can only play against yourself. How you can only get mad at yourself. And that if you cheat and no one knows but you, you judge yourself. It is totally a game about character.
So how does this compare? Well, to me, in a lot of ways it is the same. The reasons I am a DA fan are personal to me. The way it affects me when I hear him sing is personal to me. How much time I spend, my thoughts and what I get out of it are all personal to me.
Even though we share experiences and laugh about the situation (both ups and downs) together, it is still us alone by the computer or by the ipod or in the room. DA is an intensely personal experience.
So people either can relate or they can’t. Because they have not had a personal experience. I have to decide on my own why I do what I do and how valuable it is to me, how much it means in my life and why. I may not even know at first. I may have to figure it out or use others as a sounding board. (er… evidence the number of websites).
Dear MunkFOD, you know for yourself why you come and what it means. That value and experience is yours alone and no one can take it from you. Like the game of golf: you have to trust yourself.
(Dear DA: you made me take up “golf”. I really do not know how you accomplished that.)

Radical Illegal Download Remedy
Sen. Orrin Hatch Favors Destroying Computers Of Illegal Downloader
(CBS/AP) Illegally download copyright music from the Internet once, or even twice, and you get a warning. Do it a third time, and your computer gets destroyed.
That’s the suggestion made by the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee at a Tuesday hearing on copyright abuse, reflecting a growing frustration in Congress over failure of the technology and entertainment industries to protect copyrights in a digital age.
The surprise statement by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, that he favors developing technology to remotely destroy computers used for illegal downloads represents a dramatic escalation in the increasingly contentious rhetoric over pirated music.
During a discussion of methods to frustrate computer users who illegally exchange music and movie files over the Internet, Hatch asked technology executives about ways to damage computers involved in such file trading. Legal experts have said any such attack would violate federal anti-hacking laws.
“No one is interested in destroying anyone’s computer,” replied Randy Saaf of MediaDefender Inc., a secretive Los Angeles company that builds technology to deliberately download pirated material very slowly so other users can’t.
“I’m interested,” Hatch interrupted. He said damaging someone’s computer “may be the only way you can teach somebody about copyrights.”
The senator, a composer who earned $18,000 last year in song-writing royalties, acknowledged Congress would have to enact an exemption for copyright owners from liability for damaging computers. He endorsed technology that would twice warn a computer user about illegal online behavior, “then destroy their computer.”
“If we can find some way to do this without destroying their machines, we’d be interested in hearing about that,” Hatch said. “If that’s the only way, then I’m all for destroying their machines. If you have a few hundred thousand of those, I think people would realize” the seriousness of their actions.
“There’s no excuse for anyone violating copyright laws,” Hatch said.
Some legal experts suggested Hatch’s provocative remarks were more likely intended to compel technology and music executives to work faster toward ways to protect copyrights online than to signal forthcoming legislation.
A spokesman for the Recording Industry Association of America, Jonathan Lamy, said Hatch was “apparently making a metaphorical point that if peer-to-peer networks don’t take reasonable steps to prevent massive copyright infringement on the systems they create, Congress may be forced to consider stronger measures.” The RIAA represents the major music labels.
The entertainment industry has gradually escalated its fight against Internet file-traders, targeting the most egregious pirates with civil lawsuits. The RIAA recently won a federal court decision making it significantly easier to identify and track consumers — even those hiding behind aliases — using popular Internet file-sharing software.
In May, it was reported that some of the world’s biggest record companies are quietly financing the development and testing of software that would sabotage the computers and Internet connections of people who download pirated music.
According to the published report, the record companies are exploring options on new countermeasures, which some experts say have varying degrees of legality, to deter online theft: from attacking personal Internet connections in order to slow or halt downloads of pirated music to overwhelming the distribution networks with potentially malicious programs that masquerade as music files.
http://www.theboot.com/2010/07/15/james-otto-song-downloads/
In a story dated July 15, 2010
James Otto took to Twitter this week to protest illegal downloading of music, offering a specific example of how it affects artists and songwriters.
“I’ve known music piracy was rampant, but check it out,” he wrote. “This week I sold 7,500 singles (which is pretty good), but 80,000 people stole it. No wonder so many of my friends in the business are losing their jobs. Kinda scary. Half the [song]writers in Nashville can’t get a job anymore because of this. People pay five bucks for a cup of coffee, but not 99 cents for a song.

Hi. Going a bit off topic here: I was rummaging through some keepsakes of mine and I came accross this poem that was sent to me when I was in high school. Even though the person that sent it did not attach much meaning to it, I kept it. Something in the words always had special meaning to me. Even though back then I wasn’t sure what that was. When I read that poem again today, I understood. I believe that even back then, my heart was seeking and waiting for David to come along. The name of the poem was not included when it was sent to me. Also, I hope I’m not violating any copyright rules by posting it.
You are a part of me. I do not know
By what slow chemistry you first became
A vital fiber of my being. Go
Beyond the rim of time or space, the same
Inflections of your voice will sing their way
Into the depths of my mind still. Your hair
Will gleam as bright, the artless play
Of word and glance, gesture and the fair
Youg fingers waving, have too deeply edged
The pattern of your soul on mine. Forget
Me quickly as a laughing picture sketched
On water, I shall never know regret
Knowing no magic ever can set free
That part of you that is part of me.

Good Sunday morning…
You just never know when someone is reading our comments…I was at a 10 hour music fest yesterday and I am very ‘thankful’ that I could go to my iphone and tune in to The Voice. There were long intermissions while the crews changed over the equipment and did the sound checks, so I went on to the site to keep myself focused in the hot afternoon sun…Thank you commenters for being there!!
The several thousands of people filled the farmers’ fields that were gorgeous enough to be golf courses. People were friendly, lineups for food were 200 people deep but there was the music and people liked to chat…I had a few revelations while there…My friend bought us VIPs although they were not as wonderful as David’s…of course…The weather was perfect, the Bay of Fundy bordered the grounds and all was quite fine. I tried to study WHY it was taking so long for the crews on stage but I came to the conclusion after the fifth performer, that perhaps the crew feels that they are part of the performances and like the stage time and the whistles and the calls. David’s intermissions are never that long…The performers were well known stars and quite excellent with their performances but…the emotions, ah, the emotions…were not the same…I will be more brief, I missed David especially when a lovely female singer (similar to Shania Twain) told us the story about her favorite song as a child…”Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me”…Really, I thought for an instant…what? No one else is allowed to sing that song, seriuosly.
It is good to be home on this quiet Sunday…

I just have something as “food for thought”.
I intermediately comment and was graciously welcomed on my first comment back in May with a “Happy Dance from David” – a gif. of David’s dancing in Miami at the Jordan Sparks event. You just don’t know how it makes me feel to revisit that welcoming post.
Anyhow, I’ll move on.
I’ve noticed with the last few article posts that so many more fans have “come out of the closet” to post and to share their ODD with those who understand.
I’m sure the “regulars” (sorry, I emphasize with ” marks)know who they are talking to. For example, sex, age, location, depth of ODD. Sometimes when I read, I cannot tell who is commenting.
Would it be against the email rules, or the rules of THE VOICE to create a “blogger’s profile”. Maybe something on the side bar, that on a volunteer basis, would give a short profile of the email addresses that comment. Name, sex, age, location, family status (are you married, a mother, a grandmother, etc) and maybe happiest experience about David. Anything that the poster would feel comfortable in sharing.
As this website grows as a family; would just help all to know each other. Possibly help those who have misunderstood ODD or hidden ODD to join similar ODDers at a concert or something and mega-multiply the experience.
Just a thought, curious for your comments.
Have a Blessed Sunday!

Yes, I think David realizes his fans feel the same way about him. And I think he misses touring. He loves the reaction he gets. It’s all part of it. He said so at a vip.
There was a little back and forth Q and A. Someone asked what he thinks about when he sings. He said it depended on the song. He said singing feels good. Someone joked – “and all of your adoring fans?” he said he loves that part too. It’s “all a part of it. It feels good.”

Oh SB, I think this post is grand and I hope it never ends! The Smile…I know that if “a face can launch a thousand ships” David’s smile can launch ALL the ships. The only thing I can think to add to all of the beautiful thoughts, words and comments is this: For me, a large part of the beauty of David’s smile is that it is “safe.” By that, I mean that David’s smiles are real and authentic; they spring up from within him, very often in response to something ( like Zero Gravity being launched on certain cell phones during book signings), and it’s his honest response..David once said he doesn’t need to “fake smile,” and I believe him. I trust David’s smiles because he has shared with us the sincerity of his heart and thoughts. Knowing the heart behind the smiles helps me love his smiles all the more.
A lot of famous, talented people have beautiful smiles: Meg Ryan, Mario Lopez, David Letterman ( ha, kidding). What makes David’s different is the sincerity and heart of David that goes with it. None of them have videos made in tribute to their smiles ( or well perhaps I have not looked and found any) So when David smiles, it feels different than when one of those talented stars smiles..I guess we don’t just see David’s smiles.. we feel them and we believe them.

I don’t believe that we have said it all about David’s smile. Smiles have healing properties that we didn’t get into for starters and I suppose a smile bringing on a great feeling of well being falls into that category. His smile has effects on people around the world and this is done without a word spoken.
When David speaks about Christmas and birthdays and presents, he tells us that the gifts are not what is foremost of importance to him. Sincerity and compassion along with caring are more important, therefore David is an exceptional person especially in the entertainment industry. David is one of the figures who stands up against the concept of revolving around the self. We would love to see the world revolve more around David’s beliefs and that is why he is priceless…or one reason…

Card #2~Thank-you Pabuckie for pictures in comments #6-#10 except #8 because it was not a picture. We found that as much as we wanted to, we could not bring ourselves to comment on them, but we tried.
Card #3~Thank-you Angelica for adding the beautiful slideshow tribute of ‘Smile’ sung by Michael Jackson with the awesome pictures of David. What a wonderful combination of singers.
Card #4~Thanks to all the admins. for additional videos and pictures which are always great for our viewing pleasure.
Card #5~Thank you to Mother Teresa for her beautiful quotes, although she is gone her memory lives on. I would love Mother Teresa to have had the occasion to meet David and then write a quote about him.

Grabbed these tweets from another site:
@ billboardcritic: Power pop vocal production of the week goes to David Archuleta’s new single “Something ‘Bout Love”
@billboardcritic Archuleta’s sophomore album is the true test of any “Idol” grad ability to fulfill his or her potential. Insiders say he’s done just that!
WOO HOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!

SB#132 I’ve been a fan of Enrique’s for a long time but lately he’s gotten a little OTT. He used to bring ladies up onstage and sing to them but it’s evolved into more about touchy-feely than about the song. Whatever works for him, I guess.

#130, idk, but I don’t get it. What is this called exactly… performance petting? It’s not that I have a problem with it, it’s perfectly innocent, I guess I just don’t see the big deal (any chance I’m out of the required age bracket?)
I’ll take this any day of the week
or every single Rexburg performance!
(Can I say, I am very sad muldur’s Rexburg videos are now private, even though I totally understand. They were amazing, as they always are.)

Bebe…I just finished showing the video to my daughter and she said almost word for word what you wrote. He must be looking for something different in his stage presentation. I haven’t seen a video of him for some time…
You are so right Emmegirl and we are so fortunate.

I agree with you about Enrique – too OTT. Too “touchy-feely”. David does not need to do that to get our love – and I don’t think he will ever do that.

Oh Yes!!
“David Archuleta is a force to be reckned with.”
Took them a long time to wake up and realise it!
By the way, how does he Sing AND Smile simultaneously?
I tried it just now, but my mouth just can’t form the words properly while smiling.
Super slide show Abrra – so professional! And he looks so YUM!
