I think I became a fan BECAUSE he was gone. The Christmas concert with the MOTAB introduced me to him (in a really great way!! Still listening to it!), but the Christmas concert in Chile sealed it. His suit and tie and missionary nametag to me showed his great humility and his commitment to God–he was not trying to please the world. His singing was so transcendent–especially O Holy Night–that it literally pierced my heart and reached into my soul and filled it with beauty and light. His countenance, as well, showed his devotion to God. What I saw in him, I want for myself.
