Bebereader has been at it again, gathering videos for The Voice Unplugged Theme Night. To whit…
It’s Friday Night at the Movies again!
Our theme is: Jingle Balls/Jingle Jams,Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and all that jazz!
THIS Friday, April 23 at 10 pm EST
The last two theme nights, the snacks of choice have been chocolate and popcorn. This time, in honor of Kizzi’s lovely visual from the last thread, reposted below, we are indulging in some of David’s favorite foods.
“It’s always so good to see the “home fires” burning here at The Voice 
and all the welcoming & comfy, cozy sofas, chairs, and fluffy pillows 
strewn about and especially the tea, coffee,fruit smoothies, 
protein shakes, occasional wheat shots 
& the hummus/pita chips, 
pad Thai, 
cookies, 
sandwiches, chocolates…and more…that are here for us guests to sample at will. Good stuff!”

So inviting, Angelica! The Jingle shows were when I first met many of the lovely fan/friends… who are here. So the theme is an especially memorable one.
Unfortunately, I will be out of town for the next few days and unable to visit. Sad, I know. I don’t comment much, but I keep all of you in my thoughts… as we all travel along “Archuleta Avenue!”

Today, Rascal, in a transparent attempt to show us how he really, after all is said and done, loves David, put up a bucnh of pictures that we’ve all seen a million times before. When poster Goboywonder, exposes Rascal’s charade by posting “Somehow after the tone of the last thread, this rings hollow to me”, Rascal immediately (the next post) responds by posting “Really, Goboywonder, we don’t need to know every last mundane thought that goes through your head…”
Goboywonder made the fatal mistake of “seeing through” Rascal, and had the guts to post it. Rascal reacted in character by chopping off Goboywonder’s head. It’s like the French Revolution over there.

She was just kidding and knew full well he was far from perfect but being Cary Grant, he was close enough to it to not to matter. 😆

I’m so “stoked” (as David says) about his appearance at the Gala and more so to hear him sing again.

Wow, Abs, I love where you live. Absolutely beautiful!! So green and pristine. I wanna visit sometime! I bet it is so awesome in the fall, too, when the leaves are changing. You are lucky to live in that farmland paradise with your family.
These last few days have been so different with all that has been going on. Claudia and I have talked a few times and that has been good to talk to someone close by and vent our feelings about it all, but I have to tell you, this is where I find my comfort. This whole week I have been enjoying getting my emails on my phone and so I get to see all the comments as soon as they have posted (needless to say, not much is getting done on my part), and they are all so awesome. The pictures, the feelings, the ideas, the joy, and so on are such a boost to my days and I really just want to say, thank you so much, to The Voice” for being who you are. You are the best place to call home. I am forever grateful that I came out of lurking and commented. I would still be lost out there and not have made such wonderful friends who feel about David as I do.
I am so looking forward to the chat tomorrow night Just praying that nothing interferes with it. So far, so good. But you never know what might pop up at the last minute. But, I am planning on it, so what can I bring? Lots of hugs to all of you!

The photo of David at the Atlanta Jingle Jam brings back the memory of the MOST MEMORABLE after concert nights of my life! It was the night two friends & I ran into David & members of his family in the lobby of the Holiday Inn. And then again the next morning! I will never, ever forget the experience! It was the end of my life as I knew it and the beginning of the rest of my life with David in it. UNCONDITIONALLY & forever!

I was reading Dean Kaelin’s book about David last night (finally remembered I hadn’t finished the last few chapters) and in doing so discovered how absolutely run-down David was after his Manila trip. I guess he was running on empty and feeling pretty ill for quite some time after he got home. But, he pushed himself each day to perform and rehearse like there was no tomorrow. I knew he was sick here and there, but didn’t realize it was as bad as it was. He is so devoted to his love of music and his fans that he risks his health. (David, please don’t do that again! Mama Tawna is talkin’ to you!–shakes pointer finger at imaginary figure in front of me)
abs- I have rainbows against the mountains by my house that can be gorgeous, but your’s tonight was breathtaking. Loved it and your thoughts about it’s meaning. ❤

Wonder if anyone took a video? Can’t wait for pictures… and videos would be even better but those people in high places might look down on anyone taking vids? I’m sure David was a bit nervous but that’s when he usually blows your socks off. He performs so well under pressure and that’s a hard thing to master especially because when he was younger he would have a panick attack before a performance. That’s why sometimes, I have a hard time watching him perform on live TV because it makes my stomach churn and I would get really worried about him and would just pray that he would be satisfied with his performance afterwards. I think Abrra’s rainbows are good omen for David’s performance tonight. Hope he sang POTC too.

I noticed that, for the first time, David sang the original lyric, “sharing ALL the world” and not “sharing FOR the world. On AI, he sang, for the first time, “no HELL below us”, not “no EVIL below us”. Both changes, IMO, indicate that David is maturing as both a person and an artist. I believe that we will be seeing many more of these subtle examples of David becoming a more worldy young man, as his influence and comfort level increases. I fully expect to be blown away with David’s growing sophistication when he is interviewed about his book.
As for last night, what feels more “right’ than David, a stage and a great song? “Imagine” sounded fresh and new, with a few cool changes that only an artist on the level of David can accomplish.
It’s only a matter of time before Hollywood or Broadway comes calling. He is so talented and handsome, and has a fan base that cannot get enough of him. Could you imagine David in a dramtic role like “Rebel Without a Cause”? He’d be great.

Abrra, that took all of 10 seconds for you to get that up. Very impressed. They “remake” so many lousy movies these days. How about remaking a classic like RWAC. Unfortunately, there aren’t any James Deans out there in the acting world to do the role justice, until NOW. I truly believe that with a little training, could be a first rate dramatic actor. Elvis had that ability, but wasn’t given the chance to grow as an actor because he was completely under the control of Col. Parker, who was making too much money off of Elvis making movies like “Girls, Girl;s, Girls”.
In the meantime, we’ll be content to have David be the best singer on earth and a best selling author.

David’s new blog from LA!
Hey everyone
I am checking in from LA today, and I’ve had some good writing sessions this week already. I worked with Guy Chambers, who wrote Angels with Robbie Williams, and Erika Nuri from The Writing Camp. I also had writing sessions last week with Sam Hollander and Sluggo, who my friend Travis from We The Kings actually told me about because he has worked a lot with them. I also worked with a bunch of other really great writers, who you’ve probably seen me talk about on Twitter. But I actually have another writing session today with the Nexus lol. And I’ll let you guys know how that goes too!
So I was able to go home for a couple of days, and I got to spend time with my family!! Sunday was my cousin’s birthday, and I had all of my mom’s sisters and some of my cousins over visiting from out of town. It was so great getting to have them all there and hanging out with them! A lot of them have birthdays near each other so we just celebrated all of them at once. But family is such a great thing to have, and to have them supporting you and just being there to lift each other up makes a big difference. Having family or friends who are basically family there to do that for you is a huge blessing.
Last night I performed at the BritWeek Gala Event honoring Sir Richard Branson, and was supporting the foundations Save the Children and Virgin Unite. It was a really great night! I was asked to sing Imagine, and then I also sang Prayer of the Children. Nigel Lythgoe had asked me to come sing at the event. It’s funny because I actually ran into him at the Atlanta airport not too long ago, and after I saw him there is when he asked me to come sing. Since he was one of the executive producers on American Idol while I was there, I owe a lot to him for giving me the opportunities I’ve been able to have from the show. He’s a good guy haha. But man, Morgan Freeman was there and I wish I had gotten the chance to meet him! I went to use the restroom and kept getting stopped and talking to people, never really getting time to go over and talk to him. But I think he’s just one of the coolest guys.
In LA there are a lot of signs around saying “April is Earthquake Preparedness Month.” I think it’s really important to remind people about how we need to think about what we would do in an emergency like an earthquake, or any other kind of situation like that. I think it’d be great if you have a family to go through what everyone would do in an emergency, and come up with a plan on how to deal with things. Things like food storage and emergency kits can be so useful in an emergency. I probably sound weird right now lol, but I think with everything happening it’s important to get people thinking about it and being prepared for possible events to happen. Keeping a water supply, non-perishable foods, flashlights, things like that. Just to keep in mind I guess. There are websites you can find out more info on. Here are a couple:

I don’t want to sound like I’m paranoid or anything lol, but you never know what could happen. I’m going to try and get back home for the weekend and just go through things with my family and make a plan too. I remember in school they were talking about how Utah is due for a pretty big earthquake too, and with everything going on right now you never know what could happen.
Well sorry for going off on that, but I’m going to get back into this writing session I’ll tweet later and try to get another blog up next week. Adios!

What a long excruciating day I had because I KNEW what was awaiting me on The Voice! The photos of David from last night made me catch a breath. I can’t even begin to find the words. And I just love his hair now. It looks so soft & touchable!
And, speaking of catching a breath, as I watched the video snippet of his performance last night, I didn’t just catch a breath..He left me breathless! PLEASE let there be video of him singing the entire songs! It’s cruel to tease us this way…
Now I have to read David’s blog…I just hope I can get through it without shedding a tear as I already watched “I Am Not A Robot”. I really liked it..but don’t like that David maybe feels the need to remind us of that fact.

Was apprehensive reading David’s blog. I was so afraid I would be able to detect the pain he must have suffered this last week and I did. I am so glad he was home where he feels understood, secure & loved unconditionally.
I have no idea if David will be staying in LA or going home to Utah or elsewhere, but just in case he’s traveling tomorrow or even if he’s not…
Dear Lord,
Please take care of David. Watch over him and protect him from all harm.
Cloak him with your love and give him the strength to endure all that is thrown in his path. Give David the courage and guidance to say no to those who ask for more than he can reasonably give.
Surround David with loving and supportive people who will love him UNCONDITIONALLY as we, his Archangels do.
Separate David from those who have agendas other than for his well being.
Give him rest when he’s weary and stamina to sustain his hectic pace.
Give him assurance when he feels doubt and give him joy when he feels sad.
Keep him always in your protective arms during this time on his journey.

Theme Night was a rousing success!
We had a terrific turnout…35 at one point in The Voice Unplugged!
It was a pleasure to spend the evening with other fans who love and respect David and to celebrate his artistry together. Glad to see so many “new faces” and to see our regulars as well.
David brings us so much joy each and every day with his voice, his smile, his humility and his good nature. He makes it so easy to love him.
