Angelica: Sorry it’s taken me so long to comment on your article. I recognize this article, and I’ve read it before, but I didn’t remember the explanation about the vocal cords. Thanks for reposting it, which I’m pretty sure you did because of my confusion about David’s voice. Your description of his vocal problems is so vivid and clear that I understand it perfectly. Here’s hoping I remember it this time!

Suzy-Q: “God gave David this gift because he trusted David to use his voice to help and inspire people all around the world. David is fully aware of this . . .” That’s almost exactly what I thought when I first discovered David in December as he was singing in the MoTab Christmas concert broadcast. In fact, I stated that very idea in my letter to him.

Poco: Thanks for a great video. I wonder where you found David’s quote? “Be kind and courteous to everyone no matter what they do to you!! Because at the end of the day, you have to sleep with all the choices you’ve made, not the ones they made.” This is a pretty profound statement from such a young guy. If you say it was in Chords of Strength, I’ll just have to demand my copy back from the person who borrowed it, so I can read it again!

Poof: I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. But it is sweet and touching that he was surrounded by the love of his family. Love is the most important thing we can give to each other.

Hello all~
Have not posted in a while, but hope it’s okay to pop in to say, Angelica…love your take on this, beautifully written in your signature “voice”, and movingly illustrated, as usual. I feel the love, calm and peace in those pics, as I do in David’s voice.

Perfectly put. I love the breathy quality in his voice…as well as what I call “that little cry” I hear, the “pain and heartache that is genuine”..that breaks my heart, in so many good ways, all the time. Lovely article, perfect title. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
