Well that was an interesting video chat. The camera lowered to focus on just the bottom half of his face through almost the whole thing. SnowAngelz tweeted “It’s like he suddenly joined the Witness Protection Program.” LMBO!
It was good though.
Now on to 6 Flags where he hopes to ride a rollercoaster.

The Live Chat was great! The only complaint was that when David finally sat down, the camera wasn’t angled right and focused on his neck down. But we did get to see his face for a little while! And gaaaah. He’s beautiful!
These are the questions I remember and they’re in no particular order. I know that I left some out. If anyone else was there for the chat, feel free to add what I missed.
What was the first song you ever wrote? “Falling”, at 15 years old. He wasn’t comfortable singing a clip of it for us. He said “They’ve heard it.”
What artist or band would you like to tour with? He said he wasn’t sure and that he’d be too intimidated to mention some of the people he’d want to tour with. Then he said “Billy Joel”.
Spanish album? He said it’s still one of his goals and something he really wants to do. He has to wait for the right time to fit it into his schedule.
Did you think you’d ever be this famous? He said “Not really. You don’t realize how many people watch American Idol. It’s crazy!”
Can you walk down the street? “Everyone can walk down the street.” (giggles) He said if he’s recognized, his fans are very respectful and they just say “hi”.
How do you spend your days off? He said when he’s on the road, he likes to walk around looking for places, being a tourist. He looks for Ma and Pa-type restaurants.
When will you be visiting Indonesia? He said he hopes soon. He said he went to Singapore and Malaysia and The Philippines and it was great and that the fans there are incredible!
Will you go on any rides today? He said he plans to; he loves roller coasters.
Are you stronger on piano or guitar? He’s practiced guitar a little bit but it’s something else that he feels a litle self conscious about. He said he enjoys playing piano and should be practicing more.
How do ideas for songs come to you? He said it just comes to him, sometimes it’s something that’s on his mind and that every song is written differently.
What’s your favorite track on the album? “Elevator” and “The Other Side of Down”, the title track.
Favorite memory of his birthday? He was in Georgia for a family reunion when he was 16 or 17 and got to spend his birthday with his family. It was during Idol, and nobody knew about Idol yet.
Favorite song performed? He said he loves Christmas music and he likes to do Robbie Williams’ “Angels” because it’s a good heartfelt song.

I can’t say much cuz I am expected to do a recap I will say that Davod was in fine form. And I am to mature for moshing. I suck at taking pics or videos . No computer til tomorrow. U have to be patient. I think I missed a lot of other David activity. While I was driving away from Providence He was heading to there /le sigh. I had no chance to win the WproFM M&G. Funny how some win repeatedly. Lol

bebe #34–that re-cap from Kayce was hilarious! She is one lucky girl! David is so dang human that it’s unbelievable. How he really does not consider himself famous (although he really does know he is) and he treats everyone he meets like they’ve been his friend for a lifetime. To ride a monster rollercoaster and be worried about his hair–he just makes me laugh!! Gotta love him! {{{hearts}}}

I love the upbeat SBL, with the track behind it. The acoustic is really good, too, but I think this song is so high energy and bursting at the seams for David to jump around the stage. I can just imagine it with a live band! David’s jumping is so infectious.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! The SBL with the track is AMAZING!!!!!!! That energy is so great and the audience is loving it. I really like the acoustic SBL too but I think that the high energy of the song with the track is just so exciting! Woo hooo!

hi!
about the brunch, he sang 5 songs. it was only about 50 ppl. they let us stand right in front of him. everyone was quiet and polite and supportive.
he did SBL, elevator, tmh, altnoy, and crush. he chatted a little in between songs and when he first came out.
we got to go up to talk to him either in groups or 1 by 1. i went up alone. i didn’t want to hog time with him because others there had never met him. he said “nice to see you again” and i told him i was going to six flags and a lot of his fans would be there and he was happy to hear that. i gave him a card and asked for a hug. it was a good one! he was in a good mood cause the station is always so nice to him. i’m super short so i had to stand on my toes a little and reach around him but he gave me a nice hard hug.
after we were done, we stood around kind of just watching him with other people. i wanted to watch him with the younger kids cause it was adorable.
then we all left and he came out the back door and waved to everyone. he drove by my friend’s car and waved at us out the window again. it was a great time!
i’m going to post some pictures from the brunch and 6 flags on snarkies in a little while. feel free to share them/post them here. <3
sorry i missed some of you that went to six flags! it was chaos!
