As for David singing The Long and Winding Road… David has an impeccable sense of timing, of when to soften the notes, when to crescendo, how to use his vibrato without in any way overdoing it. It is more than that he feels the music but that he interprets the emotion that needs to be in each note so perfectly (because I feel the music but am sure I wouldn’t know to interpret those notes, even if I didn’t sing like a frog). :-)

It is a combination of feeling and technique. He know the technique for getting from a note exactly what he wants from it – and I think it is in his cells, because he seems able to do it without thinking about it. He knows.

I could go on and on, but so could all of you. He’s just got it.

Also, when David sings someone else’s song, he owns those too! :) He is just the best and can’t be beat, period! I compare everyone with David and no one even holds a candle to him! Therefore, the only music I buy anymore is David’s!!!!

Abrra, I figured the teens would keep Lazaro. He seemed better tonight and I hope things work out for him, whatever that may be. It does take a lot of guts to go in front of 30 million people when you can’t talk, so he may do better than we think. The top 4 was the same top 4 as last week and that was unusual. My favorite is Kree. :)

Poor guy. How stressful it must be in the top 9 and then to be criticized can’t be easy. But song choice is so important. I see that now.

Candice’s performance of ‘Come Together’ impressed me!

But Devin’s “Long and Winding Road’ fell short, IMO. I listened with an open heart and mind and tried not to compare but….David feels the song, tells the story of the song and makes sure we understand. Nobody compares.

It’s very simple. The contestants should not sing any song that David sang on that show.
